Especially when considering there is a good chance that Mittens had been previously roleblocked given that only one person this game was ever poisoned that we know.

I think mafia was counting on the fact that it would look super sus for three people to claim they were role blocked. Had J$ not screwed up, and Brian not interjected explaining the third block, I think that could have easily caused confusion and lead town to mislynch yesterday (likely on me because of my level of activity in past day phases).

Have we had any way to confirm that Timmah is in fact what he says he is? Is it possible he could be some other type of third party?

I'm not really that clear on what all the third party roles are that you could be. But most third party roles are pretty much automatic lynches. Lyncher is one of the only third party roles that I am aware of that is a reasonably safe claim if you come up as anti-town (other than Survivor). So if you are lying, and are basically any other role at all, it's bad for town to keep you alive.

But that said, you have been pretty effective at reading who is scum so far. I do agree that Helios is pretty high on the list, as you mentioned earlier.

This assumes you are town and actually were role blocked. If you were scum, J$ easily could have told you to claim it knowing he got 2 actions that night and needed to make sure it looked like he used both. You still possibly could have used whatever night action you have if it's one that couldn't be found out somehow or simply sat back and did nothing that night if it could.

So the scenario that you think happened is that mafia receives an extra roleblock from Brian and they decide not to capitalize on that luck and waste the block despite so that I can falsely claim I was blocked? They'd also be doing this despite the fact that they are down in numbers and really need things to turn around... What would mafia gain? A little bit of misdirection at the cost of actually blocking someone relevant.

And if your scenario was correct, don't you think that J$ would be prompting me on the scum board instead of publicly demanding that I confirm I was roleblocked? Posting it publicly kinda defeats the whole purpose, no?

Fair enough, scum has been pretty weak this game. But no, not scum, and I was legitimately roleblocked.

As a side note, I don't know how you considered my post to be really long. It was medium length, at most?

I'm gonna put my vote on Timmah. Two people have votes on me and I am legitimately town. Even if he's as harmless as a lyncher, he's still third party. I can claim if necessary.
