Heartbreaking vote - Billy blindsided.

Will Rob, Kurtis, Mike be able to recover? Can Vecher overcome this losing streak?

Scavenger hunt incoming so it's honestly anyone's to lose, we have a lot of really dedicated players and it's over the weekend so who knows who will put in the effort.

every member of Vecher is on alliance calls, but split in the middle

mike/rob/kurtis on one
adrianne/alex/jay/dustin on the other

hoping they win immunity so this tension builds

Fully expected Alex to be the boot prior to today. It’s heartbreaking for Billy to go out not only this early, but also in such a gut-wrenching blindside. He was killing the social game & it’s a shame we won’t be able to see him develop this season.

Recap of a call that happened just now

First it's just Rob/Dustin/Adrianne on call. Adrianne was mostly silent, Dustin and Rob had a bit of back and forth going on. Rob was notably upset despite saying he is not upset. Dustin was explaining his insecurities about their group (them+ Kurtis and Billy) after Blinding Light was given to Mike, and then gave his explanation that he had put in a lot of effort to try and show his trust in this group only to find out they distrust him and were going to put votes on him. Rob stated that they had felt unsure they could trust him after the Anders vote and wanted to flush an idol that they believed either Dustin or Alex had. Dustin said something (I wish I could remember what) that prompted Rob to say "we would've been having this same conversation with Jay then" to which Dustin pointed out that shouldn't matter because Jay wasn't in their group. It kind of sounded like a bit of a battle to identify who wronged the other in the group, and led to them asking each other the question "where do we go from here?" Rob was also mad that they took out Billy, a strong competitor in challenges, over someone like Alex who is a weaker link on the tribe.

Kurtis then joins, explains that Mike got immunity because there was a group with everyone except Alex and Dustin in it and Mike simply hadn't had it yet, and then nonchalantly says he thought the vote was between Dustin and Alex. Adrianne then chimed in explaining her worry that led her to switch things up was the worry stemming from being attached to Michael's behaviour and him getting immunity.

After a bit of speculation about the challenge, talk shifted to how they can at least agree that Billy and Anders were more challenge-worthy to keep around than Alex and Mike. They've also correctly guessed that Mike is the only one who would receive an idol clue this round.




My Thots on this call:

I think Rob could've approached this better, he was noticeably unhappy at the start of the call and behaving in that way automatically puts people on the defensive. Dustin handled it well and he is correct, he trusted this group and they were ready to send him packing. Adrianne's position doesn't seem to have been damaged, Kurtis came across unapologetic but was very prepared to own his vote.

I don’t understand Kurtis’ new confessional at all.

He doesn’t understand why people are playing so hard and going for those who are active...yet he was one of the people who STRONGLY wanted Anders to go at their first vote. He’s still going to get his way with Jay/Alex most likely flipping at their next vote to take out Dustin/Adrianne, but idk man. I still don’t even get Jay/Alex flipping at that point either.

I think the safest bet is for Jay/Alex/Adrianne/Dustin sticking together to take out a common enemy, Michael. Then if Jay/Alex want to make a move against Dustin, they can.

Regardless, I actually think Vecher could win the scavenger hunt. Now that Billy went, I think everyone will be on edge and want to try to be 100% safe. On Utren, they all want to go to tribal. So I can see them not wanting to go hard for the win. But who knows!

[11:28:47 AM] Michael Allbright: So maybe they are game for still flushing it and breaking Alex and Dustin up. Adrianne can then be his only number 1. Illustrate to Jay his value and how they perceive him as a threat.

Seems like they're at least on to Adrianne and if this trend of taking out the big players continues, I could see her going soon

Mhmm. Taking out Anders first 100% set the precedent of taking out people who are long-term threats to whoevers' games. Kurtis' instinct to take out Anders was good, given Anders was thinking about breaking up Kurtis/Billy/Rob at some point, but it was too soon...and just taking the time to just strengthen the relationship with Anders for at least the pre-merge portion of this game could have been super beneficial.

And I think when you're a smart strategic player, it's easy to see the game like CHESS and focus on what'll happen if this or that piece gets taken out--but this isn't chess at all. People are going to play off emotion and paranoia.

Going down the line taking out Mike, then Alex, then whoever would have probably been better for everyone. Alas...
At the same time, I think people on Vecher are really concerned with scooping up the players who aren't super connected and were originally on the bottom--Kurtis with Mike, Anders (and now Jay) with Alex?, Adrianne with Jay?--which I think might be looking too far down the line.

I'm still very confused why Adrianne did this. Was it strictly out of paranoia?

Alright scavenger hunt is officially underway. More videos than ever. Get ready for some HOPEFULLY funny moments. I'm hoping for a Utren loss here just to keep it interesting.

It'll be interesting to see who Jay gives immunity to, i'd presume Adrianne but maybe he'll want to strengthen a bond with Alex or Dustin? who knows.

Joey getting it again is a little predictable so I'm ready for a shakeup on Utren.
