I think you should wait. I'd still like to continue north personally, but we might decide to try to bridge the gap.

*points*
we are at the north side of 5024 right now.
the pipe cannot be stepped onto. its toOo shaky. thank you helm :goodtimes:
the pipe leads out to the far west into that room. this pipe is important somehow!
i left spaces for the gaps. if we use the controls. we could get to that guardian room |
If we go north, we could still get to the other guardian room though. I would just hate to abandon it after spending so many phases trying to access it. If only we still had two walkies, we could split up and try to access both guardian rooms. =/
How sure are you about the SW guardian room's placement? Is that just a guess?

*looks northward and shakes head*
That damn balcony... that damn, impregnable balcony. You'll have to wait until later. But don't think I've forgotten you. *shakes fist*
This whole situation distinctly reminds me of a time when Frosti lost his crown.
It all began when I heard a shriek coming from the royal quarters of the Bito Castle. It sounded like a little girl getting murdered. I quickly ran towards the scream and discovered it came from Frosti's room. There I found him getting his shoulders massaged by his brother Bear, and Rito crouched on all fours acting as his footstool. It was pathetic how much those two bowed to his whims. It's no wonder he turned into the Red King. He always had that side to him, but it certainly didn't help that everyone in the royal family treated him like a godsend.
Anyway. I reluctantly asked what the matter was this time.
"MY CROWN, RITA!!! YOU IDIOT!!! THE KING'S CROWN IS....... GONE!!" he screamed as if I was standing halfway across the Bito Isles. Even though he was in actuality the heir apparent to the emperorship, he insisted on being called King. If any of the common folk dared address him as anything but, he would instantly go crying to his father and have them locked away in the dungeons for the rest of their lives.
"Ol' Frosti's gonna turn this kingdom upside-down until he finds it!" Bear said excitedly.
"mmmmm...BITO" Rito chimed proudly.
"THAT'S RIGHT RITA!! THING'S ARE ABOUT TO GET... KRAZY! WOOOOOOOO  " Frosti screamed, obnoxiously, as he stood up on Rito's back and leapt to the floor.
I started to say something, but quickly held my tongue. By this point, I was all too familiar with how things worked around there. Once Frosti had his mind set on something, there was no stopping him.
The three idiots dashed out of Frosti's chambers and pushed me out of the way, giggling like schoolgirls.
It was later that I found out that Fong had actually given Frosti control of the Bito Royal Guard for this...inquisition. Frosti and his posse would go over to unsuspecting peasants' houses and demand that they give up his crown. When they would tell him that they have no idea what he was talking about, he'd have them arrested for treason. There was no kind of judicial system in the Bito Isles; Emperor Fong acted as both the judge and the jury. So he had all of these "treasonous traitors" promptly hanged.
Then came a rapping at my door in the middle of the night. Before I could even answer, Frosti kicked in my door...well, tried to. He broke his toe trying to kick in my door and look cool, which just made him even more enraged. He ordered his guards to kick it down instead, and stumbled his way in. "RITA!! MY CROWN!! I KNOW YOU HAVE IT!!" he yelped.
I sat up in my bed as Frosti pathetically bumbled across the room, trying to look as menacing as possible. By the time he got over to me there were tears forming in his eyes. He soon began sobbing like a little baby, and mumbled through his sobs, "Rita... m-my crown... you h-have it... don't you..."
I sighed and shook my head.
"Frosti... look up," I said.
"YOU HID IT IN YOUR CEILING!? I'LL HAVE YOU KILLED FOR THIS!!" he screamed and lunged towards me.
I dodged out of the way and continued, "Frosti, your head. The crown is on your head. It's been there literally the entire time."
He reached up and felt it. His face turned red.
"YOU... YOU PUT IT THERE DIDN'T YOU!!! PLAYING A TRICK ON THE OL' KING ARE WE!!??"
But this was pitiful, even for him. His anger soon turned to embarrassment as it all dawned on his pea-sized brain. He had killed at least a dozen peasants for hiding a crown that he was wearing.
"lol oh well!" he said cheerfully as he skipped back out the door, forgetting that his toe was broken. He landed right on it and crumpled to the floor. Rito and Bear grabbed him by the arms and helped him walk the rest of the way.
I rolled back over and went back to sleep.
The point is. Sometimes, no matter how many hoops you jump through, the thing you seek ends up being right under your nose the whole time. I sincerely hope we don't end up looking as foolish as Frosti when it comes to that balcony.

Boone said he would, but I don't think it really matters who does it.
But then again that might be what Willis wants us to think. That first control panel was so safe and easy it makes me suspicious. Nothing's ever that safe and easy down here.

Boone...
If you want someone else to do the controls you can just say so. >_>
We need to do that and start pushing Walton soon.
