It was time to move on again. Hobert booted one of the skeletons to the side of the platform with a smirk. It toppled slightly, dangling off the edge. Fortunately this didn't upset the balance much. Mark still took care when crossing to the opposite door. This platform never felt good to walk across. He pushed the door release and was glad to be back on solid ground.
Overhead the lights flickered on and off moodily. They gave the place an eerie feel. The ransacked boxes and shelves didn't help. It was strange how this place had been abandoned and why a place like this even existed down here at all. The boxes were all empty so whatever the purpose, it had long since passed.
Airlea and the others followed behind him. Against the wall was a bed, but it was worse for wear and the damp and mould had seeped into it, giving a rank odour to the air. Brittany once again turned her nose up. She was doing that a lot lately
Hobert opened and closed a closet on the wall but that too was empty. There were pieces of burnt and screwed up paper on the floor. Nothing salvageable. The damp had crept into those too. He walked away and headed for the rusted metal staircase. It may have been the cleanest thing in the room. It felt stable enough as he climbed up. The room was twice the length of a standard room with the stairs consuming the entire lower half. To the West at the top was another door.
He sat down on the stairs and dozed off. Things had been quiet lately.
It is now Phase 56. Phase 56 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Long live our Soviet motherland,
Built by the people's mighty hand.
Long live our people, united and free.
Strong in our friendship tried by fire.
Long may our crimson flag inspire,
Shining in glory for all men to see.
I've been thinking about where we go from the stairs. The plan is to explore the SW, I believe. We're also in the future and heading into an area that's unexplored. The traps in the future seem to be more lethal than those in the past. Would it be beneficial to teleport to the past and explore this area from there? By having room numbers I could scan our current rooms and know what the future parallel of each contains but maybe with less risk to the group overall. Figured this was a quiet phase and a good time to discuss what we are doing next.
