Just got my 5th badge (also, I kind of don't like how big that huge city is, I wanted to explore all of it but I said fuck it and gave up). Team: Tyrunt Lv. 41 Lucario Lv. 42 Pidgeot Lv. 44 Chesnaught Lv. 45 Blastoise Lv. 47 Blaziken Lv. 50 I'll probably end up switching Lucario out (I have 3 fighting types in there), and Tyrunt if his evolution isn't as strong as I'm hoping it'll be and probably put a Gible and Bagon in.

I feel like Tyrunt and his evolution remind me of Cranidos/Rampardos in terms of stats, but also just type of Pokemon. It seems to have better defense. I haven't got one yet, though. Might go with the blue dude just to be different.

Tyrantrum's Attack is freaking high, it's only level 45 and it's attack is about the same as my level 54 Blaziken.

and I swapped out my Lucario for a Gible who is a Gabite (38) right now.

Because the end game is where it's at.

I might nuzlocke the game... I'm not sure. I'm worried I'll get fucked by a horde though.

Considering starting over to pick a different starter and a different character model.

I like Chapstick but...

I just wanted to play this first run straight and with all the new Pokemon so I can experience the whole game.

I heard you can get the pokemon your starter was strong against after you beat the Elite Four... also you can catch a starter at the Friend Safari somehow

Hordes are like Half the normal area pokemon level. I use my Blastoise to sweep them. This game is the hardest pokemon game yet.

I don't personally get why people do that, it just seems like such a waste of time and effort and just seems stupid .

I've tried once and it was fricken hard. Then you get to a certain point where you just lose heart and that's usually when you're deep into the game and you lose a strong Poke due to a critical hit and then you have to either lose the spot or train something else up from a lower level. Nuzlocke runs are all about grinding and I HATE grinding to train.

But I feel like people do it just to add something different to the game for them. I'd much prefer to do a type run with my favorite type or a challenging type or just change who i use by constructing a team beforehand and when I run into them, I catch them. But I try not to reuse the same guys every time, though I may reuse a few from time to time if they're just a staple for me.

There are a lot of different types of challenges you could do or even make some up for yourself. I honestly hate Nuzlocke and I think solo runs are boring, but that's my thinking.

It's about adding to the challenge... and it's interesting if you are showing your progress online, via a screencap run or a comic... because it adds to the drama.

I doubt I'll actually do it but I was considering it.

Nah, don't do a nuzlocke if you are doing a completely blind playthrough.

Another thing I miss from the older games is building secret bases. :/
