Jeff. Playing scummy all the time is not at all a valid excuse against playing scummy in an individual game. By that logic we should NEVER lynch you because this is "just how I always play!!"

It sucks when the good discussion comes at the final hour. This could've all been useful much earlier in the day

Fucking every single game I'm lynched around this time because someone says "oh look Merc hasn't said much let's lynch him", this is almost worse than playing Mafia with the 15 year old kids I'm supervising, they didn't lynch someone after both the watcher and a cop on consecutive days had tried to lynch him and died the following night.

OooooKAY. Sorry, Robette got off work early and I got press-ganged into running errands.

The day began at 2:42 PM EST, and officially ended at 2:42 PM EST, which means that Jeff's vote for Merc was the last one that officially counts. Had he been a few seconds later, we would have ended with a tie.

Flavour up in a few.

"Okay, guys, enough of this garbage," said Boc. "We need to organize this stuff and make a good decision."

"I agree," said Ari. "Let's kill Boc."

"Don't be ridiculous," snapped Boc. "We should kill Jeff."

"I think we should kill Merc," put in Curtis. "I don't like his tie."

Everybody looked at Merc, who was wearing a paisley tie that looked like it had been vomited up by Elton John.

"That's not a tie," snapped Henry. "That's a noose! The goverment makes you wear them so they can sneak up and strangle you in your office if you don't toe the party line properly!"

This sparked a long discussion over whether or not it was, in fact, a tie for Merc.

"Enough of this!" snapped Jeff. "It's not a tie, and Merc must die!"

Merc may have been reasonably quiet, but he was no dummy. As soon as Jeff's ill-fated attempt at rhyme had finished, Merc ran for the stairs. Jeff grabbed for him, and missed. Merc rocketed up the stairs, passed the second floor, and headed for the third.

He was about to get away, but tragically, slipped on a small puddle of something wet and dark. Merc hit the tile floor of the third floor landing, hard. He scrambled upright, and felt something latch onto his jacket.

"No!" Merc screamed. "You're making a mistake!"

"The only thing I'm making," retorted Jeff, "is a mess on the floor."

With that, he hurled Merc over the railing. The snowman's head splattered all over the lobby.

Mercator, AKA Lawrence, Town Veterinarian, has been lynched Day 3.

Alignment: Town

Role: Veterinarian

Flavour: You’re used to treating animals – cats, dogs, the occasional iguana or parakeet, and you’re reasonably up-to-date on the latest medical news. You know a bit about the latest bio-terrorist virus threat, but you’re not at all sure that you’re qualified to offer any real opinions on it.

Ability: Once per night, you may choose a player. Since you specialize in animals, not people, you have a 50% chance of protecting them from nightkills, and a 10% chance of accidentally killing them due to incompetence.

Win Condition: You win when all CDC players are dead.

Night 3 begins now. You have 24 hours to get your actions in, but if they're all in by 2 PM EST or so, I'll post early.
