Robin - For taking the law into her own hands and bribing a vulnerable and unreliable witness with drugs. What a bitch! The only truly bad person on the list imo

Ameila - Not for stealing the bread, but for trying to dodge the consequences.

Charles - For his complete lack of willpower and inability to refuse the bribe.

Gavin - Ultimately just trying to protect his daughter

Joseph - Technically didn't do nothing wrong, but his inaction is worth criticising. They were starving, what did he expect was going to happen? He should have stolen the bread himself.

Robin is a stone cold asshole. It was a slice of bread- he didn't need to cleave off anyone's hand. Note: He didn't turn the thief to the authorities, but cleaved it himself. Pretty sure Robin just wanted to cut someone's hand off and was willing to believe a druggie in order to get a chance at it.

Charles, who lied his ass off just for drugs, knowing bloodthirsty Robin was gonna cut off the person's hand. After all, if he was gonna lie, he could have said that the town dick that nobody liked did it. Didn't need to bring Joseph into it in the first place.

Amelia for listening to her father. His advice was awful but she didn't have to do it just to save herself a hand.

Joseph- he wasn't providing and knew that she took the bread. He didn't do much until Robin came looking for his blood. If it was gonna be his hand or his wife's, then he could have took it for her. After all, she provided him with food to eat and it sounds like one of them was gonna have to steal or starve anyway.

Gavin- Terrible advice to his daughter, but it's not like he forced anything. She probably thought about it herself anyway.

Hell, we all know Jean Valjean had a heart of gold and wouldn't have stolen bread if his sister's child wasn't close to death. He's just lucky that bishop came along.

The fucked up justice system that allows a hand to be cleaved off, ensuring that the offender will never be able to provide.

LOL- what new facts? Robin was looking to cut someone's hand off; he didn't go to the cops and make it happen, he did it himself. He's a vigilante hand chopper.

There is the original line that I'm using to determine that Robin is a bloodthirsty maniac out to chop off hands.

Robin suspected it was Joseph who stole the bread and bribed the druggie with drugs to confirm that it was him. So she had out for Joseph to begin with. Evil, I say. EVIL!!!!!!!!!

It's not meant to mean Robin took the law into his own hands and cut Amelia's hand off. There's a line about Joseph being sentenced to have his hand cut off because that's the penalty during whenever this time was. It's the same when Amelia is sentenced, Robin isn't just going rogue
