Badger has been lynched.

"This town ain't big enough for the two of us."

"You want to go in there?" Badger asked.

"Yeah," replied Eben.

"Who the hell knows what kind of death trap that place is? Do you not remember what just happened in the backyard?"

"Yeah," Eben started. "But aren't you curious about what kind of people might live here?"

"I am," Angi said, raising her hand. "Plus, I kinda have this impulse to want to just go in there."

"Right?" replied Eben. "Like that's where we're supposed to be!"

"I get that same feeling actually," Wikey said.

"Me too," Rose added.

Badger sighed. "You guys are all nuts."

Eben picked the lock and pushed open the front door.

"After you," he said, addressing Badger.

"Whatever," said Badger, as he led the way inside.

As soon as Badger stepped foot in the house, a snarling dog came charging at him.

"Yaahh!" screamed Badger, as the dog ripped his right arm clean off with its teeth!

"Oh god!" yelled Wikey as he quickly exited the house and shut the front door, leaving Badger alone in the house, to die of his wounds.
