The mod never confirmed Penner as town. Penner said he visited Christian N1 and people believed it. He could have just as easily been lying.

between Ahoda getting himself and Herm killed and Mal leaving the game us pirates were in a bad spot. throw in Curtis being the one to get the lyncher role and it only got dug deeper. still we made plenty of mistakes on our own between lynching town over and over and Josh being day killed.


Ahoda and Herm finding each other would have unlocked lots of good info for town so yeah losing on that hurt Town a lot

Penner visited Christian on N1 and on N1 Penner was still town so Christian joined town. Even if Penner hadn't visited Christian, Christian would have converted to town by 317's visit

Incidentally, Mafia were thinking of killing Christian N1. Had this happened, Christian would have joined the Mafia instead along with Penner on N1. And 317 would have gotten the PM of Christian joining Mafia. That would have been a hilarious result and it looked like a real possibility for a bit but alas.

I tend to skew too much in favor of Mafia when I'm hosting because of how easy it seems for town to just claim and win on FE in general. But in this case the mechanics favored mafia entirely way too much so town really had little to no shot overall. I'd say overall the only "bad" decision was made by the Soldiers (Jen/Christian) to kill Josh instead of spin but being that they didn't exactly need to win with Town it's not a huge mark against them.

Some controversial decisions I made during the course of the game:

Night 2 - Penner was recruited by Mittens on the same night when Penner was joining the Mafia team by visiting spin. Since recruitment went first I allowed Mittens' action to go through. The safe and more likely "correct" thing to do would have been to end it there and nulling Penner's addition to Mafia but since it happened in the same night I decided to let Penner join both forums - Cult and Mafia because it suited the lore really well that Sao Feng would have conflicting allegiances and would look out for himself. I don't regret this choice a whole lot because it was such a huge coincidence that both things happened in the same night.

Including Mittens on the Calypso rng list - Even though Mittens wasn't town he was still a "Pirate" and thats why he was eligible to be killed by Calypso. I really hated writing Mittens' death because of how much I was looking forward to see Cult v/s Mafia play out with Penner acting as a go-between.

Overall this was really not a good setup balance wise and town just had no shot whatsoever which is not in the spirit of the game so I won't likely host for a while. I did personally enjoy watching the chaos unfold but from a player's perspective it just could not have been fun. Oh well. Thank you everyone who made the mistake of signing up and being my guinea pigs.

The death of Angelica was the last straw. There was no one left to lead the pirates after both their Captain and Jr Captain had succumbed to the sea. The pirates had a sense of dread approaching them. They weren't certain they would make it through the night. As they held on, not so much for dear life but for a quick and painless death, the eerie whistle of the armada blew. And it was is if death itself was blowing her horn.

The armada of the East India Trading Co had proven to be too overwhelming for the pirates to overcome. Without Jack, without the Black pearl and without being able to unify, they had been washed away by the might of Lord Cutler Beckett. he EITC showed mercy to the surviving Soldier and brought them back into the fold.

The East India Trading Co. have achieved their win condition. Mafia has won the game.

The Pirates fought as hard as they could to get themselves to the promised land of the Fountain. After enduring so many devastating losses, this was their final hope. A hope that seemed to be slowly withering away. Dissent reigned supreme throughout their journey. After a long drawn out debate, the focus shifted towards Angelica whom most blamed to be the reason for the death of their beloved captain. And Angelica was thrown overboard ...
