Mark stumbled Northwards in somewhat of a drunken haze. He still had some of Marek's famous moonshine secreted away and now was as good a time as any to drink it. He almost veered West but he shook his head, instead turning for the North. After almost tripping down the stairs, he pressed the release and stepped through into a strangely bright room, almost shocking in this place.
Then he sobered up quickly. The room was twice the width of a standard room. The exit North was on the Western side. And all along the walls, high above were smaller doors. They were sealed shut with no visible means of opening them but they all led out into the floor. There was something foul and dark in the air, even though the room was bright. He felt very very ill at ease and he needed his wits about him.
His head jerked up as one of the openings slid. Crouched in there was a shade, one of the horrible creatures that Willis called on to do his bidding. It was all swirling darkness and shadow with bright pale eyes, looking at him. It was vaguely human shaped but many of them weren't. It also had wings to glide with, and it swooped down screeching.
Mark swore as he danced across the floor, trying to move out of its path. It narrowly missed him by an inch as another of the portals opened and a second creature descended into the room below. This one caught the side of his head, sending him tumbling backwards. The room was soon cris-crossed with darkness as the monstrous creatures formed into one horrible shadowy mass that arced over him and past him, cutting his flesh and making him shriek out in pain as the blood dripped onto the floor below.
His cries brought his four companions to his side. By then the shadow creatures had passed and were once more tucked away inside the passages above.
"Why did they leave?" Kristoff asked.
"Let's not ask such question and just be glad." Said the General sagely. They were foul things.
Airlea helped Mark to his feet. He was still alive, though his skin was torn in places and he was bleeding all over. He reached into his pack and took another swig of moonshine. They were going to need more.
It is now Phase 59. Phase 59 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

| The parallel to this room is the one from phase 23, it has the training dummies, armour, sword and shield. Any interest in traveling now and seeing if we could at least snag a sword or armour? I'm wondering if the armour would help protect the person exiting first each time. Worst part to that plan is I can't keep track of the other group if we travel to the past, the walkies should be back though. |

Well, we could chill back here for a few phases, head towards Cassandra.
How does the crystal work, does it work in the middle of the phase? Otherwise we have to Exit: Portal |

I say we decide now, and Eleanor can pitch in or teleport when she gets online. That way we can cover more ground? |

I think we should only use crystal for emergency. I do not think situation qualifies as one.
North is not trapped so going there might prove interesting.
Going to past would not lead us closer to rest of group or lead us closer to Cassandra, I therefore do not think it best choice. |

The crystal would definitely be wasted if we used it now.
I would have to hear more about the parallel room before considering we go there. How did you find out about it Airlea? |

Since this room wasn't a trap room, are we putting this attack down to a monster? If so, shouldn't the other group have detected it with the orb? |

Eleanor, I don't know I've been exiting first since we split at phase 50, and no ones said any different.
Kristoff, true say, I would say that that is a mobile error.

I can exit first if no one else wants to. Not sure how we rank roles within the group, so if I'm one of the more disposable, just let me know.

I'd say it's probably best to scan the other half. If we're getting walkie connection with them upon teleporting, it's best they know what the other groups plan is. |

True, mentally I placed it NW when I read her initial post. There's also a chance, if it is him, he didn't know he was exiting into 9880. Boone said 9880 past is a big portal now, they entered the portal and it brought them to the future. He didn't say whether that was an immediate action of entering the room or if they chose to teleport.

We know for a fact that when Ezra got into the teleportation trap that Lincoln got caught in they got returned to 9880*. |

| And I'm back, they are exiting east and believe that should be the balance room. They said nothing else about future plans or where they are heading, for now it seems they want to be sure of where they are. Fred is inactive and they are pushing him. Dennis hasn't posted. |

Phase 59 will end in about an hour's time. Anybody who has not yet posted an exit action may do so. No other actions can be used, and no existing exit actions can be changed. |
