Lab games don't get that many apps like odds are he's gonna get maybe a couple over his limit. They're too involved, like Lab is a big game and it takes up too much time that a lot of people aren't going to apply for it because of it. Most likely, no one's losing a spot.

like... Lab 3 lasted 3 months
Korr's game lasted like 70 phases or something
his second game wasn't that much shorter. It's not something a lot of people are gonna wanna invest that much time in.

devil's advocate: didn't Lab 4 have like 45 players? I don't see the number of people wanting to play a new one being much lower

The poll I did to gauge interest had 32 votes of interest. I based the number mainly on that. Plus I'm not Paul and definitely am not trying to pretend I am, so I wanted to scale it back a little since I'm including different mechanics and angles.

You forget though how many people apply to and play games but never show. It happens even in our local mafia games all the time.

But, since it's capped, we will definitely make sure we have a dedicated crew.

But everyone likes the idea of Lab and have heard so much about it, so they apply, say 10/10 they will be the best and most active, then get overwhelmed with rl or just not into it and they wasted a spot.

We will cross that bridge if/when we come to it.

Obviously if this is a promise we make and I get more than 25 people voting for me AND every single one of them are interested in playing, then we will both put our very best into the game and likely recruit others who want to help to make sure it runs smoothly.

Wikey and Korr's games had around 25 players for their games, so the estimate is probably not that far off either way.
