Room 5401* (future)
Phase 36:
Quote
Peter stretched his arms. Felt good not being dragged about. Time to see what the future had in store. He walked over to the Western door and pressed the strange device in firmly. The door slid open and he walked into the unknown, beyond.

He came out into a funny shaped room. It was twice the width of a standard room but on the Western half, it curved and extended to twice the length of one too. The floor was red metal and the air was very dark. He could make out the shape of an exit opposite this one on the Western side. As he walked across he also noted there was one to the far South and a big metal door to the North. It was illuminated by a red light that turned green, highlighting the painted yellow ring on the door.

The door slid open as he approached and one of the shuttles trundled out along the track, the doors opening automatically. He ignored it and moved out to the South when he was hit in full force by an invisible wall. He stumbled backwards, rubbing his head frustratedly. Then he saw the figure. It was human in shape but darker and more sinister. He'd seen it before in a different light...but where?

Then it hit him. The weapons...they were taken by...

"The force field is up so you can't get past. Not yet anyway. Master Willis thinks we need to play with you instead of kill you. I don't know what he's thinking. Personally I'd like to cut you all up where you stand but the dog has been making short work of our forces anyway so....here we are."

Peter eyed the figure suspiciously.

"Who are you and where are our weapons?" He demanded.

"I've been watching you and I don't think you really need to worry about weapons. I'm General Bear, the greatest General who ever lived. I'm Master Willis' right-hand man. I'm invincible and I could take you all out but I won't do that because we have to play a dumb game. So here it is."

The others had followed through at this point and were watching silently.

"This room is rigged with electronic barriers that come up from the floor. You all need to stand apart and pick somebody to raise the barriers around. Once you've picked, that person will be trapped and can't pick again. The last person to get trapped wins a prize. The Master likes his little games sadly."

Ajax snarled.

"What if we refuse to play your silly games?"

Bear turned away and walked towards the South. A number of sinister looking eyes lit up in the darkness.

"They happen. They'll attack one of the ones who opts out so my advice is...don't. Of course, they'll attack whoever you trap first too. Did I forget to mention that? Oh well. Probably better pick somebody you really don't like first."

He laughed and walked through the Southern door, leaving the group in the dark with the shades watching them carefully.

It is now Phase 36. Phase 36 will end in roughly 24 hour from now.

Objectives:
Make a list of players in your role threads, numbered 1-16. Once you have all selected, the barriers will be raised around whoever has the most votes in turn. Once a player has the barriers raised around them, their future votes will no longer count. In the case of a tie, multiple people will be trapped in the barriers. The first person trapped in will be attacked, the last will receive a prize. If people do not choose a list, they will be thrown into the pool of players to be potentially attacked.

Players (17):
Airlea
Ajax
Andrael
Arimnestos
Balagor
Brittany
Dennis
Dern
General Chuikov
Hobert
Katy
Kristoff
Maria

Peter
Sophia
Tyrese *

Special Note:
Due to external circumstances beyond the player's control, Tyrese will be unable to participate in the game for the next few phases. Until such a time as he can, his player will be "frozen" in the game and will not be afflicted by anything. For this reason, he is not a valid candidate for the voting in this game. His name will appear with an asterisk next to it until he is able to return.

Phase 37:
Quote
The group stood by in the dimness and waited. It was time to see what was going to happen. They had carefully chosen everything they needed to. Now they just had to watch it play out...

In the darkness came a sudden flash of light. Katy looked on as a beam of yellow light rose in front of her. She tried to move forward but it blocked her passage, sending her reeling backwards. She lay on the floor, eyes closed as another beam rose up behind her. And another to her right. There was only one point of escape remaining. She took a step to her left, raising herself off the ground carefully and stumbled into another glowing yellow beam.

Laying on the floor despondently, she looked around to the rest of the group for support. There wasn't much they could do. Kristoff shrugged.

"It won't hurt much. Just hang in there."

Katy nodded. It would all be over in a second and they'd go back about their business. She looked up as something moved down from the ceiling. Diving out of the way suddenly, she just managed to dodge something screeching from above as it swooped down to where she stood. The rest of the group backed away carefully. Airlea noticed a yellow glow rise up behind her as she did. Soon she was trapped in place too.

Another black swooping thing came hurtling down from above, this one caught Katy on the side of the face. Red trickled down and splashed against the floor as she wiped her cheek.

"Hang in there!" Said Ajax, finding his voice. As he did, a yellow barrier rose in front of him too. He looked over to see another rise around Andrael who was sat observing, calmly.

There was a screech as something huge and monstrous detached from the wall and cannoned into Katy's stomach. She rolled backwards into the barrier which in turn caused her more pain. She lay on the floor whimpering. Balagor snarled and tried to dash over but a barrier rose around him too.

She looked up one last time to see a monstrosity open its jaws. A blast of energy careened through the air and took her in the chest. It came right out the other side.

Katy fell forward slowly and hit the ground with a thud. Around where she lay, red pooled everywhere. There was a hole right through her. The rest watched on mournfully as the beasts fled the area, leaving them alone. Barriers rose up around Brittany, Dennis and Helm. Nobody was paying them much attention.

More rose up around Mikhail, Hobert and Kristoff. Another around Maria who sat there dejectedly and another around Pai Chan. Finally Peter watched as a barrier rose around him, leaving Sophia standing open in the room. She waited in silence until the barriers finally departed.

Then she walked over to Katy's body and carefully flipped her over. Her eyes were glazed over as she looked up at the dim air. The room smelled of blood and death.

It is now Phase 37. Phase 37 will end in roughly 24 hour from now.

Room 1955
Quote
Balagor woke up from his sleep and stretched. It was time to go exploring. He stormed over to the Western exit and paused momentarily. He turned back to the remains of Katy and rolled her over so she was facing upwards.

"This is the only way a true warrior should lie after life." He explained to the group and strode back over to the door, silently this time.

He still had no time for this futuristic nonsense. It was nothing but trouble. He punched the door release firmly without flinching, even when the metal grazed his hand. The door slid open jerkily and he went out into the beyond.

The room through here was a standard sized one. There were two exits, one to the East and the West. The floor was cold black metal. It felt uncomfortable on Balagor's bare feet but he'd trodden through worse in his time here. He walked over to the door on the opposite side and shrugged. There was nothing in here. He didn't like that one bit.

"Oooh a shower!" Said Brittany excitedly. She was staring at something on the wall. Balagor's eyes moved across to the invisible door on the grey metal wall.

"What's a shower?" He said rubbing his head in confusion.

"It's where we go to get cleaned up." Said Maria helpfully. The rest of the group had walked in at this point.

"Regular cleaning is bad for the spirit. I carry the mark of everywhere I travel for as long as I can." Said Balagor, defiantly.

"Willis probably not interested in washing self." Said General Chuikov as he walked over to the glass door. There was a door release next to it which he pushed. It slid open, revealing a small chamber beyond. The chamber was white and full of strange equipment with metal panels at the top and the bottom.

And flashing green at the side was a terminal. Below it was a number pad. It said "Enter destination".

It is now Phase 38. Phase 38 will end in roughly 24 hour from now.

Sophia walked slowly towards the West. The room was silent. Airlea had told them some grave news, and now they wept.

"We should keep moving." Urged Kristoff, glancing over to the East as if expecting something horrible to walk through at any moment. Airlea remained on the floor sobbing. So much tragedy of late. They needed something good.

Sophia was determined not to let the maze get to them. She carried his memory with her always. Whatever he'd done...whoever he was...she wouldn't fail him of all people.

"Give me strength my love." She said to herself as she pressed the door release. The others followed right behind her, not wanting to linger any more than necessary.

The bright red hit them immediately. It was very foreboding. The floor was black metal but red lights were dotted around it that gave the room the bloody hue. That was typical, right at that moment. They didn't need to see something like this. The room was a standard size, with exits set into the East and South.

But the North was the most peculiar. There was a regular looking door there, but it didn't have a mechanical door release. Balagor marched over to it and smirked.

"This is how we did things before fancy metal buttons!" He said and smacked the door hard with his fist. Nothing happened. He pushed, pulled and did just about everything but finally gave up, panting. The door could not be opened.

Sophia was more wary. They'd seen a room this red in the past. It always meant...

*whirrrrr*

Trouble.

The bright red light hit them as Sophia was forcibly pulled from her feet. She was surrounded by red light that was dragging her across the floor. Dennis and Helm jumped over to try and grab her hands but it was too late. A red staircase was descending on the Western side. It had slid open only moments ago. The light pulled her down into the depths of brightness. Too bright to see where she was going.

There was another whirring noise followed by a firm click as the staircase closed up again. Sophia was gone, somewhere below.

Maria walked over to the Southern exit with a look of fear in her eyes. She hadn't wanted to do this but...well...somebody had to.

"If I die just....just make sure to find it." She said. Helm and Sophia both nodded reassuringly. Maria nodded back. It was time to do this.

She pressed the door release gently and walked South into unknown territory. The door slammed shut behind her as she went. The room she was now stood in was twice the length of a standard room. There was only one other exit, to the far South. She moved across the floor as swiftly as she could, hoping to cover the entire length before the others arrived. It was important to be thorough.

There was a green haze to the air that gave the room an unpleasant aura. Maria didn't care for it one bit. Overhead there was a dark smog, tinged green by whatever forces were in the air. She could make something out, beyond the cloudy murk but it was hard to see. It was metallic looking whatever it was.

As she strode across the floor she noticed there were scorch marks on the floor and signs of erosion. This didn't look good. There was a sudden drip of water from up above. She caught the drip on the side of her hand and recoiled instantly in pain. This wasn't water. This was weak acid. It stung.

Then the heavens opened.

The smog cleared just enough that she could see a nozzle up above burst forth. She had the fast instinct to shut her eyes as it started coming down. In merging with the smog above, the water turned green and foul, burning her skin all over. She let out yelps of pain as the door opened and the others stood and watched, helpless to come to her aid.

"Don't come....don't come in!" She screamed. Her skin was raw from the pummeling of the green liquid.

Finally the nozzles sealed and she fell to the floor, steam rising from her. Helm rushed over and leaned down to support her but recoiled at the touch of her still damp arm. This substance really hurt. Maria's body was blistered and red but she was still alive. She lay groaning as she turned over, helping herself back upright.

Helm moved to the South. It seemed like they'd been stood around in here for far too long and time was against them. She felt restless and eager to move on. She pushed on the door releasing device and watched as it slid open. She sighed and took a brave step forward. The unknown was always unpleasant.

The room beyond had a terrible hue about it. The floor was blue of sorts but it was emitting an extremely bright light that veered on the side of green. The net effect was very unsettling. She strode across the floor, noticing how it crackled and fizzled with her every step. More future magic, presumably. It left her feeling queasy and unsettled. Behind her the others were now milling through.

The room was standard size with a door to the North and South. As she walked across the floor, it changed. She almost toppled over in shock. Beneath her feet was an image of something. It was shining up at her, hard to make-out because it wasn't in order. The image was scrambled. She turned to look at the group who seemed equally clueless. Maybe this was a rarity even in the strange future lands. She reached down and touched the floor. The tile beneath her foot lit up bright.

She jumped back at this. What magic allowed her to create light at her fingertips?

General Chuikov looked around at clueless faces. A few seemed to register but this one would be up to him. He nodded.

"It is liquid crystal. Substance used to make new computer monitors for many years now. It is also interactive. Let me try things."

He walked across to where Helm was stood, silently cursing the magic floor with her eyes. He walked onto the tile and moved across to where a blank tile lay to the right. The tile slid across the floor. Helm looked on in awe.

"Is puzzle. Tiles must be placed in right place. Very simple no?" Said Mikhail as he backed away, leaving the floor open for everybody to see.

It is now Phase 41. Phase 41 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Pai Chan was stood in the room silently. She hadn't spoken for a while. This place could really have that sort of effect on people. She was just staring longingly, her mind elsewhere and not really focused on the events around her. It came as no surprise that she didn't notice Sophia standing behind her, hovering silently.

"I'm sorry about this...." She said. The room turned dark as everybody looked on, their breaths held. And then there was the sound of cut meat.

Pai Chan fell to the floor, coughing and spluttering blood as he throat spurted out red fluid onto the floor. Sophia shut her eyes and took a step away, brandishing a small bloody knife. She moved silently to the side of the room, refusing to make eye contact with anybody and slumped down on the floor.

Pai writhed around for a few seconds before coming to a complete standstill. The red stained the tiles around the scrambled image, and her eyes stared upwards in horror, meeting Sophia's dead on.

She turned away and closed them as Pai stopped moving for the final time.

Arimnestos walked through the door to the North. Or at least one of them. The room he stepped out into had two exits set into the Northern wall. Overall it was twice the width of a standard room, with one of the Northern exits on the Eastern side and the other on the Western. On the Eastern side there was also an exit leading out to the South.

The chamber had very dark walls, such that it gave the impression of being larger than it was. There was a mystical air to it. He walked across the floor awkwardly, not quite knowing what might lay beyond. He was brave but wary. He'd been in far too many combat situations to know that strange things lurked in the darkness. His eyes darted around, looking for any sign of trouble he might see.

The floor had a very faint design. It was dark blue in colour and showed up brilliantly despite the darkness of the walls. Clearly the dark was an illusion. As he walked into the centre of the room, the other group members milled in behind him. Balagor's eyes were transfixed to the patterns on the floor. He was mouthing something when suddenly it hit him.

"Watch out! You're standing in the-" He started but it was too late.

Arimnestos looked down as a runic symbol on the floor lit up bright. It was intricately designed, moving around in a variety of patterns and spirals. He looked back over to the group fearfully and took a step forward but there was a tremendously bright flash as a circle of light rose from the circle he was stood in.

The light parted and there was still a figure inside the circle. But this one was female. Rita Kanakiri stumbled forwards, falling over and catching herself on her hands. She slowly rose from the ground and dusted herself off as she turned to look at the shocked group.

"You!" She said, her mouth open wide.

Balagor moved to the Northern exit on the Eastern side of the room. He stretched his arms and readied himself for action. Time to press onwards. In spite of the offers Hobert and Helm put forth, he wanted to embark on this adventure. He smashed his fist into the door release with a smile and waited for it to slide open, then stepped out into new territory.

The room beyond was twice the width of a standard room. There was an exit on the Eastern side to the North, and two exits on the Southern side to the East and West. The room was very bright red, with strange lights scattered around the surfaces. They illuminated faint chalk messages which read:

"! E
12 W"

On the Western side of the room where Balagor stood, there was a staircase descending into the floor. It too was painted red. Laying near the surface of the staircase were two skeletons. They were given a creepy aura by the red light that was shining over everything. As Balagor approached them, he felt himself become basked in red.

The others had entered the room and looked on as Balagor was forcibly dragged down the staircase, yelling out a warcry. A bright red light was dragging him into an open chamber at the bottom. There was a click as he disappeared from sight with a flash, and the staircase slowly rose upwards, forming a solid metal floor in its stead.

The group sat around and waited. There was nothing much else to be done.

Okay, so, here's the Neptune info I promised.

Posted Image

This map seems to say that Neptune is important since it's suggesting to make a sacrifice to him. This conflicts with Kristoff's note.

We found this map early on, and after we took the boat ride we tried to head to the northeast part in a search for Neptune. We made it to room 7342, and tried to go north from there into a locked room. Angela used a key on it but as soon as she used it, the door got re-locked and we couldn't unlock it anymore. We later found out this re-locking sonofabitch was Parker. We're still curious to this day whether that locked room actually held anything related to Neptune, and we never got to find out since we didn't find any more keys.

Anyway, this is my theory: the note has to do with one of the guardians, and they can be found where Neptune resides. Perhaps Neptune did something to them, which is why they said not to trust them, like Maria suggested last phase.

The reason I say this is, one of the parchments refers to Virgil. We also received a parchment, which talks about an ultimate treasure, which we believe to be the sword. So I think there may be a parchment for each guardian and the sword.

There was a clicking noise as the floor descended into the red staircase once more. Balagor was sat at the bottom solemnly as he climbed up to meet the waiting group. Airlea's eyes caught something else at the base of the stairs as he made the climb. She wasn't alone in that. The group moved over to take a look at the grisly still figure lying there motionless. A bloody corpse.

TIME TRAVELED TO THE PAST.

Mark stood in the middle of the room as everybody stood by. Angela's body on the floor was beginning to frost over in the cold. The blood was drying slightly and she retained the look of horror on her face. All in all it was a gruesome sight. Next to her, Balgor's frozen body lay silently too.

So much death...but it was time to move on.

Mark focused and suddenly the world around was a swirling mass of a violet and black tunnel. He felt himself be hoisted across in all directions, watching his body as it shaped and danced in different ways. Finally, the sensation stopped and he was stood on the ground again. The bodies were completely gone.

Around him the others all began to materialise. The room they were stood in was a standard size with exits to the North and South. A staircase ascended in the middle of the room, leading up to a sealed chamber. The room had a creepy aura to it with a few candles dotted along the staircase and a couple of skulls but overall it was silent and peaceful.

It was also colourless. The group looked down at themselves as their bodies and hands moved through the black and white air, making a swirling motion on everything they touched. Time was moving slowly here, except for each of them.

Room 5393* (future)

Balagor walked through the Southern exit of the room. It was a standard sized metal room, airy in its own right but no bigger than most of the rooms around here. It was also intensely cold. Balagor huddled up to himself in spite of his muscular form. The cold was biting.

The room was a rocky cavern but it had frozen over. Icicles hung from the roof overhead and dripped down slowly onto the floor below. Huge sheets of the stuff were covering every surface. It was a strange diversion from the usual metal rooms around here. In spite of everything, Balagor enjoyed that at least. He had never been a big fan of the metal and the strawberry frap filled future.

There was a noise that caught his eye though suddenly. He swirled around to the North as the door swung open. The doors were set into the icy rock wall. It opened rather slowly, creaking free as it did.

"Who goes there?!" He said, expecting a fight. He lowered his guard when he saw.

Walton stepped through into the room from the North, shielding himself from the icy coldness. His breath caught in the air.

"Balagor!" He said.

Balagor grinned and cracked his neck to try and stop it freezing over.

"Good to see you again!" He said, walking forth to meet partway.

*Click*

Balagor stopped suddenly to look down as something below his foot was caught. There was a pressurised slab on the cave floor. He looked up and around as the icicles began to rumble and cracked his neck again.

"Get back by the door Walton!" He urged. Walton looked open mouthed but Balagor just shook his head.

"I got this. Go back to the door. I've faced worse than this."

Walton nodded and dashed back to the door frame where it was relatively warmer in comparison to the rest of the room. A blizzard was coming down from above now. It was growing in intensity. Balagor flexed his muscles and stood upright. A little cold wouldn't stop him.

It began to get fiercer though. Walton was huddled up by the door, looking up as he noticed a mechanical fan swirling around. There were giant cooling systems embedded in the walls all over the room and they had been fired up into full force.

"Get over here!" Walton urged as Balagor shook his head and called out above the ferocity of the blizzard.

"Don't wanna risk crashing down the roof!" He said. The icicles above were teetering very unsteadily in the storm. Balagor stood his ground and gritted his teeth.

"IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO?!" He roared out. Letting out a warcry at the top of his lungs he held ground as the intensity increased. Walton pressed the door release frantically, opening up the room to the North as the others stood by and saw the figure in the middle of the room get buffeted by the ice and the snow.

"We need to help!" Shouted Brie but it was too late. The storm was too intense. The air was impenetrable now. Nonetheless, some of them moved forth. The door to the South opened wide now and more people were stood watching in horror.

Boone scuttled across the floor as the snow stuck to his fur and blew it in all directions. He was joined by Mark and Marek. From the South side of the room Maria, Andrael and Peter dashed in to assist the figure in the middle of the room.

Then a huge shadow lurched out of the blizzard as Stonehard Lee thudded across. The icicles shook with each stomp but they didn't fall. He ran over and shielded Balagor but the icy winds were dying down. It was already too late.

The air slowly cleared as more people came through. Angela, Frederick and General Chuikov walked through. Rita came next, waving to the group at the North. Airlea stood silently by as the crowd gathered around the middle of the room. Hobert winced and thought he saw Wilt but...he was different somehow.

"It's Urk." Said Brie bitterly.

The others came through too. The group from the North saw Dern but helmetless and very much feminine in all aspects. Tyrese and Brittany walked in alongside Dennis and Eleanor came down from the North. Sophia joined the group followed by the final figure.

Kristoff stood in the ice by where the crowd was and looked over. Balagor was lying on the floor, unable to see much of anything. His body was covered in ice and snow and his teeth chattered.

"G---g-good t-to s-see y-y-you all ag-again..."

He began.

"D-don't....w-w-worry about m-me. I'm g-g-gonna just r-rest up a b-b-bit."

"Hang in there!" Urged Lee.

"I-I owe W-Willis s-s-somethin'." Said Balagor with a smile. "M-m-make sure h-he gets w-what's c-c-coming to h-him okay?"

And with that he fell deathly silent. Boone lifted up a necklace strewn with fingers and placed it gently on Balagor's chest with a sadness in his eyes. The group shivered in silence for some time before Kristoff finally coughed to break it.

"I think we have some catching up to do." He said, looking over at the towering figure of Lee. Lee nodded.

"Let's get started then." He said smiling and rubbing his head.

The group were talking a lot. There was a lot to catch up on.

"I like to talk!" Said Angela.

"It's been too qui-"

A muffled sound blasted through the air. It was the sound of silent gunfire.

Angela reached down to her stomach with her hands and looked on as blood pulsed up through her fingertips. Her eyes widened in terror as she looked around the room. Everybody was just standing there talking as the sounds of their voices rang quietly through in the distance.

"Angela...?" Said a voice from the crowd.

The talking died down into silence as Angela coughed up blood. It rolled down her chin. She looked down, hands still shaking and then back up at the crowd. So many faces looking concerned. No sign of anybody acting strangely. No sign of much at all...no sign of...

"ANGELA!" Shouted Lee as she fell down to her knees.

And then she collapsed on the icy floor. Blood trickled out around her body as she died.

Tyrese moved towards the Northern exit. He had a point to prove and he was going to do it. As he started to push on the door, the colour began to seep back into the world around him. The room became tinged with shades of red. Time to move on. He gave a firm shove and stepped out into the cold.

The room he was now stood in wasn't like a room at all. It was airy and open. He was standing on a muddy bank that led out onto a vast lake to the North. A rotted wooden dock extended outwards onto the water, with a fishing pole resting firmly on the end. The muddy bank was twice the width of a standard room with the exit he'd just come from at the South on the Western side, and another exit leading into a high wall on the far East.

The waters were turbulent. They splashed over the side of the dock as they were hit by a foul wind. High up above, there was still a ceiling but dark clouds were formed below it. They rumbled with thunder and lightning struck out amidst heavy rainfall that showed no signs of ceasing. It was raining inside the Labyrinth. Tyrese stayed back against the wall to get out of the worst of it but it was no use. There was no shelter here. The lake extended outwards in all directions. The dark air made it impossible to see too far.

At the side of the ground, battered by the rain and starting to decay was a body. It was badly torn to shreds. Once it had been Wilt Silverstone. The rain ran down washing over his pale remains. The other group members all followed suit and entered out onto the damp, muddy ground. Tyrese turned to face them and noticed the chalk markings on the wall. They read:

"41: E
E HEAL"

The group stood around quietly, windswept and battered by the rain. They didn't want to stay here too long.

Tyrese moved towards the East as the wind swept over him and battered his body with lashings of rain from the storm overhead. He pushed the door, glad to get in out of the worst of it as thunder rumbled overhead and lightning struck the end of the wooden dock. Wilt's body was teetering this way and that by the time he and all the others finally came through into shelter.

It was sparse shelter but it was enough. The spray of the storm was still filling the air from the East. Kristoff strolled up the long corridor and glanced across. The platform they were stood on was twice the length of a standard room, with an exit at the far South. The one they'd come in from was at the Southern side of the room. As he moved to the Northern side he felt a warmth creep over him.

There was a heated pool in the middle which was steaming. The water was green and bubbling with a very inviting look to it. He shrugged it off and stepped further North to the very top of the corridor. The Eastern wall gave way at the Northernmost side, revealing another platform off to the East, extending the width of a standard sized room across. He backed against the wall, bracing himself as rain and spray from water lashed in. The storm was still raging out there.

Helm overtook his position and looked back.

"May I? I'm quite curious."

Kristoff shrugged and looked on as Helm stepped out beyond the Eastern wall. The extended platform was a stone bridge, high above the turbulent waters. The waves occasionally lapped at the side of the bridge, sending the misty green waters upwards as they went. Rain came down heavily still with the rumble of thunder in the clouds above punctuated by more lightning flashes. The winds were intense but Helm braced herself bravely and walked to the end of the bridge. It led across to a high stone wall with another door set into it.

She dashed back over, satisfied for the moment with exploration. The rain soaked through her usually formally tied hair which was hanging loose.

"The rain is....quite unpleasant." She confirmed to the group at large.

Tyrese walked South into a standard sized room. The floor below was stony and narrow. The walkway here covered approximately a third of the total room width. The rest was covered by a mass of black water. It was impossible to see into the murky depths. He crouched down and scooped up some of the water in hand, dutifully and let it drip beneath his fingers. The water was still dark and inky as it came out.

The rest of the large group milled in behind him and stood carefully on the narrow walkway. Together they took up a good portion of it, making space something of an issue. But at this point they were getting used to that. All eyes were on the depths, staring curiously into them.

There was ambient lighting coming from above. The source wasn't visible but it meant that the room was bathed in a creepy glow. The depths were unmeasurable. Sophia looked around for a rock to throw but shrugged and gave up. Stony arches led up from the water to hold the ceiling in place. That itself was sloped, getting lower as the room veered to the West. She wondered if that carried on deep below the pool as well. The ceiling did submerge beneath.

The group stood silently and took it all in, pausing to catch their breath before discussing the next plan of action.

Walton took a step back from the group and breathed out slowly and carefully. The water beneath was deep and black but he was going to do this thing. He carefully unbuttoned his shirt and tie, already bedraggled by the exposure to the Labyrinth and crept to the water's edge. He stretched his arms out in front of him, took two circular motions and paused. Taking a moment to place his glasses in his pocket, he blinked and went back to doing what he was doing before.

Then he jumped high into the air. His dive failed, mid-jump as he landed with a splash in the water. He emerged and took a deep breath, splashing in the inky blackness a little before treading water to the side of the pool. Then he placed his arm on the side, raised his feet and kicked off with everything he had.

He disappeared beneath the surface. It was impossible to see into the water.

Quote
There was a tremendous splash from the water. Walton's head broke the surface as he gasped for air. He shook his head, treading black water frantically as he coughed and spluttered. Lee reached over an enormous arm and Walton gladly took it. He was pulled to the surface where he sprawled out on the ground, breathing heavily.

After a few moments he crawled across to his pile of damp clothes and began to replace them, pulling the steamed up glasses out of his pocket and placing them back on. He took a deep breath and turned to face the group, water dripping from him as he did.

Walton got the sword!

Tyrese stormed past the water and towards the Southern exit. He was pissed off and not afraid to show it. He flexed his arms and pushed the Southern door hard and fast, storming through as it swung open wide. The sooner he could get through the better.

The room he stepped out into was twice the width of a standard room. A light green hue hung in the air as he stepped across the floor. There was a door to the fast East and another to the South on the Eastern side. The door he'd just stepped through was on the Western side and there was another exit to the West. Near that exit was a stone face resembling an old man with windswept hair. Its mouth was open wide and it clutched at the shaggy mane with a curved palm.

Somebody had written in chalk on the wall here. It read: "10 W". Tyrese shrugged it off and set about storming towards the East of the room, trying to get as far away from the door as possible. As he did he paused for thought when he came across the trail of dried blood on the floor. There was quite a lot of it. It moved all the way to the Eastern wall where there was more scattered across the surface. And lots of holes for...

There was a clink noise suddenly as a set of razor sharp spikes emerged from the wall. Tyrese braced himself, knowing what was coming. Suddenly he was swept off his feet by the face on the West as it blasted forth a tremendous rush of air from the open mouth. He felt himself flying towards the spikes as he tried to clutch out and grab onto some railings by the wall. It was no use.

There was a thunk and a fleshy sound as the back of his arm was embedded in the spiked wall. He tried to crawl forward but the pain was intense and so was the gale that blew at him. Finally the wind ceased entirely and Tyrese was stuck by the wall. There was a thunk followed by an equally sickening fleshy sound as the spiked fell back into the wall. Tyrese staggered forth, bleeding from his back as he collapsed on the floor.

He was laying there as people clustered into the room.

"Are you okay?" Came a voice from the crowd. It was hard to make them out. The pain was intense.

"Like any of you care." Said Tyrese snarling. He spat at the floor and pulled himself upright, moving to the corner where he could sit in solitude.

The group were sitting around, discussing as things got quite heated. Tyrese and Mark were at each other's throats.

"All I want is to be given a fucking chance. I'm sick of all this scum scum scum talk. Just take me along for the ride and be done with it."

Mark scowled. Maria rushed into the fray and tried to calm things down.

"The fighting will get us nowhere!" She declared. "We have to work together."

Tyrese snarled.

"Tell that to him. Stick it as your flickbook status. It's the only way he'll ever fucking listen."

The group were weary. The fighting had gone on for a long time.

"We need to lynch him. It's only a matter of time before he gets us!" Mark announced. There was a murmur of agreement from a couple but mostly everybody was staying silent.

"Come and lynch me then!" Said Tyrese "I'll do it myself if it makes things easier!"

Mark sighed and looked around.

"We should do this. Let's vote and take action. We need to make sure it's-"

Suddenly the room filled with a very bright light. Mark shielded his eyes and so did Tyrese and all the others. This overcame all arguments. The light was intense but it was beautiful at the same time. There was something...soothing about it. For a moment, Tyrese forgot what he was yelling about. Mark rubbed his head awkwardly. Nothing seemed so bad in the light that was shining.

"It's....so beautiful..." Said Maria, open-mouthed. It was blinding but it filled their hearts with joy.

In the distance a melodic sound played out. A peaceful and joyful anthem that washed over the room and filled each of their essences with happiness and peace. It spoke of home...it spoke of things they'd long ago forgotten. Boone felt calls to discovery but also calls to the wild and he envisioned tall trees and swinging on the branches with a smiling bunny below. Helm was back home...long before all this could happen and with Dern...Tyrese pictured himself standing there with his wife in arm...just like the old times. Lee glanced around him and saw the mountains of home with his clan...healthy and alive and well. He had returned a hero.

Maria was back saving the world with her friend Clara on hand. And Mark was so...so underground....everybody was watching his video blog. Everybody. Kristoff felt himself holding the staff up high and twirling around the room with it in arm. Brie looked out into the distance and saw a dashing young knight with a glint in his eye.

The room fell blissfully silent as the sounds washed over them all and they soaked up the visions of everything they loved and held so dear. There was a sobbing noise that cut through the tranquility. Brie sniffed as she absorbed what she'd seen. Some of the others were cyring too. Even Tyrese had a tear in his misty eye that rolled down his cheek and fell to the floor.

The music slowly died away and the people were left in abject silence. The harmony had swept over them in a flash, and would soon be gone again. But for now...for this very single second everything felt so right and wonderful with the world. They enjoyed it for that briefest of moments and all wills to fight were cut short. Nobody wanted to hurt anybody. Their hearts just wouldn't be in it.

Tyrese can no longer be lynched this phase.

Tyrese pushed open the Southern door. He was feeling so much calmer after...after whatever that was back there. It was refreshing. He stepped out into the great beyond feeling full of life when without warning he was suddenly surrounded by death.

The floor beneath his feet was covered in skulls. Human skulls. They were piled up all over the room and they crunched beneath his feet as he walked. The room was a standard size with an exit to the North and South and a sinister looking cave to the East. The cave was built out of the skulls. Something was stirring in there so Tyrese kept his distance.

From the entrance to the cave across the floor was a broken wire. It had been snapped by something and there were more skulls disturbed and shattered around it. But in amongst the wreckage was something else entirely. It wasn't a skull...not yet...but it was decayed. It was the remains of a human head that had rotted quite horribly.

"That would be Tyron" Said Rita, sniffing back a tear.

Tyron was grinning up even in death. The rest of his decayed remains were laying in shattered pieces all around the room. There was dried blood across several of the skulls too. Marek lurched forth slightly drunkenly and nodded solemnly.

"May he forever exit North in peace." He said mournfully.

Tyrese continued his journey Southwards. It took him into another standard sized room with exits to the East and West. He moved out across the floor and searched his surroundings. The first thing he noticed was the chalk message on the wall. It read:
"8 N"

It was hard to see because the room was so dark. The darkness was punctuated by the occasional flicker of light from torches around the walls but it was very very faint. Just South of the Northern exit was a basin atop a series of stone steps. Tyrese was glancing over at it when somebody rushed in from behind.

"A bath!" Shouted Brittany excitedly as she ran over to the water.

Boone raised his hand to speak but shook his head as Brittany splashed some water all over her face happily. Behind him came the others with Marek on hand to provide vast quantities of moonshine. Tyrese was still exploring for the moment. There was a sign at the wall beneath the basin that had a message engraved on it.

"Herein lies the magic of the seers. Go to the water and speak of a place. That place shall be revealed to you."

Brittany shrugged and climbed down the steps. The water didn't seem to be hugely disturbed as it flickered and flowed in mysterious patterns.

"Everybody ready for the ride?" Said Mark looking around. There were some nods of approval.

Urk grabbed Frederick and held him firmly in place.

"Now we are!" He said happily.

Mark nodded and focused. It was time to do this. All around purple sparks danced through the air, twisting and turning and pooling all over him until with a bright flash, everything changed. He was now travelling through a twisting purple spiral of light. It pulsated with black and blue as he was moved in all directions. Others were aware of it too, and as they looked down their hands began to shift and change, moving through time at a different rate.

The journey was disorienting but when it finally came to a stop, the group were all stood in a room exactly the same size and they didn't feel particularly out of place. The room was the same size with everything in the same place exit-wise. More or less. The chalk on the wall was still there displaying "8N", but beneath it somebody had scrawled "επανιδείν!".

The Western and Eastern exits were still visible. The air danced and flickered. This was a world devoid of colour. It only appeared where people reached out and touched things. Time wasn't moving at the right speed anymore. In the middle of the room was a metal device with two cannisters beneath it. There was a nozzle at the top of a barrel above the cannisters attached to a swivel mechanism. The entrances of both doors had pressure plates beneath them but right now it was all still and harmless.

And at the side of it was a steel supply crate that was laying firmly on the ground. Mark walked over to it and stopped, gasping for breath suddenly.

"What is it?" Said Boone, sniffing the air and turning to see. His jaw opened wide. The group stood and gazed Northwards in admiration and horror.

There was no Northern exit here nor a Northern wall. There was a low metal balcony, and beneath that a wide expanse of room. A huge mass of floor lined by black metal with grim yellow lighting on each of the walls shining down to illuminate the display in an eerie colour. Black shapes dotted about the ground below, but they weren't moving. They were dead and torn to pieces. And in the middle of it all stood the tower.

It was an enormous circular structure that extended up to the sky, far above where they could physically see. It was so close that they felt they could touch it. The walls were highlighted in an eerie purple glow. Occasionally sparks danced down the surface and Earthed themselves in the metal floor below. It was hard to tell how wide the whole area was but it was wider than any single room they'd come across so far. An exit could be made out to the West of the structure but the tower was obscuring the view of anything else.

The group sat and stared. It was breath-taking and yet the mere sight of it made them all shiver inside. On the edge of hearing a voice was whispering out.

It is now Phase 50. Phase 50 will end in roughly 5 hours from now.

The group relationship had been soured somewhat, but everybody said reluctant and feigned goodbyes in the harsh purple glow of the ominous tower. Tyrese shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the exit. He'd felt like a dead man walking for a long time now anyway. He pressed the door release and moved on into his new fate.

The room beyond was bright red. The black metal floor was lit red by the ambient lighting around the room but the red hue was disturbed slightly by the purple hue of the tower. The tower stood North of the room, beneath a large balcony. The room he was stood in was twice the width of a standard room with exits to the East and West. He walked across the black floor, hoping to catch a glimpse of more of the tower structure but the mass of stone was blocking his view to the North completely. Oh well.

As he walked over towards the Eastern exit, he paused momentarily. He was stood on the Eastern side of the room when he saw it. There was a metal door like all the other exits, but it had no door release. He placed his hands gently on it as the others started to walk into the room. He was tailed by Andrael, Boone, Brie, Helm, Marek, Maria, Rita, Lee, Urk and Walton. Just as planned. He stepped back as Boone walked over, placing a monkey paw on the door. It wouldn't budge.

"Interesting. A doooOr with no way inside." He stood and rubbed his chin as he pondered on it for a little longer.

At that moment there was a whirring noise. Tyrese turned to the Western side of the room and looked on as the floor beneath opened out. There was a red staircase leading down and a door at the bottom. The door slid open and bathed him in red light.

Then, like a flash, he was lifted from his feet. He was calling out as the light dragged him down towards the red staircase. The rest of his group gathered around and watched with Lee reaching out to take his hand but it was too late. Tyrese slid down the stairs and fell into the red light at the bottom. The door sealed shut and the floor slid closed, leaving nothing but solid black metal in it's wake.
