Tyrese climbed on board the shuttle and seated himself comfortably, pressing the launch button when he was ready. He didn't expect it to be a gentle ride and his expectations were perfectly in check. It jolted him around every which way as it bounded at break-neck speed through the underground. But his training had put him in good stead. He wasn't afraid or too disturbed by it.

When it finally stopped, he felt himself lurch forward. He climbed out unsteadily and got to his feet. The metal door the shuttle had come through seemed to be on the Northern side of a standard sized room. There were exits to the East and West. It was quite hard to make out the finer details in the gloom.

Near to where he'd landed, on the Northern side was a small alcove. He stepped over to it cautiously and reached inside. There was something cold and metal in there that made him jolt backwards. Whatever it was felt big and threatening. He decided that it might not be best to pry. He took a few steps backwards instead.

It was hard to see but there was a faded chalk message scrawled on one of the walls too. It read "10 W". He took a deep breath and prepared to wait in silence.

And then he heard the howls. Three of them, echoing out one after the other and cutting right into his core. They were horrible, bloodthirsty noises that reacted with his senses on a primal level and instinctively made him want to flee. They sounded like death.

The howling wasn't too close, but it was within earshot. It seemed to be coming from the South-West.

It is now Phase 70. Phase 70 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
