We did our July 10 a little different. We went on Letterboxd, picked a genre, and either filtered by overall popularity OR highest rating

So we'd take a look at the most popular action movie of all time vs the highest rated action movie of all time. Then we took the top one that we hadn't seen (either the most popular or highest rated)

And this list is what we were left with

Schindlers List and Big Lebowski. Schindler's oddly enough i saw it in class. Def a great movie but one that's hard to rewatch, you know?
But it's been forever so i'm game.
Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

I've seen Big Lebowski, Schlinders List, Inside Out, & Clockwork Orange.

But I don't mind re-watching or going rogue for those few.

So these were either the highest rated or most popular of a genre (that we haven't seen):

Adventure: Lawrence of Arabia
Animation: Grave of the Fireflies
Family: Inside Out
Comedy: The Big Lebowski
Crime: A Clockwork Orange
Drama: Schindler's List
Horror: Diabolique
Music: This Is Spinal Tap
Romance: Before Sunset
Western: Once Upon a Time in the West

You don't have to do the top rated/most popular tho. You can do that or you can do what we did last month and just pick ten movies/ten genres. WHATEVER FLOATS YER BOAT!

Yeah starting fresh with your own lists is good too, no need to base it off mine if you'd rather pick stuff that you personally have been putting off (or the top rated/most popular for you instead of for me). I'd probably go with that since my July list isn't super exciting since they were pretty much picked for me

but if you DO decide to use mine as a guide then make sure you watch Before Sunrise instead of Before Sunset since it came first

I wasn't as big a fan of the Kidman one but i'm finding I'm more a fan of her in general, is that strange?

I was surprised by the quality tbh, I sorta assumed they mostly produced a lot of the PG-13 horror bull throughout the years with the occasional hit. BUT NAW. They've got some good stuff
