I can't keep this in though, I have to post it.

You know what, Vanillite got a ton of crap thrown at it. When viewing in context it wasn't quite that bad. I mean, it kind of even made sense. It wasn't the sort of pokemon that you glare at in bewilderment until you finally get what they're actually doing with it (see: Nosepass, Rotom, etc.)

But it was what it was. Some people said an ice cream should NOT be a pokemon. Other people threw their arms up at Garbodor. Personally, I didn't think Garbodor was that silly. I've defended every design really since the game started. We all know Gen I had it's fair share of silly and questionable poke's (Jynx, Mr. Mime, Farfetch'd). There's a school of thought that each gen has got lazier, and lazier with it's design and I don't subscribe to it at all.

I mean, I didn't. But one of the trainers in the gym just tossed a pokeball and something came out. My first response was to glare in shock. My second response was to laugh out loud. My third was to come right on here and vent. I haven't even attempted to fight it. The game is still in the position of it just being sent out because this is something that just can't wait.

After defending generation after generation of strange pokemon designs, I have only one thing to say.

Don't take this as a knee-jerk fear of anything new. It really isn't. Y'all saw my post about Inkay. He's my nigga. Just done evolved my Litleo and all I can say is wow. Some nice designs there. Don't think much of the fairy types in general, but never did. Even more pissy that they stealth made some monster fairies (Azumarrill for instance. Took me forever to figure out why my attacks weren't landing right). But you know what, it's all fair. I don't want a giant flower or a little sugarplum thing but whatever. Some people probably don't want a floating topsy-turvy squid monster. But NOBODY. I repeat, NOBODY can sit down and say that the pokemon they all craved and needed from a next generation game was a fucking KEYRING AND KEYS. There are limits, Game Freak. There really are. I've let you get away with some questionable and strange shit in the past but you done fucked up and broke the rules this time. Have you no shame? Have you no principles? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND? Game Freak, what happen? Why? Just....why? My heart is so empty and lost right now and I need closure.

Why the fuck is Granbull a fucking fairy type? Look, when you introduced steel types, I didn't stop and question the decision to screw with the magnets. In fact, upon seeing steel type in the game I naturally ASSUMED Magnemite and co. WOULD be steel because look at them...they're made of fucking steel. But why are SOME pokemon now arbitrarily fairies? It plays havoc with my battle plans. I don't UNDERSTAND.

Is the speculation I saw that Klefki is actually carrying around the corpses of its deceased rivals. The other keys being the lesser keys it murdered in jingling cold blood. For a heartbeat of a second, I actually thought this was a real pokedex entry.

Klefki is bad ass. Give it your keys and you'll never lose them cause it's resistant to just about everything but fire and ground attacks.

Also Mewtwo's X Megaevolution disappoints me, it makes my SP. Attack Fighter into an Attack Fighter. That means it's either you are going to train the Mewtwo with Attack EVs and keep the stone all the time or say fuck it and trade for a Y version of the Megastone.

ultimately had to swap it out for Squirtle though. Also added Ralts to the team.
