Either he knows something we don't know or he has a personal agenda to fulfill.

If Theseus is compelled to travel alone, so be it. I fear there is more to this than not wanting to be around those in the group. I wish we knew more of the situation.

From what I've seen from him, he doesn't seem that way. Cocky and arrogant yes, but stupid not so far.

My fears are that he is being arrogant so that we do not fight hard to have him stay (or follow him), and that his leaving will cost the group a valued member (activity, role, etc)

Maybe he must find himself alone in a certain number of phases? Maybe he has an item or scroll he can only read while alone (or something that becomes public to all in the room when activated/read)?

Part of me hopes he is just being arrogant to be arrogant and that we won't be losing anything of value, but I highly doubt that.

Well so far he's being quite active and he doesn't fear what's beyond the door (so he goes first), which leads me to think he might have an extra life or something along that (yes, even though this is the first phase and chances are that there isn't something to kill us up next). So unless we meet a teleporter or something like that, he's useful to us in that way.

Completely agree.

I don't think he's foolish enough to believe he can survive alone unless he has some particular power that would make him safer than the rest of us. I also don't believe we would be wise to allow him to just wander away without questioning this as we are and deciding if this is really the best option for the group.

You're scared and want my company? I understand. I'd feel the same way too.

I suppose I can stick around a little bit longer if it brings you all some comfort.

We just don't want you doing something reckless and getting yourself killed so soon, Theseus! I'm glad that you might stay with us longer. :)

Also, just to make sure... Anyone else has or had (and then lost) any items in their inventory?

I forgot to ask this beforehand but it seems some people did and lost them while entering this place. I for once never had an item in my inventory (the thing about a canteen was just randomness i toyed with during the meeting).

My inventory's as empty too. I didn't have anything official at the lake.

Yeah, I had nothing. I imagine people have different powers though, like stonehard has some magic resistance.
