Yeah, for such big happenings in the game, I thought the episode was anti-climactic.
I hope Corinne gives Phillip the boot...that would be wonderful!

I'm still holding out hope that Erik and Brenda will suddenly wake up and realize that they were clearly on the bottom of the Favorites tribe, and their only hope of getting anywhere is to turn around and screw Malcolm and Andrea. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening.
Also, I'm more than a little bewildered by the potential Malcolm/Reynold alliance. That coupling doesn't make good strategic sense for either of them, and I feel like the amount of smug and douchey confessionals we're going to get as a result is going to make me violently ill.
I was actually pretty surprised that Matt left, if only because he was one of the people getting major airtime on the Fans, so it seemed like he'd be in for the long haul. But if nothing else, the fact that we actually knew one of the pre-jurors' names and a bit about them is a good sign that the editors have learned how to keep the episodes from being blindingly obvious, and it gives me hope for the future. Now let's just hope the same thing happens to Malcolm.
I also LOLed really hard at Corinne this episode. Not only was her purple Hitler stache amazing, but her instant love of Michael because he's gay was also pretty hilarious. I'm sure she thinks she's being amazingly politically correct about it, but if you have a working knowledge of basic critical skills, what she's actually saying is, "I'm formulating my entire opinion of this person based on nothing but their sexuality, without bothering to consider any other factors" which as far as I'm aware is actually exactly the opposite of what tolerance is. Not to mention that she refers to him as "my gay," instead of by name. Shouldn't we be judging people as individuals, not by which categories they fall into?
I also got a good laugh out of Phillip attempting to talk about the strong points of his strategy last time around. Now, this might just be me, but I feel like "be Boston Rob's bitch, and do literally nothing else" is not the kind of strategy that's worth bragging about. In fact, I don't even really think you can call it a strategy, since strategies usually involve benefitting yourself instead of someone that's obviously manipulating you and calling you a moron.

Yeah, it bugged me listen to Phillip talk about "making big moves in my season" to people. Bottom line is he didn't; no one in that season did except like 2 or 3 people...and all but one got voted out because of it.
I would love to see Andrea bite the dust very soon. Her woe is me crying spurts and her nosy strategy bugs the crap out of me. Cochran hasn't been getting as much air time and they're spreading it out more which makes me happy. I could be fine with 2 or 3 Cochran confessionals and then spreading it out. Erik got one, Malcolm got some...still not much of Brenda. She is either playing really low key, or she just hasn't been saying anything that pertains to the game happenings.
Was surprised to see Matt leave as well, but I think that's what he gets for sticking with Shamar from the beginning. I'm glad that alliance is burning.

Gotta love episodes where the two people who are actually up on the chopping block get a total of five minutes screen time. Golly. I like Phillip, I do. But he's comedy relief for me. There's no reason this guy should be the center of a tribe, let alone the fuggin entire show.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of the merge coming up already, think we had a few opportunities for drama on both sides before we got to that point. |

I hate Phillip at this point. I'm sick of watching him. He used to be entertaining, but his craziness mixed with his delusions of grandeur just irritate me.

I'm glad Malcolm and Cochran got good airtime this week, but still no Brenda or Erik.
Brenda was cute during the challenge though!

Sad Julia left. Though Cochran's confessional was hands down the funniest thing I've ever witnessed. Phillip for as big of an idiot he is did the smart thing but not voting out Michael. He needs Corinne for now. He might join Malcolm's jock alliance because he is really strong.
I would of liked the merge at 11 or even 10 and it would of gotten rid of Michael and Corinne more than likely. But I think the merge game is going to be really good. I have no idea which way it is going to go!
