I just listened to the podcast.
The unethical/ethical bullshit is stupid. It's just an emotional reaction to what people think Survivor/a juror should be. If it's not blatantly in the rules it doesn't matter. I think its naive and frankly insane and naive to think that this doesn't happen at Ponderosa in the actual show. Isn't that what happened on Bob's (Gabon) season? It's not like there is some incentive for them to "group up".
From Brice's perspective Rodney played 100% the best game. There is no other option, nobody else played a better game in his eyes. It's not wrong or right, it's just what he thinks. Sure, it could be emotional, biased, whatever. If he wants to preach and campaign I think that's fine, if the juror agrees that rodney played the best game they will vote for him. They can easily just not listen to his bullshit and vote for Monica. Why wouldn't he be "bitter" after all, Monica essentially told him to fuck off and Rodney was one of his bros plus he sees him as a strategic force now.
Put yourself in his shoes? You were last juror, if you made it to the end you had a very good shot of winning. Now you're looking at 2 of your alliance members since the beginning, one probably doesn't have a shot to win, and this challenge beast that essentially told your alliance to fuck off. I can't say I've been the biggest Brice fan this game, but I totally understand where he is coming from.
I think this is more a symptom of an F3, if it was an f2 the private campaigning would be pointless, since obviously he can only vote one and not the other. Nobody wants to throw their vote away in a f3 usually. | |
