Mixing wasn't too tough, but Tyrese was still glad to see the back of the chemicals. It felt like he'd been in this place for far too long. Maybe in another life he would've been a scientist but right now he had to finish living this one. He headed for the South and pushed the door release.

The room beyond was twice the length of a standard room from North to South. The Stone canal ran from just next to where the Northern exit was and curved Eastwards, flowing into a solid stone wall. There was a small set of iron bars where the canal moved through the wall at the North, but on the Eastern side there was nothing.

The wall on that side was different somehow too. It was very cracked and worn. Most of the walls in this era were metal, so it was quite a striking difference. He crept over to it and gave it a firm shove in the hopes of shifting it slightly. Nothing particularly interesting happened. It was weak and crumbling but it would take more than a few choice shoves to shift it.

He turned his attention back to the rest of the room. It was quite sparsely decorated, with a low overhanging light giving it all a very faint glow. There was a door to the very South but it was locked tightly shut. As he looked around he saw the metal door open on the Southern side. It was set into the Eastern wall and it had a small red light on it with a black ring painted around the door. The light turned green as he watched.

When the door opened, a shuttle bounded up out of the door and came to a screeching halt. Not far from where it had stopped was a computer on a desk in the middle of the room. It was an ancient looking terminal with a keyboard and a wooden chair. Not exactly comfortable conditions but it was somewhere to sit that wasn't a metal or stone floor. He gladly accepted it.

The screen in front of him was flashing with a message. It said, "Enter target room".

It is now Phase 69. Phase 69 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

The computer display changed as Tyrese looked on. It read:

Nearest target, 3S.

Would you like to activate?
Y/N"

The terminal flashed, waiting for Tyrese to input yes or no.

Yes

Tyrese tapped the key curiously and watched the screen flicker and change.

"Target activated. 9682.
System going into offline mode..."

And with that, the screen turned black.
