"I am the Warrior."
Lee said, thumping his chest proudly. Tyrese stood across from him as the two diligently
shared information on their trips through the labyrinth. Stonehard Lee reached into his
pack and nonchalantly produced a sleek pistol.
"And this is my duty."
The golem leveled the pistol at Tyrese he hesitated a moment before pulling the trigger.
The muzzle flashed and Tyrese fell to the ground. Stonehard Lee tossed the spent, useless
gun away and walked towards the fallen Tyrese.
"I'm really sorry, friend."
There was a grunt as Tyrese sat up from the floor. He pushed himself to stand while staring
at the golem. Tyrese brushed himself off and crossed his arms over his chest.
"That's the thanks I get for exiting first?"
Lee took a step back. A pronounced awkwardness hung in the air. | "Thanks, Lee."
Tyrese groaned as he drew a greek sword.
"You really didn't have to do that."
Tyrese took a deep breath and then ran at the golem. The athletic sportsman
spun to the right as he came close to Lee, slamming the blade into the golem's
rock hard side. Blade on stone made a wicked sound, but as Tyrese came to a stop
he saw only a bit of damage had been done.
"Friend..."
Lee held a hand to the wound on his side. It was feint, but a purple liquid was
dripping from the opened wound. The awkwardness grew more as the two still stood,
staring at one another. |
