there are a wide variety of "sugar cookiees" so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. For example, there are those dry xmas "sugar" cookies that aren't sweet at all and rely on frosting on top to make them even palatable, because by themselves they taste pretty boring, in which case they are just a poor delivery device for frosting. But then sugar cookies can go all the way to snickerdoodles, which are fucking amazing.
