I would assume it best if when we return we have all seen the same things.

I believe the word you are looking for is anticipation.

May the gods be with us.

May we receive what is coming to us.

They will if we are deserving of favor.

I still hold to hope.

The gods are not always kind.

But I feel their actions are just.

Even if we don't understand them.
