I'll probs do a first impressions/cast assessment typa thing later but for now I just wanna talk about Candice
Firstly, she claims to be from Europe and that this is her first ORG. Yeahhhhhhh no. Not buyin it. THEN she said a short sad story abt her sister's son. Sorry but not buying that either :X THAT BEING SAID. She is easily the best chat I have had so far. I legit don't wanna log off AIM bc of her. There are a FEW awkward transitions between small talk to game talk. But it's not egregious in any way. I am making the same mistake I always make of falling for a ~girl~ But I can't help it. She is SO GOOD. She also exhibits some of the more classic overplayer traits like IMing a lot of people right off the bat, subtly fishing for info, comparing notes about other players in the game etc. And that bodes well for me bc I need a fellow overplayer to balance out my overplaying. So it looks like for now Candice will be my #1. She seems to be very wary of JoAnna for being a pro-gamebot. Which I agree with. Joanna gives off MAJOR Wesley (Lilliana from BattleField 1) vibes. Candice and I just CLICK (at least on my end) so for now I am enjoying chatting with her a whole lot. | | |

SORRY for slacking in confessionals. I'll have one written up today. Maybe a video.
Quick and dirty update is I am iffy on the tribe I ended up in. I have WAY better connections on the Gold tribe with Ib, BobDawg and Daugherty.
Over here my favorites, in order, are Candice, Jenn, Nick, Tina. Everyone else is on the same level pretty much.
the good thing tho is that I am more than happy to vote out some of the bitches from my tribe :D | | |

I am on the Chikorita tribe! :D Love the tribe name a LOT.
So a few things about the tribe pick. Daugherty has been pretty great to chat with so him being picked early isn't surprising. Same with BobDawg. Debbie and Jerry I guess were the big surprised for me. But Debbie at least has a super quirky persona. Jerry - ehhhhhh. I dunno. Nothing special as far as I could tell but maybe he connected super well with Nick.
Before the tribe pick started when Ib had gotten his flag he had said he would be "angling for me". I took that as a good sign and would have liked being with him (SIDENOTE: I am 99.9% sure that Ib is JP i.e. Sean from Twisted) But then after 2 picks Nick IMed me and said "hey do you wanna be on my tribe" I hesitated for a minute which I am sure he noticed. I was tempted to say "Ib kinda said he'd pick me" and I typed it in the reply box but then backspaced and said "yeah I'd be down" I THINK I can work with Nick at least short term on this tribe. So I wasn't TOO torn up about it. Having Candice here helps too. I was getting nervous when Nick hadn't picked Candice yet considering Candice had raved about him earlier to me. Nick then asked if I had any suggestions about people to pick. I recommended Tina first and then Shane. Tina later said she appreciated it a lot. All in all this tribe is manageable for me.
I will definitely be taking advantage of the cross-tribal communication though and keep up chats with Ib, Daugherty, BobDawg. Joanna is another option but I am not too concerned about that particular bond atm. If I play it right I can set myself up in people's good books for the swap. But I have to consciously try and not talk about game stuff. Kepe it light hearted and casual.
There's no alliance updates yet. That's not necessarily a bad thing for me. I want to take it slow. I don't see myself being first boot on this tribe. Ideally I get pulled into some sort of a majority with Nick and Candice. Those are the only two I am actively hoping will approach me. I can take or leave the rest. | | |

I STARTED RECORDING A VIDEO IN MY CAR BUT IT CUT OUT B4 I COULD FINISH. I am so annoyedddd.
So we lost >:( Not totally unexpected but it still stings. I liked our idea but the execution was super flawed. So now we gots to go to TC.
On the surface this looks like an easy vote. Joe isn't around much. Hasn't spoken with people. SHOULD be a unanimous boot once we can all get past the song and dance of talking about TC/votes/alliances for the first time. And that's the vibe I got last night. I had brief voting talks with Tina, Jerry, Jenn, Shane. That was besides the first alliance that I got invited to which includes Nick and Fabio. Everyone seemed pretty apathetic towards Joe and on board to vote him out. I figured it was well and good. Joe didn't even try talking to me. Makes it easier for me :D
But then Candice comes online today and is a handful. She is sooooo paranoid about so many things. Firstly she saus she doesn't wanna vote Joe bc she talks to him more than Jerry. This came as a surprise bc Jerry is pretty active. Then she says contradicting stuff like "we shouldn't campaign this week" "I am worried that we only have safety for a few weeks if we keep losing immunity". IDK she feels like she will become a target for elimination soon on this tribe. But I don't see that happening. She is pretty well liked. While I was on my way to work, she talked to Fabio who apparently told her he was on board for a Jerry or a Shane vote. This sent up red flags for me bc Fabio had mentioned he prefers a Joe vote in the alliance chat w/ Nick and I. So I need to follow up w/ Fabio about what he REALLY wants. I would personally prefer a Joe vote bc he never talks to me. But I like Candice a lot so I am not opposed to siding w/ her.
While this is happening, Coach IMs me after a few days of no chats and we start talking. At first it's just casual catching up abt IRL stuff. Then he starts fishing for info abt this tribe. Not subtly. He straight up asks "Are you in any alliances". lol. He did say that this is his first game. Bless newbies tbh. I wish I cud go back to being a newbie. I dance around a lot of stuff w/ him but I tell him that the vote is looking like Joe. I don't think it's all that useful to hide such an easy vote. A little while later, Candice mentions that "EVERYONE" on the other tribe knows the vote here is for Joe and that's making her paranoid. She also says Coach asked her who is her closest ally here and she didn't say Misty. An amusing series of events for me tbh. Good to know tho that I can count on Candice's discretion down the line.
So back to Candice, she thinks it's possible to turn the vote onto Shane now. Candice/Joe/Fabio/Misty and one more. She wants to ask Tina/Jenn about it. Tina just came online and they are talking right now. I don't THINK it's gonna work but I am gonna try to make sure Candice feels like I am on her side. Which I am. I don't think Candice is in any real danger anytime soon unless she overplays a LOT. And I'll do my best to help her keep it under check.
I think that's it. I'll update if anything changes but the vote should be for Joe. Candice said she might not vote Joe and throw a vote on someone random. That's not IDEAL so I'll try to talk her out of it but we'll see. | | |

Candice just voted for Shane and went to bed u_u
On one hand it's pretty great to find someone who overplays more than me. That always impresses me and really endears me to that person lol. But on the other, I don't wanna go down with that ship. Candice thinks it'll be Candice/Fabio/Misty/Tina on Shane, Joe on either Shane or Jerry, Jerry/Nick/Jenn/Shane on Joe. So either 5-4 Shane leaves or 4-4-1 and Shane leaves on a revote. But IDT Fabio is being honest w/ her and I KNOW Tina isn't :x LOL. I'm gonna have to comfort her after results and try to mitigate the damage done by her stray vote on Shane.
Meanwhile, talking to Coach a lot today and he seems like such a fun guy. Hopefully I can build up a connection w/ him. Working on it at the moment. | | |

I recorded another video but it was SUUUUPER boring lol.
The vote went through as expected. 7 of us voted Joe with little to no fuss. Joe voted Jerry bc they never talked. Candice voted Shane. I tried to talk Candice out of it but I failed. Candice believed that Fabio and/or Tina were on board to vote for Shane. I knew none of them were but I couldn't outright tell this to Candice. She seems upset atm but IDT it's at ME specifically. She also seems worried that it'll be her going next. I am trying my best to keep her calm but I myself don't REALLY know what will happen if we lose again.
The only "alliance" I have atm is w/ Nick and Fabio. Tina has told me straight up she wants to work with me. And I believe Candice won't vote against me. #s wise that's enough people who won't vote for me so I'll stick around. Jenn and I have decent chats in late night to where I think she will at least try and include me in her voting plans. My bonds with Jerry and Shane are a WIP but it's progressing ok imo. That being said, I personally don't have real SWAY in who does end up going home. Gotta keep calm though. I don't want to overplay. | | |
