So with Vic's flip it says the recruitment would fail if he targeted scum, but didn't mention anything about masons or getting attacked if he targeted scum. Makes me think Lamps is in fact Mason since Angi voucned for him, and Vic was also attacked. Thoughts?

Honestly, I'm not sure we can read much into Lamps from Vic's flip.

1. Vic could have tried to recruit Lamps and failed because Lamps is scum.
2. Vic could have tried to recruit Lamps and failed because [insert other reason here - caused by other players (i.e. roleblock/redirect/etc)]
3. Vic could have tried to recruit Lamps and failed because Lamps is a Mason and Mason's can't be recruited (hidden text?)
4. Vic could have been caught scum, and gave out Lamps' name to try to redirect the lynch to a new target.

I'd guess it's some combination of #3 and #4, because if Lamps is scum, then Angi has to be scum with how strong she came out in the defense of the Mason claim.

I'm still very confused about the whole Lamps thing. Why would his recruitment fail? If he couldn't recruit masons would it say something in his role flip or would the mods have left that out so as not to give away the fact that there's a mason group?

If this is the case, I hope the mods left it out on purpose, because mod confirming things is annoying.

I think lamps and Angi are masons because I don't see Angi as making that move if they're scum together. That being said, we could go on forever theorizing on whether or not a recruit on masons would work, or if it would attack Vic just like a recruit on scum..

We could just lynch Lamps today and settle all the questions.

Just to be clear, I don't think we should lynch Lamps today. If people think this is a gate-gate situation, it's more like a baby-gate.

Vic was lynched on Day 4. He claims to have been roleblocked on N1. This means he likely attempted to recruit on N2 and N3.

If you believe he tried to recruit Lamps and failed, then there is at least one more cult member out there right now.

If you believe he faked his attempt on Lamps, it's possible there are at least 2 more cult members out there right now.

Add to that, 5 or 6 likely mafia members, and this is starting to get dire for town.

Shout out to Primate, who's now killed the Town Forensic Investigator, the Town Vanilla, and tried to kill the Town Doctor.

No wonder we haven't caught any mafia yet...Primate is doing their job for them.

I believe her claim, so it doesn't make any sense to me to lynch Lamps. If it makes me scummy to not want to lynch claimed (and backed up) town mason, then primate might as well shoot me tonight.

I thought about it, and honestly, I don't think it's a move that Angi tries (or even thinks about trying) this early in the game. Think about it, if we'd have lynched Lamps instead of Vic, and he turned up scum, Angi would be automatically lynched. Even if they are scum, losing two people that quickly would kill any hopes of trying to win in the end.

Your focus on this makes me think it's possible Vic visited you N2 or N3...

Has going after active players worked yet?

Also, his few posts seem informed, which would easily be done if he was in a group with a PF to keep him up-to-date.

I don't remember all the rules, but I think it takes more than 1 vote to lynch someone, right?

All I'm doing is trying to induce some pressure to see if he'll participate more than he has.
