Once again, Malcolm vs. Reynold on the "THROW SOMETHING" portion of the challenge

Once again, Malcolm manages to not do it very well, and has to be replaced. It was nice to see them do a full-team challenge so that he actually had to... y'know... DO SOMETHING this time.

I wanted to puke when he got the idol. Let's just hope Andrea's random "let's screw the alliance I just screwed my alliance for" strategy works out well.

This is one of those seasons I've come to terms with enjoying for the "car wreck" effect of it. I genuinely enjoy seeing the "fans" (I say that generously because I doubt a good majority of them know what Survivor is or how it's played) implode themselves. Shamar is terrible but I'm finding myself rooting for him very heavily for that reason. I don't want this man off my television anytime soon, no matter how horribly it affects everyone else's games.

The editing is very strange this time around. Usually when a player is featured prominently out of nowhere, they're the next to go. This is similar to how it is in a television show where people are killed off on a consistent basis (Walking Dead for instance you'll notice this pattern). Guess that's the main reason why I found these last two TC's in particular so surprising. It seems this time around they're content with... not featuring them at all! Oh well.

Editing last season was fantastic with just about everyone sans half of Penner's tribe and Artis getting a good amount of air time and character development. Hope it picks up here. I love Phillip but did we really need two "fluff" segments of him sharing a basketball story and his silly methods of keeping cool in the heat?

I for one love seeing how Phil keeps cool. It was ingenious

I imagine the editing for a FvF season must be tricky. They wanna set aside as much time for each of the fans, but the draw of the season is the favorites. At least they're supposed to be. So they spend a good chunk of time with them because that's what a lot of people wanna see

Sometimes I like uneven editing from season to season, it keeps me guessing a bit more. I expected Semhar to leave both times because he was the focus, but he didn't, and each time it surprised me. It does suck that we don't get to see Allie or Hope's stories much at all, but I'm glad that it hasn't been too predictable

There's always the chance that their stories were really fucking boring up to this point too. I kind of like that they served their purposes as the two girlfriends and then left one after the other
