Walton stepped out of the Eastern door into a strange shaped room. To his South, the room extended for twice the length of a standard room, but to his West it also extended twice the width of a standard room. As he stepped out onto the rocky floor, he felt incredibly exposed.
A number of stalactites hung from the ceiling overhead. This entire chamber was like the inside of a cave. A small chunk of stone broke free from up above and just narrowly missed the place he was standing. Creeping cautiously across the floor, Walton looked over to the far West at the end of the corridor. There was an exit to the North and West over there. He then looked to the far South where there was another exit.
And braced himself as it slid open. Behind him the others were gathering, also wary of the open doorway to the South. The ground shook as they stood by and another small chunk of rock broke free from up above.
"Ow." Came a familiar voice.
Mark stood at the South, rubbing his head miserably. His brain caught up, suddenly.
"It's you guys!"
Airlea, Kristoff, Eleanor and the General came through behind him. Andrael smiled at them gently.
"It is good to see you here safely." He said.
At that moment the floor rumbled again. Kristoff almost lost his balance.
"What is that?" He asked nervously.
Overhead the rocks were shifting. A much larger one than the small pieces that had fallen so far was set to break loose. Boone glanced up and back across to the others.
"Run!" He shouted as the ceiling shifted once more.
It is now Phase 61. Phase 61 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
Objectives: Players must post to dodge the rocks. This is done by posting ##Dodge: Rock on the hour. It must be posted when the board clock shows the minutes as :00 for it to count. Each hour, the first player to correctly post their action will successfully avoid the rocks and be considered "free". This will only happen to the first player each hour.
A player who is "free" may choose to push a player who isn't out of the way on each subsequent hour. This is done by posting ##Move: Player Name. For instance, if Player A posted at 12:00 to dodge and was the first player to do so, Player A can then post to push Player B aside at 1:00. A player who is successfully pushed in this way will also become free.
At the end of the phase, the last player to be freed will be crushed by a rock. If more than one player remains un-freed, the victim will be selected at random from those who are still trapped.

Well, a few phases ago it hurt pretty bad. It was a pain I've never felt before, and I think it was because of my baby's speeding development...we also had a long conversation about the different possibilities.
Head Knight Mark @ 1/6/2013 23:12
Well this is a nifty game, how are we going to decide this one.

I guess we might not want to wait in here for Urk after all... >_>

hello! i was right about this roOom being 3620! :goodtimes:
the future version of 3620 has an upper level. this is based on airleas old check of it. i do not know if we can climb to it from 3620 in the future.
but. we should go to the future. virgil and the other guardian are both close. i believe the way to climb up to virgil is around here in the future. and then connects to the west balcony in 9880.
if we split. our group can go for that. and the other group could go for the other guardian a few roOoms away?
*shrugs*
whatever wee fEEel is best! :goodtimes:

Can't we just portal out of here with the fucking staff?
This room does have the platform. It says there seems to be no obvious means of climbing up there. It says that it leads off from the north wall, but only describes an exit to the east.

I guess the staff could be used but omg if I stayed up all night for nothing.
Except somebody is definitely going to die if we don't.
Why lose anyone when we are planning to go to the future anyway.
Head Knight Mark @ 2/6/2013 10:40
I don't think that would work Eleanor. The people still left would probably be randomized and hit on our way through the portal.
The staff protects us from traps on the other side
Head Knight Mark @ 2/6/2013 10:42
Also Airlea, I used the drawing, I'm not sure if it was a positive on whether but I figured it best.

I think it's worth trying when we only have one person left. Either they'll get hit like we expect them to or we'll all be safe.
Helm @ 2/6/2013 12:12
wouldn't the challenge just reset if we don't take it and urk will hit it?

Boone and Helm are also safe, unless I'm only allowed to push one other person.
A hero is no braver than an ordinary man,
but he is brave five minutes longer.
Are we all teleporting then? Because if I'm with the group heading SW I would just as soon have Kristoff check some exits and head that direction in the past, then teleport once we believe we have reached the parallel. Also, we could wait here a phase and Urk could join us. If the last person follows the person with the staff it may work to avoid losing someone? Just an idea. But if we are splitting here we need to get follows in place and items changed if needed.

wouldn't the challenge just reset if we don't take it and urk will hit it?
Hopefully it requires multiple participants.

Marek @ 2/6/2013 15:19
Thanks for pushing me to safety maria!
I dont see why using the staff wouldn't work. The challenge ends when the phase ends. If we aren't in the room at that point, wouldn'f we be safe? However, i do think it's best to wait until theres only one left as well, just in case.
Empress Rita @ 2/6/2013 15:30
There's only one left now (Walton), so if we're doing this, we should get our follows in and go for it.

Don't use it yet, Brie.
Boone @ 2/6/2013 18:25
should we simplY wait here a phase?
i would not expect it to reset. when urk comes
we may want urk with us when we enter the future as well
Eleanor @ 2/6/2013 18:28
I am confident that this rock shit would not work on one person.
We could teleport out of here and there is a chance that nobody would have to fucking die. Leave a message for Urk.
Empress Rita @ 2/6/2013 18:36
Yeah, I agree with Eleanor.
But that only works if Urk is recharged. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to follow us.
Eleanor @ 2/6/2013 18:52
Urk is 1 room East right?
That is my result for this phase, wanted to confirm.
Empress Rita @ 2/6/2013 18:57
Yep

##Follow: Kristoff
Airlea @ 2/6/2013 19:46
Another random thought, but if some of us exited east, we could meet up with Urk instead of him either being here alone or some of us waiting for him. Then we could try to go toward the Guardian on the east side in the unknown area and may also be able to meet up with Aqua B, (I'm still aqua at heart ;) )
Kristoff the Grey @ 2/6/2013 20:43
I am going to check the West exit.
Airlea @ 2/6/2013 20:47
What about east, and catching Urk there? Then heading further east which another group works on the 2 Guardians in this area?
Airlea @ 2/6/2013 20:47
oh...honestly edit would be so handy when I don't think before I type. Guess if Urk is there, it's really not an exit that needs checked -_-

Boone @ 2/6/2013 20:48
i dont believe urk will be recharged
Boone @ 2/6/2013 20:50
is aqua grouup exiting here in the past?
if they do then someone from aqua will be hit by a rock if we staff away
Boone @ 2/6/2013 20:55
north may be the way to go. for gold group loooking for virgil
there is a raised platform in this future room. it connects the north wall to the east wall. the east way will lead to 9880. the north part is what wEE should track down. to find a way up.
i will update my map in a moment :goodtimes:
A hero is no braver than an ordinary man,

I don't want to give up on team B, :( they are over there somewhere and if we head that direction we can look for the Guardian and may find them as well.
Boone @ 2/6/2013 21:04
*brushes aside rock chunks to clear space*
*lays maps on ground*
The Past
The Future
the interesting part. is that the future 3620 does not have an eaaast exit. we know from airleas earlier scans. it does not connect to 7893.
but. they both have raised platforms. and we must get up to them. the one in future 3620 runs north from it. the entrance may be in that gap
*points*
between 3620 and 9392.
so perhaps eaast is the way to go? to see if there is a north way later in the future. to enter the gap and look for a way up?

Oh, not a mistake, through this phase I have suggested both. But if your group is traveling, then it occurred to me that if we went east we could meet Urk, watch for the other group (since we know some of those numbers I can scan as we go) and try to get to the Guardian on the east.
A hero is no braver than an ordinary man,

i wish wee could find the other end of the blue shuttle.
i am confident that one end leads just north of the NE guardian. it would be very convenient. to take the blue shuttle up there to get the guardian. and reconnect with aqua b
it must be around here somewhere

As the group were discussing their plans, the ceiling began to shake and rumble. So many of the overhanging rocks had fallen down already but a large one was looming overhead. Most of the group were scattered across the room, well out of the range of the potential impact but two people were still stood in the middle. Walton and the General stood by as the ceiling overhead cracked and there was a tremendous rush of dust and rubble.
The group heard the crashing noise, followed by the groans. When they were done, the dust in the air was thick. Two sets of coughs emerged from the fog that had filled the room. Helm and Maria crept over through the thick of it to clear away some of the rubble.
It slowly began to settle, revealing the slightly tired and distraught face of Walton. He was backed up against the wall looking sad.
"It just missed me by an inch..." He murmured. There was another round of coughing.
"Oh deeeeEar" Said Boone sadly.
The General was laying out on the floor, his abdomen pinned in place by the large piece of rock that had clattered down from above. He had a tired and knowing look in his eyes.
"I have faced many combat situation to know full story...it does not....it does not end well." He said sadly.
"We should try and move the rock." Said Rita, looking around for volunteers. People were hesitant. She walked to the other side of it and saw why.
"Oh." She said miserably.
The blood was pouring out on this side. Even if they moved it, he wouldn't get very far.
"I came on this mission expecting danger....it started out and seemed like fool's mission with untrained recruits."
He looked around at them.
"You have proven to be better than I expected...that much can be said."
He closed his eyes and lay back. He was unable to move much at all.
"You must...not lose track. Time runs short. Willis gains his power. Stay focused...do what you must....do this thing. That is your mission...that is what you must finish. We came here with great purpose. Let us not be like Happy men who die alone. Let us save world. It needs saving right now more than ever."
The group fell silent and nodded.
"WeeeE will do our best." Said Boone.
The General smiled up with weary eyes.
"Do better than best. This is....old man's last wish. Please....make it happen...."
He closed his weary eyes once more. This time he didn't open them again. Rita kneeled down and felt his pulse gently, shaking her head.
"He's dead..." She said softly.

The group readied themselves. It was time to move on.
Phase 61 will end in about an hour's time. Anybody who has not yet posted an exit action may do so. No other actions can be used, and no existing exit actions can be changed.
