I think it'll be fun to scan through the movies and see what i've seen or at least what I remember seeing from years past as well.

To expand on this, I would bet the number of times I've seen Dumb and Dumber is about triple the number of times I've seen any other movie

It's sorta mine and my dad's movie and mine and my sister's movie and mine and my best friends' movie so it's a heavy personal fav

I’m trying to slowly complete major directors’ filmographies for my ranked lists. Right now I’m rotating through cause I don’t really wanna watch 6 movies by Wes Anderson or someone in a row

In the past few days I’ve watched:

1 Spielberg
1 PT Anderson
1 Wes Anderson
1 Coen Brothers
1 Shyamalan
1 Eastwood
1 Sofia Coppola

Wes Anderson’s movie was the best from that batch. Today I might pick eitherrrrr

Scorsese
Aronofsky
Tarantino
Danny Boyle
Nolan
Villeneuve

Any other consistent directors you can think of??

Malick seems kinda hit or miss. Have you seen anything outside of Tree of Life yet? Thin Red Line maybe? Some of his recent ones interested me but people seemed to rly dislike them

yeah that's the only other one I've seen from him. Tree of Life >>> Thin Red Line, but it was worth watching for the cinematography alone

I'll probably skip his most recent ones but def plan on seeing The New World/Badlands/Days of Heaven at some point

it sounds like with Radegund (his next movie coming out this year) he learned from his recent MISSTEPS tho so I'm looking forward to that

"Lately – I keep insisting, only very lately – have I been working without a script and I’ve lately repented the idea. The last picture we shot, and we’re now cutting, went back to a script that was very well ordered."
