You get to pick between Chespin/Froakie/Fennekin and then you also get to pick between Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charmander... and if you preorder you can get a Torchic!

Gen I: Squirtle (every once in a while I will play with Bulbasaur)
Gen II: Totodile (always)
Gen III: Mudkip (always. I hate Treeko and Torchic is weak to just about everything. Blaziken is cool though)
Gen IV: I've only played through this game once actually because I hated it so much and I picked Piplup
Gen V: I've only played it twice because I hate it more than P/D/Pl and I picked Oshawott both times

I thought the Torchic deal is connecting to the Nintendo Network when the game comes out. >_>

actually I don't know I assumed it was like a gamestop thing but I honestly haven't looked into it.

I am pretty sure you need to connect to the Network because a lot of people are not going to preorder from Gamestop, there is a lot of other stuff.

Like I pre-ordered from Future Shop (Cdn. version of Best Buy) and I got both X and Y for $50 (they had a deal going on in June).

like you don't need to pre-order there usually, you just need to download it at a gamestop within the window.

Totadile is the best.

Charmander, Torchic and gen 4 and 5 sucked.

I just like the variation of Feraligatr's move sets throughout the game. You can cover most challenges with his naturally learned moveset. Typhlosion has better stats though.

Meh stats. I use the pokemon that I like.

I can only go so far with some of the pokemon I like. Something like an Aipom will only get you so far!!! (though I did a solo run with one and it sucked hardcore!!)
