It was a cute little movie. No real depth, but fun and cute. I wonder how long it took to shoot because the main character grew about 6 inches from the beginning of the show to the end.

I started this ... fell asleep about 30min in ... I made my wife watch it with me, so of course she watched the whole thing while I snoozed.

She said, "Good movie, liked it a lot more than I thought"

So guess I give it another attempt.

9/10 Not really my style of movie but I found myself putting down my phone and paying more attention to it. Really liked the hot jams in the movie they were pretty great. My one complaint would be the lack of development in the other band members. The little bass player seemed pretty funny, I wanted more of him. Will definitely watch again with Nicole down the road.

Nicole did not like this movie. Please go smite her.

So just finished. Few notes.

I do not like musicals. Not really musically inclined in general i guess. But i wouldn't really put this movie in that category. Nor did that hurt my enjoyment of it.
I wish i hadn't read dy's assessment, because it does contain my only complaint. I would have liked to see a little more of the other characters. In particular the manager i think could have been awesome. Him explaining the band to the black kid was awesome. But that's minor.

I knew about 10 mintutes in i would like this movie and i wasn't disappointed. The pacing was good, like the characters and acting. Seemed like a story i could really see unfolding.

And yes, Brendan was awesome. Like he knew he was a loser but he was the smartest loser and determined to not let his brother follow him into loserdome. anytime he was on screen it was gold.

I gave it an 8, and i can't make..you know what i'm giving it a 9.

Side note, i am learning through this movie club that my movie habits suck. I try to get on my phone or play my other games and that hurts my enjoyment of the movie. This movie got stretched out because i kept pausing. Prob hurt my overall enjoyment.

I prob should have gone high 7 low 8 but i felt bad for being distracted.

Also another movie in the category of "I never would have watched on my own."

I do that all the time TiB. I pause movies and browse FE or somewhere else or look at my phone. Sometimes it takes me hours to finish single movies. It's all because of my phone really

Great idea. It's just a distraction and makes me dislike movies i'm enjoying. At times i wondered why was this movie so long when in reality it was all me.

I do that, too. It's why I don't like movies with subtitles. I can't look at my phone/play games while I'm watching. :P That's pretty bad.

Also lol'd @ TIB deciding to upgrade from an 8 to a 9 right in the middle of his review. It was like... watching his decision-making live!

Sing street was a movie I wanted to watch a second time. I know Katy wants to see it so maybe this weekend
