I don't remember anything substantial from the first one but thought this was on par with it, I couldn't pick one over the other. I'll forget everything that happened in this one soon too
20 minutes into it and I was already begging for it to end. Not a great sign! I felt absolutely no emotion for 3 straight hours, these are the least exciting/emotionally stirring blockbusters out there imo
Quariduariditch whatever his name is being back for a third movie is so dumb lol. I echo what Boc said, they were the tamest group of villains. Give them some BITE! They talked such a big game but then did nothing. The older son dying from a stray bullet..if you're gonna kill him off then why not have Big Bad like, execute him while he's tied to the ship to force Sully to turn himself in to save the other two? That would be way more emotional/brutal/memorable. Same with when they raided the other village and just burned it instead of killing anyone. Not that I need bloodshed but come on lol, let your villains be villains
Honestly, I was ready for Zoe Saldana's character to die. I love Saldana but my god is that character annoying, all she does is that same overacting shriek cry. One note the entire time, zero personality
Spider was absolutely terrible
Action was uninspiring, nothing particularly interesting or memorable at all. I liked when the Australian villain died, that was about it. Otherwise it was just retreading everything that happened in the first one, weak CGI blob ships crashing over and over. They sure do love the arrow through the windshield into the pilot's chest trick! Never gets old
Can anyone tell me why Kate Winslet had to train for however long in order to break the world record by holding her breath underwater for 7 straight minutes. They keep touting that so I kept looking out for the scene. The only time she went underwater really was when she reunited with her whale and said aw your child is so cute. I think...that was the scene they kept promoting. It was a thirty second bit and it was entirely cgi lol, why did they do that
The visuals looked good but..who cares! Nothing was all that astonishing or creative, nothing too visually interesting or unique. I liked the water land springy nets they walked on, that's it. Episode six of Andor has a two minute bit that will last far longer in audience's heads I'm guessing. Fraction of the price!
I just can't believe how hard he works on these movies and they're still so boring, it's wild. I think he writes the script in one afternoon and then spends 18 years and 60 billion on production. Or he has one of those AI bots write them

Apparently this is probably good since it's always fully booked at theaters. | |
