oh man.
That last few minutes of season 2...
I was going to take a mini-break before the final season, but I don't think that's going to happen now. |
I said the same thing at this exact point....and haven’t watched an episode since :x
One day I’ll watch s3 |
I'm starting season 3 tomorrow night.

I watched right when I got home from work. I picked up some dinner on the way, then sat myself down in front of the telly.
Season 3 Episode 1
|
It answered some of the cliffhangers the previous season ended with, but it also felt like nothing really happened? Slow, slow, build but I expect things to be cuckoo by the finale.
Sally did not have the reaction I expected when Meg told her about John killing Danny. And neither when Kevin told her what he did.
This Roy Gilbert character is still the mysterious benefactor type. What exactly are his motives?
I expect Meg to kill someone by the end of the series as well, either O'Bannon, his sister Chelsea or Ozzy. There was no Danny flashback and no Nolan/Eve in this episode.
It was also shortest run-time of all the eps I think. |
Season 3 Episode 2
|
Things turned even darker. Kevin almost died. But will he be in the clear now? A handful of people are aware that he killed Marco though.
The family is together again.
Poor Eric O'Bannon hasn't really done anything, and he's always fearing for his life. I was feeling bad for the dude and then he goes and leaves his mother with empty oxygen tanks because he had to leave town or meet with Ozzy or whatever. And I was like, I don't care what happens to him now.
Sally seems to knows more than she lets on sometimes. I really want to know what's up with Roy Gilbert.
and where are Nolan and Eve? |
Season 3 Episode 3
|
At a certain point, I wanted everyone to just get caught so it'd be over and I'd have to stop worrying about all the Rayburns. This cannot end well for any of them. Aguirre annoys me so much. I liked that Marco got a funeral episode as a send-off for the character and that Meg got to be part of it. But her and Kevin are done. I wonder how long that will last. Eric O'Bannon is in custody and now it's pretty much his word against John's and Kevin's and Meg's. I feel kind of bad for him because he was really loyal to Danny and now he could go down for Danny's murder of all things. But there's still 7 more episodes so I'm sure it's not over yet. |
Season 3 Episode 4
|
Bit of a time jump in this one. 5 months have gone by. It's nice to see Kevin as a dad. Meg has disappeared, and she was missed! I need Linda Cardellini in Bloodline. Roy Gilbert has now gotten pretty pretty involved in the Rayburn family. Felt like this one was another season premiere with so much unseen things happening between episodes 3 and 4. They mentioned Nolan in episode 4, so hopefully we'll see his return. O'Bannon lives to see another day. As much as I'm enjoying this series, I'm also ready to see it end. 6 episodes to go. I expect things to get nuts. |
Season 3 Episode 5
|
Another episode and no Meg. It's not the same without her. But Nolan's back and apparently hangs out with Janey, and I hope that's all they do. Kevin, Kevin, Kevin. I understand he feels like he owes Roy Gilbert everything but he needs to be more careful. With O'Bannon not going down without a fight now, I'm ready for SOMEONE to finally take the fall or own up to what they did. Even though I've wanted them to get themselves out of their gigantic messes, I don't know how I'd feel if they all got away with murder. |
Season 3 Episode 6
|
John testifies and O'Bannon is screaming "why are you doing this to me, John?". That was intense. I felt bad for him there. Both of them actually, but more O'Bannon. |
Season 3 Episode 7
|
It's nice to see Meg back. I wonder what that nightmare/dream means. Sally testifies and of course, also lies, but pretty much puts the nail in O'Bannon's coffin. The family that lies together...It looks like the trial is over. I hate how happy Kevin was to have gotten away with murder though. 3 episodes is plenty of time for some really bad things to still go down. |
Season 3 Episode 8
|
Oh man. Kevin's going to get caught for the stuff Roy Gilbert got him involved in. And Roy too. If John wasn't going cuckoo before, he is now. What was with that last scene of him drowning? That's not real. I thought for a second that it may have been, until I read the description for the next episode. :P But someone who is definitely dead ? is Ozzy Del Vecchio, but why? What was his whole arc supposed to be about? Did he have some kind of psychic abilities? Nobody was listening to him, so he shot himself in the mouth. That'll get people to notice. I have no idea what's happening anymore, but I'm ready for the end. |
Season 3 Episode 9
|
Okay, I dug that one. What's real and what isn't?!? |

Season 3 Episode 10
|
Drunk Sally is mean! Kevin's troubles finally caught up with him. John tried to confess, but Aguirre either didn't believe him or didn't think he needed to. If this is the end of the series, we're left with John and Nolan standing on the dock about to have a conversation, but which way will it go? I guess we'll never know.
John wanted to own up for what he did. Kevin ran away from what he did. The one who confessed was let off the hook while the one that ran got caught. Irony.
It's funny, this episode had the most lines by Ben, John's son, who would often have no lines in other episodes. Why did they even have him in the show? Oh well. It was nice to see him in the finale anyway.
Meg (or Amy) is living her life away from the family, we only got a glimpse of her going for a run at the start of the episode. Diana and the kids moved away. And Sally tried to sell the inn but she's stuck with it and it may be worthless in 10 years when it could be underwater. It's a kind of fitting end for her character since she cared more about the inn than her own children. |
I'm glad I've reached the end. It was a fun, sometimes slow, ride. I was ready for it to end a while ago. The first season was the best by far, but you needed the second and third to resolve what had happened.

You're the only one who can answer that.
But I watched the other two seasons.

You definitely should. It gets better. It’s one of my all time favorite shows. And Kevin is one of my all time favorite characters. I started out really disliking him but then he won me over with his complete train wreck of a human being.
