I actually stopped checking this after I died, but some post-game thoughts from me.

I thought the game was too scumsided. Town had no bussiness winning this ever, I'd even say the ammount of mistakes town made, at least during the day, shouldn't be enough to take the town to a loss, because in a lot of moments they were going in the right direction. I think there were 4 big factors in it, other ones are just swingy mechanics which can end up going either way.

-The fact that this was a multiball set up with a cult makes thing awfully hard for town. Even if you are good at clearing villagers, the moment you are aware there's a cult going on, those clears can go to waste easily because you can't really trust in anyone you've trusted before, even if they were blindly obvious townies.

-Generally speaking, town lynch power is sacred to me. Losing that is usually never a positive game mechanic. I felt bad for town at days 2 and 3 where town collectively lost their lynch power, either because it ended up randomly in the hands of one player, or because scum just took it away.

- Scum having two night kills. Self explanatory.I'd had traded the KP in it's entirely for some more interesting choices for scum to make in the night.

- Josh converting himself to scum. If one scum is worth 3 villagers roughly, then Josh adding himself to our lines is like us getting to kill 3 villagers for free. And the "for free" part is the one that's a big deal, because most of the times, when players use their abilities, they should get /rewarded/ for making good choices and /punished/ for making bad ones. But we got a big reward without us doing anything, we basically hit the jackpot without buying the lottery ticket, lol.

Sorry if this comes as somewhat pedantic or whatever, I think of myself as a host first and a player second, and I really enjoy talking and giving my input about game balance/design. I think Boc did a fine job hosting and I thank him for the game.

When it comes to the actual game, I enjoyed playing scum for a change. Thanks/congrats to my team for winning this, in particular to Seb/Josh who both had really solid performances and were a pleasure to work with. Sorry if I slacked, I figured that I couldn't really affect the outcomes of any lynches and with 2kp per night and so many scum members losing would've been hard.

Idk if I would play another game here (my guess is yes but not for some time), there are some stuff I don't really enjoy playing with (Alignment changes, third parties such as SK's or cults, too much kp, swingy stuff in general, etc.) but I think I'd really enjoy hosting here sometime, there has been some stuff done in our forums that you would really enjoy.

I was blocked last night

Huh. This is interesting

In which person did you originally use your action?

Yeah forgot about the Jackie stuff on the mimic. You are right, switch her and Josh on my readlist fwiw.

JJ @ 5/7/2018 23:44
I don't want to quote again but Badger is very utr when he's scum. That being said, he usually shows up at least so idk what's going on with him.

utr?

read list, no particular order:

super town
6. DR from TV

town
1. Curt
20. Buffy
23. Jackie
24. SilverKeith
14. Christian

Eh
2. Josh
3. Ahoda
11. Merc
17. Vladish

Scummy
8. im317
10. Nav/Seb
19. Badger

Eh. I don't dislike this list. Only questionable thing is Badger being scummy. Like, I don't think he has been particularly townie but if dissapearing from thread were from sure a scumside then Fenrir would have flipped red and I don't want to repeat that. Also disagree on Curt and Seb but meta reads I guess?

What's Badger meta like? Is he known for afking as both alignments or tends to do it more often as one in particular?

im317 is the scum in the scum pile

case closed

K. Let's say he is.

Who are the others then? I'm pretty sure that either scum is willing to vote for 317 here if they aren't already.

What puts Josh in your CLEAN PILE?

Why isn't Jackie in your CLEAN PILE?

I'm soulreading Josh as town since D1 and have stated this and my reasons over it several times. In general, willingness to solve the game, easygoing with thread, I like where his reads stands etc.. Even then, I think he might have been culted. If I'm being honest yeah he's more leaning to the semiclean pile but I wanted to put 3 people onto each lol.

Because I've disliked Jackie participation and I'm wary of clearing someone just based on night actions. What actions has Jackie claimed to have done every night? Sorry if I missed this I think I remember her talking about this lol.

317 action on TIB makes sense from the standpoint of "Knowing" there's an SK and that SK possibly wanting to kill TIB to reduce town numbers.

Thing is, up until today I'd had say there wasn't any SK (aside from me, lol). I think it mostly shows today over the number of kills.

And even then, that action also makes sense from a scum standpoint of wanting to get rid of a possible SK.

K so there are 13 people alive. 12 if you don't count me.

I am not taking people who might have been culted into account but I think we should set on something regarding that matter today. Also not taking into account a possible SK since that would be harder to fit from a reasoning perspective.

CLEAN PILE: There's at most 1 scum here, but possibly 0. Never 2.
JJ-Josh-Christian.

SEMI CLEAN PILE: Possibly one scum. People that have been townie in some sense but due to shenanigans they might be wolfing.
Vladi - Jackie - Seb

QUESTIONABLE PILE: Likely one scum here if not more. People who I've had trouble sorting for X or Z reasons
Merc - Curtis - Badger

SCUM PILE: Have shown scumtraits, or almost nothing to lead me to believe in them being townie, If there isn't scum on this pile I'm retiring.
Ahoda - DR - 317

It depends on the host but usually, if mafia has an action, they can either be sent for the kill or use their action. This is a different kind of game, though, with some unique roles... so idk if that would be the case. I'm still kind of thinking he could either use his action or go for the kill, though.

Also, I was thinking maybe TIB was blocked and thought I couldn't track him? Or maybe he just answered under pressure without thinking about it. idk...

Huh. If that's how it is on this site it seems reasonable it's kept the same way for the sake of consistency.

TIB being blocked seems reasonable but why wouldn't he claim it? This smells purple.

so SK, am I lying? :P

I don't know I was bluffing. I was kinda hoping you admiting to kill TIB and thus being a SK tbh.

JJ @ 5/7/2018 23:04
SK, you said you think you affected my results and I obviously don't want you to reveal what you're not comfortable revealing, but do you think that was a one time thing?

This just in: I don't know how my actions works. I'm acting blindly. I said it MIGHT have affected you, but I don't actually know. It was just an hypothesis, thought it would maybe make sense with the nature of my object. It still might hold value or it might be me fucking up.

TIB still was scum but I wouldn't be so sure he watched Curtis. If he did, then why the fuck did he lie about it?

I get it - that's why I started doubting my results. I was wondering why TIB would lie about it. BUT, the fact he was mafia and he had that action makes me believe he flat out lied because why would he not use it? Unless, he was sent for the kill N1 instead. But even then, he wouldn't have stayed home so since he knew I was tracker, idk why he lied like that.

That said, I did not get a Curtis result last night.

Huhhh... I don't get the " he was sent for the kill n1 instead". Isn't the scumkill separated from scum individual actions/roles?

I think the only reason he'd have to lie is to protect Curtis over an association read but that is ¿¿¿??? because he got fucking killed lol.

Don't tell me what you got last night unless you think is relevant. Otherwise you might catch someone lying. I wanna know if Jackie has something to say today btw.

I'm inclined to believe 317 role. His role still doesn't make him town.

I'm on the Christian town boat still. I mean I was before just wanted to make sure and the bluff was whatever

In any case not dying at night seems like 3p but ¿¿?? nothing to do about it. Worry about Christian in an f5/f3 or something
