It doesn't say anything about Sinbad only accepting sex as a payment, or there not being anyone else that could take her, it actually says A riverboat captain not THE.
Is he bad for accepting alternative ways of payment or is he bad for not doing his work for free? |
If we want to be that specific, then the story said she loved Gregory, not that he necessarily loved her. It follows up calling them lovers, but how do we know that Gregory wasn't just some guy she was pining for and totally got fucked up just because he was like "WTF, why did you do all that?"
