There's only one exit to the north, I'll need to remember this for map-making.

Right now I have nothing to go off of. Everyone so far seems cool but I really don't like or trust Origo. I'm also going to be careful not to join a group with people who don't like me. I don't know about the others but I prefer my internal organs inside of me, so I'm hoping I can possibly stay in a large enough group where I'll never be in the position to trigger a trap and never be alone with the butcher.

I don't know what Taylor is. Like, he's annoying whatever he is. I hope he's the butcher cause he's an idiot and will never win.

That's a big word for him... I had to Google it myself, so it's not adding up. Could he be playing a stupid and impressionable angle? It's possible.

Yeah, Taylor is back-tracking. It's like he wanted to be a non-threatening idiot and then decided to stop trying. Origo has been giving me negative reputation for days now. Walton is creepy. Boone is funny. I've been planting seeds of doubt in the group towards Hobert and I'm hoping Katy will carry on calling him a sociopath.

I find it very suspicious that Walton keeps trying to say we'll be okay.

As I know roles can change at any time, I really need to keep note of any slight changes in behavior. A quick change in alignment will bring about a change in mannerisms however so slight so I really have to hope I can notice them. Taylor's change in disposition seems like lack of judgement from him and I don't trust him. I'd do well to avoid him.

I'm not suggesting Taylor's role changed on day 1, I think he's just slipped already without realizing it. He might not be as dumb as he wanted to lead on.

The group had grown tired and restless. This wait was uncomfortable. Gabriel was pacing the floor lost in some kind of thought.
"Feel like sharing?" Said Kane bitterly.
Gabriel looked up.
"I'm just making sure this is right. I was expecting a certain number and I have to just check that..."
"How did you know how many would show up?" Said Ezra suspiciously.
"Who cares!" Said Angela frustratedly. "Let's just go already!"
Dennis nodded in agreement. There were some people who were less eager though. Mikhail stood up at the back of the room and shook his head.
"We are badly equipped, poorly experienced and liable to attack. This is a suicide mission. None of you know what you're getting yourselves into here. As only real soldier here, I say we wait it out until real backup comes. Gabriel don't do this. I trusted you."
Gabriel pondered something and sighed.
"Mikhail you know where the passage is. Would you care to show me."
Mikhail shook his head. He wasn't impressed.
"Hark! Do so at once! Your emperor demands it!" Fong declared.
Mikhail looked around at the impatient faces and started to smile. Then he laughed a little. They wanted to go above ground? So be it. They'd turn back soon enough. He walked over to the far wall and began banging on the concrete with his fist. One piece of it clanked a little and felt differently under his touch. He pointed at the wall and nodded then stepped back. The blood wouldn't be on his hands.
Gabriel marched over and grabbed a metal bar from the floor. He began smashing away at the wall carefully. Some of the other group members came over to assist. Within no time there was a gaping hole in the wall. A stairwell led upwards. Gabriel stood there exhausted.
"After you." Said Lincoln carefully, looking at Gabriel. Gabriel blinked.
"Oh, you misunderstand. I won't be joining you." Said Gabriel waving his arms. "I'm not cut out for something like this."
He began to walk across the floor as Marek stood snarling, blocking his path. Marek stepped aside and there were more angry faces.
"Gabriel you have to come!" Said Brie, pleadingly.
"Well I don't care if he doesn't. I'm going up, with or without the rest of you. Later!" Said Angela with a scowl. She approached the stairwell carefully as there was a blur of motion. She was shoved aside rather crudely. Marek had ran ahead. He was darting up the stairs, occasionally using his hands to gain more momentum like a wild ape. He let out a frustrated snarl from the room above.
Angela dusted herself down and climbed up as the others followed suit. Carl paused for a moment and glanced back at Gabriel. He started to say something as he was bustled into from behind by Kane.
"Are we moving today or what?" Said Kane. Carl walked forward miserably. Mikhail waited until the others had gone and sighed. For death or freedom, right? He dashed up the stairwell.
At the top the group were all stood around. Marek was eyeing up the vehicle at the front of the room suspiciously. The entire chamber was covered by a strange white, plastic sheeting. Most of the walls had crumbled but some of the palace foundations stood intact. Ancient pillars had collapsed all over the room. The vehicle was large and looked like a truck. It was standing in front of a heavyset doorway. Gabriel stood on the stairwell.
"What is all this stuff?" Asked Brittany, curiously as she touched the plastic. It fluttered in the wind.
"It's a radiation shield. We installed it long ago." Said Mikhail forlornly. "It's been up since we last attempted a raid. You can't actually step out into the wilderness. The fallout will take hundreds of years to properly decay. The vehicle is the only way. So where's the key Gabriel?"
Gabriel shrugged his shoulders.
"I was hoping you had one."
Mikhail sighed. This got better and better. Boone danced around impatiently.
Suddenly there was a clicking noise and the truck sparked into life. The door opened and Parker grinned out at the group.
"Who needs keys right?" He said, leaping down. Mikhail hesitated and strode forth to the driver's seat. Last time he did this they were attacked...
The rest of the group milled into the back. Marek stood last and looked suspiciously before finally clambering up with a scowl. Mikhail watched carefully as Gabriel walked towards the control panel for the door and keyed in a code. The door opened and the truck veered forward.
There were small slits of windows that allowed the group to see out into the wasteland. Everything was a shade of vibrant orange and red. Dust blew around in all directions. This was an alien world. The fragments and remains of vehicles, benches, buildings, tree bark...everything you could possibly imagine lay scattered around the landscape as far as the eye could see. Angela smiled intensely. Mark quickly grabbed his phone and snapped a quick image. Sophia gurgled on the floor. Fong shot a sideways look at Rita who returned the favour.
And the vehicle moved forth. Up ahead was the fortress. It was enormous. A large black structure that stretched in all manner of directions. At the centre, an enormous tower loomed. Above it a beam of pure purple light seemed to cascade into the clouds. What was happening up there? It caused them to rumble and cascade around in a spiral. Red lights danced across their surface. An occasional purple spark earthed itself in the structure. It happened fairly often.
Suddenly the vehicle jolted.
"What was that?!" Said Ezra frantically. The people by the windows tried in vain to look around.
"INCOMING!" Shouted Mikhail.
Suddenly the vehicle jolted again as something black smashed against the side. The glass cracked a little. Brittany let out another eardrum breaking screech.
Dark shapes were clustering on the horizon and were rising into the air. One veered straight into the path of the vehicle, smashing hard against the front. Mikhail cursed as the vehicle span to the side. There was nothing for it. He needed to floor it.
"HOLD ON TIGHT!" He instructed. Everybody braced themselves as the truck span into action. It ploughed through the horrible dark shapes that whirled all around it. The dusty landscape became a distant memory. Marek looked on longingly. Finally the entire vehicle was encased in darkness. Mikhail looked at his radar carefully. He was on course...hopefully.
There was a tremendous crashing sound and the world turned to darkness as everybody fell forward and the truck toppled over on itself.

A purple spark flitted across the air. Angela slowly opened her eyes. Everything was a blur. She was laying on her back looking up at a tall shaft above. She raised her hand. It was covered in blood. Quickly leaping into action she looked down at her arm. There was a cut along the length of her arm. She winced and tried to focus. Shapes all around her were milling into action.
Dennis crept to his knees and took a head-count. Were they all still present? Another purple spark danced across the floor. He looked over towards his back and saw some people working. Ezra, Mikhail and Lincoln were hoisting a plastic sheet onto a gap in the wall. Did they plow straight through it?
"What are you doing?" He asked suspiciously.
Mikhail turned around.
"The radiation can get through the breach in the wall. We need to cover it."
Kane sat there and looked at the covered gap. He wiped a trickle of blood from his forehead.
"What if we uhh...what if we change our minds?"
"Having second thoughts tough guy?" Said Tyrese, standing next to him. Kane snarled.
"Not me but I bet the kiddies and the women want to quit already."
"There's no going back now." Mikhail smirked. "They already know we're here. Those dark shapes were shades. The army of Willis. They saw us arrive. The great wizard likely already knows about our little breach and will no doubt kill us before too long."
Brittany whimpered.
"I DON'T WANNA DIIIIEEEE!!!" She shrieked.
"Nobody is dying." Said Lincoln encouragingly. "We came here to do something right? For whatever reason we're all here now, so let's go do it. Let's finish this so we can all go home."
There were some murmurs of agreement but not everybody looked convinced. Parker was sat above the wreckage of the truck, playing with his lighter. It was broken. He tossed it into the debris with a shrug. Marek stood above the group and looked up in awe. The rest of them followed. That was quite a sight.
The room they were stood in was a corridor that extended Northwards, but overhead in the far distance was a high wooden bridge. It rocked gently, not looking particularly stable. There was a passage either side of it. They looked onwards and saw there was only one way out of this room if they couldn't turn back. A single sealed doorway to the North.
This was it. No looking back now.

OK Phase summary: I was teasing Brie in character and everyone else was taking it mega personally. Sophia is the worst of them all.
