As you visualise the number in your head the world begins to shift. You feel yourself floating out of the room. Your mind's eye wanders and hovers over you and the other inhabitants. Slowly it drifts away...somewhere into darkness.

It comes to rest with a blur on another place. Nobody is currently occupying it, but you can see the contents clearly. You scan it, taking it all in.

There's a long hallway. It's about twice as long as the room you're currently standing in but the same width across. The room is dark and foreboding. A series of minotaur statues like the ones in the current room adorn the walls but set into the open, snarling mouths of some of them is a grating of sorts. The statues are also sheer black.

Your mind's eyes follows the room from the base to the end and notices that at the Northernmost point of the corridor there is a doorway leading into the North. At the Southernmost point there is a doorway leading off to the West.

Finally, your mind's eyes returns back to your current group. You steadily re-orientate yourself.

Huge error, lesson learned early. Will now edit each phase number out as we enter the rooms.

As you visualize the numbers dancing through your head, you get a hit rather early into your list. A rather familiar room comes into view within your mind's eye.

It is the room you exited from the previous day, the details of which are still fresh in your mind. It is as you left it.

Your mind's eye drifts once more. There seems to be more scope and freedom for it to move through. You concentrate though and an image of a room becomes clear. Nobody is occupying it.

The room is covered with concrete. On the ceiling there is a shaft which descends. It has a sealed hatch at the bottom. Underfoot is some kind of a pressure slab. A black shape adorns the wall at the top of the room. The concrete is cracked and chipped in places.

You focus on the passages. There are two entrances to this room. One is set in the Eastern wall, one in the Western wall.

Finally your mind's eye returns and you arrive back in the present.

Drifting your attention away from the group, you once again seek something out. Your eyes scout to another room and things are hazy.

The room you see is full of complicated machinery. There are consoles, buttons and devices all over. Overhead is a large screen. The image on the screen is displaying a sort of radar system. The word "breach" is flashing on top of it with a dot.

There are the remains of what may have once been shades scattered across the floor. They're torn to pieces. There's something big and threatening in the middle of the room but you can't see it clearly.

There are two exits, one to the North and one to the South. On the Eastern wall is a track leading into a sealed gate. A red light is visible on the gate. The gate is encircled with a green ring.

You arrive back to where you started with a flash.

Your mind fades back again to the breach room. Everything is still there unchanged but the large and disturbing black shape is gone completely. The screen is still flashing breach, but the display is a little different.

You set your mind's eye on course, gazing into the aether to take a peek at wherever the deployed payload had landed. After a moment your intense focus lifts as the image of a room is birthed into your mind.

It is of a standard size, with exits to the East and West. Situated into the floor in front of both entrances were familiar pressure plates. In the center of the room is a large piece of equipment bolted on a swivel. Underneath the bulk of the sleek machinery were two mounted cylindrical tanks that fed up to a small ignition nozzle in front of the imposing construct's barrel.

Off to the side of foreboding machinery was a steel supply crate that rested unopened and upended on the ground. The balcony of Willis' tower overlooks the room from the North.

The image of the room begins to shimmer and fade, disappearing completely.

"There was nothing to be see-" you began to repeat to yourself as you felt your head tingle. This wasn't supposed to happen, there were more numbers to guess! But as you felt your third eye open and begin peering around an unfamiliar room, you decided the rest of the numbers could wait.

The room was of standard size, with exits to the North and South. The room itself wasn't very spectacular or breathtaking, but of note were two familiar pressure plates fixed in front of each entrance.

Overhead there was a sizable blade with an edge fine enough to slice through stone. It dangled precariously overhead, restrained by something unseen and certainly flimsy. It looked dangerously close to falling and cutting through whatever was underneath it like hot butter.

You shivered at the thought, and it was enough to break your concentration. The image of the room faded from your mind.

Your mind's eye drifts away once again to a distant place. You've been to this place before but it's very different now. As you focus in you take all the surroundings in carefully. The room is very wide, about twice the width of a standard room. There are doors leading to the North on the Eastern side as well as an Eastern exit. There is also a Southern exit on the Western side.

The room layout is very cave-like. It's not as dark as the room you're currently in. It feels more open. Overhead there is an enormous stalagmite which cascades down above the rocky floor. There's a geyser slowly bubbling on the ground nearby but it's sealed off by more rubble.

Your vision slowly returns and you find yourself back where you were.

A hero is no braver than an ordinary man,
but he is brave five minutes longer.

You methodically make your way down the list of numbers, checking them off fifty by fifty while leaving dead results in your wake. You were ready to write off the current chunk when your head began to tingle. Your third eye had discovered something, and was eager to share its findings with you.

You close your eyes and come to in a very large, spacious room. From North to South it was the size of three standard rooms. Jutting to the West of the middle section of the room was another standard sized room. There were three exits, one to the North, South, and one to the West. Held aloft by chains trailing to a strange mechanism was a large steel cage. It looked a sight bit sturdier than the typical run of the mill Labyrinth bird cages.

You made sure to take note of it as the image ripples and disappears from your mind.

(Just to reiterate, this is a room in the Future, while 1083 was a room from the Past.)

A hero is no braver than an ordinary man,
but he is brave five minutes longer.
