The thirteen quickly paired off to explore the mansion in safety. Korr and Vic immediately stepped to the side as Korr continued to lick the blood from his fingers. Rob looked over at Kiwi.

"For the fun of it?" Rob asked.

"For the fun of it." replied Kiwi as he stood next to him.

KC and Natalie each tugged on Shadow's arms, trying to pull him in different directions.

"y r u guys fighting" Shadow yelled before standing beside KC.

"Good." he replied.

Alone, Natalie gravitated towards Bryce who was scratching his werewolf beard.

"Was hoping you would die!" Kiwi said to Bryce with a wink.

Zersch waved Stern Vern over with his prop Leatherface chainsaw.

This left just Perry, Matt, and Lamps.

"I don't /do/ friends." Matt said with some sass.

"Well ok then." replied Perry, as him and Lamps went off together, leaving Matt alone. That was when Curtis re-entered the mansion.

"Well! I see you've all picked your partners in good time. Good good." Curtis looked over at Matt, who stood with his arms crossed.

"Tough luck for you Matt! Seems no one wanted to partner up with you. How does that feel? They don't care about your safety in here. This house has claimed many lives in the past. Wandering around alone throughout it is certain death."

Matt gulped as he quickly realized maybe he should /do/ friends from now on.

"It would be oh so easy to eliminate you from our little game right now..."

"But! Those aren't in Paul's instructions. You will be getting a partner, and you've got your pick of the litter." Curtis began. "Twelve people here, and none of them cared for your safety. Now it's time for a bit of revenge."

Matt looked up with a smile.

"Unfortunately, you have to make an enemy or two whilst doing so. As the odd man out, you may choose any one of your twelve companions to partner with. As for their current partner? Well, they'll be the one forced to walk through this place alone as punishment for leaving you out. And I'm afraid there may be no saving them."

Rules

- Matt must publicly declare a partner in this thread. Whoever he chooses, their current partner will be eliminated from the game.

- Matt, you have until 9 PM today to make your decision. If you don't choose by then, you will be eliminated.

- The rest of you may plead with Matt if you wish.

"Oh, but Matt?" Curtis began. "Being unpicked won't go unpunished."

Matt raised his head curiously.

"Take this chest. When you and your partner go off alone tomorrow, open it."

Matt took the mysterious chest from Curtis. It seemed to hum in his hands. A certain energy could be felt coming from it. Matt set it aside and looked over the other twelve. It was time for him to choose.

"Great." he said.
