Tyrese pushed open the Southern door. He was feeling so much calmer after...after whatever that was back there. It was refreshing. He stepped out into the great beyond feeling full of life when without warning he was suddenly surrounded by death.
The floor beneath his feet was covered in skulls. Human skulls. They were piled up all over the room and they crunched beneath his feet as he walked. The room was a standard size with an exit to the North and South and a sinister looking cave to the East. The cave was built out of the skulls. Something was stirring in there so Tyrese kept his distance.
From the entrance to the cave across the floor was a broken wire. It had been snapped by something and there were more skulls disturbed and shattered around it. But in amongst the wreckage was something else entirely. It wasn't a skull...not yet...but it was decayed. It was the remains of a human head that had rotted quite horribly.
"That would be Tyron" Said Rita, sniffing back a tear.
Tyron was grinning up even in death. The rest of his decayed remains were laying in shattered pieces all around the room. There was dried blood across several of the skulls too. Marek lurched forth slightly drunkenly and nodded solemnly.
"May he forever exit North in peace." He said mournfully.
It is now Phase 49. Phase 49 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Alright, we need to organize and move all the items this phase, because we're splitting next phase, and it's complicated enough to split people into two groups, in one phase, let alone transfer items.

I'll pop in when I can but what I was reading in this thread, a lot of what I would have said was said and there hasn't been anything too exciting happening. So I didn't spend time reading anything.

No, truth is fine. Usually when it comes from you, it is tailored to favour you or it's a little off base in a bad way towards me which makes me think it's biased just because you don't like me. |

Think the plan is to get follows on the right group just to make sure those are in place before we split. Then Boone and I will follow Mark. I think the concern is if someone doesn't check in each phase, but you are always here to check in so shouldn't matter really.

Hats are kind of a thing that freed slaves wear but I suppose that's fitting what we are trying to accomplish.
I used the pelt of a fox I had stashed away I hope you don't mind.
And my culture isn't much for war paint but I did my best with the dyes I had.

I had been telling my group little stories from books I read when I was little child. Books where about adventurers like us. Set to face evils of their world. It was group of interesting people and stories regarding their adventures and interactions. You should read them when we get out of here.
I told story about cerberus tracker and happy man but perhaps it is time for another one.
One in group was very arrogant. Very self centered and idiotic. He was regarded as tyrant and idiot. But for some reason he was king of his own land. Perhaps something like Bito Islands that Rita talks so much about. Why anyone would want him as king still alludes me, but perhaps that was reason. Person no one cared for was king.
When whole group had to select two leaders, king was picked. It was surprise to everybody. Who believe this man could lead? Apparently some fools did. It would later be deemed as worst mistake of their lives, even cost some theirs. He would later be revealed as bad pick for leader, as he had none of qualities required.
This king, very often called Red King, was very angry and paranoid man. Perhaps he had difficult childhood. Perhaps he was abused. Perhaps his parents beat him. Perhaps he was born this way. It is no said. As far as I know Bito Island are good place to grow up, but this man seemed very unstable.
He was very angry at everyone. Constantly making threats. It was not good for group in whole. No one in group liked this „king“. They would wonder, who gave him this title? Why did we pick him as leader?
He would hold weapons and make threats towards people so they would do what he wanted. No king if you ask me. He was very poor leader. I have seen many leaders in my time as general, he would qualify as worst.
He would plague group with threats. Make them feel scared for lives. This is not what leader do. Leader inspires his men. Not drag them down to his own sad world. It was very sad to read this good group of people being weighed down by poor leader.
Red King got name from hallucinations he suffered from. He was seeing things that are not there. Hearing things no one else heard. This did not help him, only fuel his paranoia and anger. This only proved he was mentally unstable. He was weak. He should not have been in adventure, such fragile beings should stay home.
Finally group realise. Why we need Red King? He was useless. He was just making group feel bad and dragging down spirit. He had to go. One brave soul in group took weapon and ended his sad little life. Put him to peace.
Perhaps he only wanted peace. Perhaps he went on adventure to die. Perhaps he did not want to live. We will never know.
Perhaps group regretted decision to end life later, as he returned as zombie to plague group once more. But that is another story.
Our leaders have proved good and able, I am happy for that. We should hope in future no leader of ours turns out to be like Red King. |
