With a shove, Rhea was hoisted through the Southern door forcefully. She rubbed her back miserably which was probably the most she'd done in a while. Hazily she took in her surroundings through tired eyes.
The room was small, about standard size. There was another door to the South. The walls of this room were made of solid stone slabs. They were very secure and covered with a strange damp. Moss grew on the surface and covered the muddy floor. To this extent it looked similar to the floor of the room they'd just left.
Rhea walked across the floor and stared across at the Eastern wall. There was a small circular hole cut into it. She stood watching thoughtfully as the floor began to rumble, dodging back against the Western wall for security, she looked on at the hole with care. Something was coming out of it. Overhead, two smaller slits watched like angry eyes set in a face. The hole in this case would be the mouth.
Suddenly her view was caked in blue. She let out a scream of terror as the jet of water blasted out and headed straight for her. It was too late to dodge though, the fear was quite extreme. The jet-stream careened into her body. It carried with it an extreme force that was inescapable. Her body felt flattened against the hard stone wall as every bone ached from the onslaught of water. The door opened amidst screaming and the group dashed in to investigate, standing well back from the jet.
Finally, it ebbed into a trickle which ran underfoot and then vanished entirely with nothing but the smell of damp. Rhea's drenched body tumbled to the floor. Covered in mud, weak and limp, she lay there still weary. Her eyes shot back up to the group as she attempted to get to her feet. This failed miserably as she collapsed once more in the mud.
Dern and Peter ran across to aid her and she just about managed to stand upright. She was alive, but she didn't look particularly well.
It is now Phase 20. Phase 20 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

There was another carefully placed shove. Dern found himself feeling a tad guilty as he watched Rhea topple into the room beyond. There was a silence for the longest time. Looking around at his companions wearily, he shrugged. If she was dead then...maybe the path was clear. That was a horrible thought when you came to consider this. He shuddered as the group made for the South exit and entered unknown territory.
They reached a small stone room that was basked in a hue of aquamarine. Rhea was nowhere to be seen. That was troubling. The walls in here were plain as could be. Solid stone which rippled and changed ever so subtly with the light. The cause of that was the source of the glow. Against the Western wall was a circular doorway. It was wide open and enormous, set firmly in place. Its surface was no material, instead a strange rippling energy.
The energy flowed and danced around as if like water, but it was impossible to see past it. A portal to the future? That seemed the most likely candidate. But those were...
Maria shook her head, speaking the unspoken thoughts of the group.
"The portals through time were always purple. This is the first green one."
Dern fancied it was more blue than green but he nodded his approval. The question was, where had Rhea gone to and did they dare cross beyond into the unknown?
"Hello?"
The voice was faint and muffled but...was that Rhea? Airlea and Katy moved over to the swirling vortex carefully and both called out. There was a faint response. She was on the other side of the...?
The voice was hard to hear. It traveled through the strange matter like sound through water. With a bit more clarity, but strange nonetheless.
"It pulled me through."
Dern rubbed his chin thoughtfully and gave a shrug. Sometimes bravery was a worthy cause. There was only so much they could avoid the unknown. He strode forth past the shocked onlookers and stepped into the swirling mass. His body disappeared completely from view.
There was a silence for a time as the group looked past in horror.
"Step through."
The re-assuring voice was Dern's. Ajax gave a shrug and clambered into the material. General Chuikov, Balagor and Dennis quickly followed. Andrael smiled and shrugged. It must be safe. He went through to join the others.
Kristoff watched as all the others around him slowly dispersed. Finally it was just him, Airlea, Genevieve and Brittany left. Genevieve stepped through daintily, taking care to raise her dress as she crossed the threshold. Brittany shrugged and shook her head.
"I'm not going in that icky wet stuff!" She declared. Airlea sighed and clambered over. Kristoff stood looking at it eternally before he shut his eyes, muttered something and jumped over.
He emerged into a room that was....completely identical to the last one. But it was disorienting. There were no exits North and South, there was one to the West where he'd just clambered through. But over the door it said...
"East." Said Dern helpfully.
Kristoff scratched his head.
"But that way is West."
Dern considered things carefully and then strode back through the portal. Brittany shrieked and jumped back.
"Stay back monster!" She yelled as Dern shook his head re-assuringly.
"It's fine." He offered. Brittany was not convinced. Slowly the others joined him as they clambered back through into the starting room. Surely enough, they looked at the doorways. The Northern door had "North" etched on it and the Southern door had "South" etched on it. The door on the other side of the water door...which should have been West said..."East".
The group sat down, trying to take it all in.
It is now Phase 21. Phase 21 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Genevieve walked through the portal boldly. The room did the strange shift once more. The door clearly said East so...assuming it was the Eastern exit...that would put...
She pointed North...at least to where the new North would be.
"Confusing...but I assume this way is North." She said formally as Dern arrived behind her with a salute.
"It is, my Queen. But don't be too hasty."
He pulled Rhea along with him. She wasn't protesting much, she didn't appear to be around at all. He hoisted her by the doorframe and waited for the others. They came through the portal too. Finally Brittany appeared with a shriek. Ajax and Peter walked out from behind her and shrugged. She needed a little push.
"That was fun!" She shrieked in a voice that shattered ear drums.
"Alright, time to keep moving." Said Balagor. The group nodded and pushed Rhea towards the "East". She began to protest suddenly and hold herself back.
"I don't want to go first again! I have to..." She paused. There was a noise coming from the door.
"We'll work it out next room." Said Kristoff shrugging. Finally Rhea miserably pushed the door and stepped into the unknown.
The room beyond was a deep red, but that's not what she saw. She saw black. It was approaching very quickly, and there didn't seem to be a way to avoid it. The players in the room to the West gasped as they saw it too but it was too late. Two silver daggers with skulls on the handles arced through the air and sliced through flesh. The motion was so fast, it was almost a blur. And Rhea fell to the floor, bleeding all over. She writhed there in the doorway of the Eastern room for a time before coming to a silent stop.
"Frieeeeeeeenddddssssssssss mussssssssstt desssttroyyyyyy" Said the creature.
The group finally got a good look at it. It was a tall figure, humanoid but with rotting flesh and jutting bones. It was more skeleton now than anything. It wore pitch black armour and a waving black cape flowed behind it. The armour had a belt at the front with the initials "DV" emblazoned on them. The same initials were present on the silver daggers, beneath the skull.
The figure glared at the group, it's empty eye sockets glowing purple. Then it dived like a locomotive, moving without adjusting its limbs at all. As it dived forth into the throng of people, it raised the two daggers menacingly.
"Ooooooour misssssssssssssssssion." It hissed. It looked around at the group and let out a blood-curdling scream. All that could be seen in the mouth beyond was purple light.
"GO. NOW!" Ajax screamed above the din.
The figure had frozen them all in place but if they ran...the door was open. They each dived into the Eastern room and slammed the door behind them. Beyond the Western door was another blood-curdling scream.
"What was that thing?!" Said Brittany in tears.
Genevieve sighed and took in her surroundings. This room was blood red, quite fitting really. A spiral staircase seemed to move upwards into the unknown. The staircase had two skulls at the base. Peter tended to Rhea's body. Blood was everywhere. He shook his head miserably. She was dead now.
But Airlea had her attention elsewhere. There was a hooded figure at the top of the stairs. Pai Chan stood next to her and assumed a defensive pose. The Queen stood by nervously.
The hood lowered and the group saw a man with a thick black beard. His hair was long and flowing and just as black. He grinned down at the assembled group from over his brown cape.
"You've come very far, but now it's time to play the game on my terms." He spoke. His voice boomed out to the room somehow.
"The one with the crown. As your friend down there has sadly, met her demise somehow," he pointed to Rhea's corpse, "I believe you were the first over the threshold. Naturally then you shall follow me. You have no choice in the matter though."
With that he raised his arms. Red energy beamed around Genevieve's body and she felt herself being lifted through the air. She was raised slowly towards the robed man and then placed onto the stairs, which she was climbing, seemingly against her will.
"Do not try to follow. It is sealed. She will be back with you shortly I dare say."
"Who are you?" Said Kristoff, looking shiftily at the man.
"My name is Willis. Why are so many of you ignorant of the place? The fat king really does choose fools for his errands. No matter. You will soon be expired fools."
He disappeared in a flash of Red. Genevieve rounded the corner and disappeared from sight too. Ajax dashed up the stairs but there was an audible slam. A barred red door was at the top with no way through. He couldn't hear anything in the chamber beyond.
He clambered back down with a sigh and shook his head.

There was a yelp of pain from the centre of the room. The group turned to look as Brittany slumped to the floor. Her eyes were cold as she looked down. She was bleeding.
She let out a horrendous scream of pain as she sobbed on the floor. Quickly, some of the group rushed over to tend to her. There was no sign of where the wound had come from.
"What happened?" Ajax asked, curiously. Brittany just continued to sob. She clearly had no idea.
There was a rumble from up above as Queen Genevieve toppled through the doorway. She landed with a thud against the wall as the door once more bolted shut. Dern rushed up to assist her as she blinked and took in the room below. It was the same as when she had left. Rhea's corpse was sat against the doorway to the West, looking ominous. She clambered to the foot of the stairs with Dern's help.
It is now Phase 22. Phase 22 will end in roughly 4 hours from now.

Tyrese marched boldly to the Northern door. It was probably safe anyway. Still, the fear unnerved him. After all, who could trust anything in this place? Briefly a memory of Rhea falling after the skeletal monstrosity charged forth flashed to mind. No...best not to worry about that. Time to press on.
He nodded solemnly to the group, stretched his muscular arms as he always used to before training and he pushed the door firmly and with purpose. It gave way to a room beyond.
This room was covered in a black stone floor, patterned with occasional shades of white. It was twice as long as a normal room, extending far to the North where a door with a lock stood in his path. There was another exit to the East, jutting out on the Southern side of the room.
But the middle of the floor was the most captivating part. There were treasure chests. And not just a few. This was a veritable hoard. He walked over to the boxes mesmerised as the group beyond moved forth. There was a shriek of joy from Brittany who was recovering well.
"Treasure treasure treasure treasure!" She said excitedly. The group stood back and looked as Tyrese joined them nodding.
Slowly and carefully, Dennis did a mental count and reported his discovery.
"Sixteen." He said in awe. "There are sixteen chests."
The group looked at them all with wonder in their eyes. Sixteen? If each contained something then...that was a lot of wealth...
But now was not the time to think about such things. What they really needed was something useful. Each box was a slightly different shade and none of them contained a visible lock.
It is now Phase 23. Phase 23 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Andrael marched over to the Eastern exit. The chests had strayed them far from peace and understanding, but the power of the gods be good, he would lead on this time and they would bless his descent. He placed his palms gently on the Eastern door. He was not a man to rush things. He tossed his robes around him carefully and waited a moment longer before pushing through.
"Paradiso guide me." He said as he walked into the candlelit room.
It was dusty in here. This place hadn't been used in a while. The room was about the standard size. A desk stood against the Northern wall, illuminated with a small candle. He walked over to the desk and glanced down. It was covered in burned paper. Nothing useable, nothing legible. Whoever had been here was not fond of people reading their thoughts.
He opened each of the desk drawers with care, remembering the power of explosive magic carefully. They were all empty save for a few scraps and what appeared to be a rotten apple core. He tossed it aside as his hand touched something useable. It was a long piece of rope, coiled around itself. He placed it on the floor, carefully.
Turning around he moved towards the bed on the Southern wall. It had not been used in a while. It too was covered in dust and mould. He reached down beneath it and found a chest below. Pulling it out carefully, he dusted it off. The chest was not locked. The group milled into the room after him and he gave them a solemn nod.
"The gods have gifted us with tools." He spoke with a smile.
It is now Phase 24. Phase 24 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Helm glanced around the room. It was probably time to move on. She nodded over to the group and took the lead, striking off through the Western exit and into the previous room. No hesitation was shown, and quickly Arimnestos, Sophia, Airlea, and the rest filed in behind Helm one after the other.
The chest room was completely unchanged, and remained in the same state they had left it - thoroughly ransacked. Still, Balagor made a round of the chests just to be sure no new items were laying around. He noticed Maria and Kristoff giving him the stink eye as he did so. Balagor stopped at the remains of the exploded Golden chest and shrugged.
"Just checking, friends."
He laughed and walked to the Northern exit to mess with the lock on the door. He stuck his fingertip into the keyhole and wiggled it around before turning to face the group with a shrug.
It is now Phase 25. Phase 25 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Katy walked towards the Northern door, glancing back nervously. She wanted to be brave...mostly for them. She looked at young Hobert and remembered their little faces. No...best not...they were with her always. She closed her eyes and pushed the stone door. The unknown was scary but she would do it for them.
The room beyond was standard sized with exits on the Northern, Eastern and Southern side. In the middle of it stood a very tall statue. The room itself extended upwards into a sort of stone, circular chimney. An iron panel rested at the top. Katy looked up at it. That was very high, and very foreboding. The statue towered over her, looking on but she wouldn't be afraid. She took another step forth and felt a clunk underfoot.
A tile had sunk in slightly. She shivered as it sent a cold chill down her spine. At that moment however, the heat began to rise. She looked up as the iron panel slowly and carefully moved aside. Behind it blazed an intensely bright light. It carried the full force of the sun but it was hotter. It was hotter than the old summer suns she remembered from above ground. She began to sweat profusely.
"I will survive this for...them..." She said as the beads of sweat pooled beneath her. At that moment the temperature rose. She let out a shriek as it burned into her and began to singe her skin. Falling to the ground weakly, she still resisted the rising heat. Behind her the door stirred as her skin began to turn red under the boiling intensity.
The group stood in the open doorway and gasped, shielding themselves from the heat and the light. Finally the iron panel moved backwards and with a "clunk", fell into place. Katy looked over at the group from her position on the floor and fell forward. Her skin was red raw. Her hands and her face were scorched. She breathed slowly and carefully.
"I....." She started as Hobert scuttled over.
"I'll be...okay...." She murmured. She stood upright and slunk towards the group before sinking back to the floor. It ached to do anything but she would press on.

The group sat and waited as Dennis floated down from above the iron panel. He landed quite firmly on the ground. Crouched by where Airlea sat, Ajax opened his eyes and groaned, shifting himself into an upright position.
"...I miss anything?" He asked groggily.
The rest waited patiently.
It is now Phase 27. Phase 27 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Ajax marched up to the Northern door. He had a determined luck on his face. If the gods wanted to test him, so be it. He would take their challenge. He turned back to the group. There was fear in his expression but he gave a solemn nod and glared at the door in front. He'd faced worse. With a hefty push, it opened wide.
The room beyond was tranquil and warm. Not overly hot though. The temperature was very pleasant. It was also incredibly scenic. He stood on a small platform overlooking two enormous pools in stone basins. Mist filled the air as the green water rippled. Ambient light glinted off the surface and Ajax allowed himself a deep breath. He recalled bathing in the lake...all that time ago. How much they'd seen and been through since those days before the Labyrinth.
But for now they were here. There was a task to perform. The room had only one exit, the one he'd come through. And it was nothing special in terms of size. The platform he stood on ended about a third of the way across and a narrow wooden bridge crossed over the pools. The wooden planking bobbed up and down on the ripples slightly. The reflections of the water bounced all across the rooms. It smelled of the ocean.
The walls were themselves quite marvelous. They were covered in mosaics and tapestries depicting the sea and the ocean floor. Buried treasure lay beneath fish and krakens and the fearsome leviathan. Statues of mermaids and mermen surrounded the walkways along with stone statues of fish.
Finally at the far end of the planking, the stone basin of the pools ended and was replaced with a separate stone canal. The canal was empty. It ran from East to West, small stone grates on either side to allow the water safe passage through. But it was now only damp and green where water had once been. The canal was dried up. Ajax lifted his eyes and took in the vault. It was large and iron. There was some kind of mechanism on the surface which was covered in images of the sea. The planking ran right up to the vault.
He stepped back carefully and watched as the rest of his group entered in, captivated by the beauty of the place.

Tyrese walked across the plank and twisted the combination slowly. Everybody watched with bated breath. There was an audible click and the safe released. He opened it wide, looking on in amazement as Dennis spotted something bubbling in the water. He'd been wary of it for a while. Everybody's eyes shot to the bubbling water anxiously.
"Tyrese, come back." He said without hesitation. Tyrese turned around and saw the water.
At that moment the room began to shake. The once tranquil water became hostile and something was emerging from the depths. Tyrese leaped forth as the wooden planking behind him collapsed down, smashing into the dry stone canal. He dived forth another step, launching himself over the pool.
An enormous purple tentacle burst forth from the water as the group gasped. Another emerged from the other side to join it. Slowly the water filled with dancing tentacles that coiled around and whipped at the air angrily. Water splashed out in all directions as Tyrese used his NBA training to jump and dash like a pro.
There was a tremendous crash as an enormous purple jaw rose from the water and attempted to swallow him whole. The water splashed high, obscuring the vision of everybody on the platform as it chomped through wooden planking. Everybody held their breath.
A shadow of a man emerged in the water, soaring high above where the beast had been. It arced through the air, holding an imaginary ball in its hand. Tyrese crashed down on wooden planking so hard that it almost burst under foot. He gave one final dash and reached the safety of the stone shore.
The devastation behind him slunk away into nothingness and Tyrese sat himself down, exhausted. The beast returned to the depths. All that remained of the wooden planking was sawdust and damp timber. |

Peter stood in the middle of the room as the Queen walked Southwards. So be it, he thought. Better they stick together. He had a job to do here and he wanted to see it through so he could go back home to Katherine. He smiled at the thought and focused on it. Nothing was shifting though.
Was thinking of home not enough? But of course, this time was his home. So he'd need to think of a different time. He had nothing to focus on in that time except...
He concentrated on Willis who was even now threatening his friends and his hopes. That seemed to work. Purple sparks began to pool around him and he smiled. Off they went.
"The past...the future...none of it matters...."
An open portal erupted in the middle of the sparks and Peter stepped into it. The world around him changed into a black and purple vortex as he jumped horizontally through. The passage veered in strange directions and played havoc with his senses but eventually it ceased as he landed with a thud on a metal floor.
He teetered unsteadily. The journey was disorienting. The room around him span a little but he could take in some kind of ropes made of strange material. They were metallic almost. There was a door to the South and the West and the room itself was a standard sized one. The stony canal from the past still ran through, dried up and with no indication of water but the rest of the room had been paved over with the metal flooring.
On the Eastern wall was a huge metal door ringed in yellow paint. It burst open, a light changing from red to green as it did. In its wake, a chariot trundled along the track underneath and came to a screeching halt in the room. Peter was still dizzy as he waltzed over to it. Other group members appeared in flashes around him. He turned to look and lost his footing.
There was a bleeping noise as he looked at the floor below. A ring of blue metal rose around him. He tried to glance over the top but it was taller than him. It took up the middle of the room. The travellers all dodged aside to avoid the rising contraption. The metal cables were moving into it.
Peter blinked, trying to get his wits about him as the device clicked to a silent stop. Then there was a tremendous humming noise and the floor along with the circular walls began to spin around him. The group looked on in horror as the huge disk span and span, gaining momentum and going ever faster.
"Hang in there!" Shouted Dennis as Peter was flung around full bodily in all directions. Eventually it moved so fast that he was thrown to the side and couldn't raise his body from it whatsoever.
The device whirred around for a few minutes before coming to a slow and sudden stop. It didn't sink back into the floor, but the side opened wide. Sophia and Balagor dashed in to help him as he stumbled down.
"I'm fine guys I'll be fine-" He said, taking a step forward. He wound up walking in the opposite direction from what he'd intended.
"Okay this is a bit wierd." He said trying again and falling flat on his face.
He groaned, looking up at the group miserably.
It is now Phase 29. Phase 29 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

I finally have time this week to work on the map a little more, and I just went through the past 5-6 phases and found the most current maps that I had from the different people that have been making them. I was putting them all in one place in my journal so they would be easier to find and thought some of you might like to have them all in one place as well. (if not, just ignore this post ;) )

Hobert walked to the South exit. This was an adventure he was about to take. It was what he'd come here for. It was just like he was going to the Cerulean cave...
Actually bad example. Maybe the Rock Tunnel? Less scary. He had his friends to protect him anyway. He looked down at his assorted pokémon and grinned, waving to the group and setting out. The release gave way and Hobert was stood in an all new room, just like that.
It was a standard sized one that had three exits; one to the North, East and South. There was nothing in it though. That was creepy. The floor was pale white, so pale that it almost glowed. He winced and decided not to look down. Flash attack was far too tricky. He shook it off and walked forth into the room beyond. The walls around him were metallic and covered in strange holes that scattered over their surface. He froze in the middle and turned back around to the door he came through from the North.
"You can come through, it's safe." He confirmed.
The door opened and the others walked in. Hobert sighed. That wasn't too scary at all. Good job really. He leaned against one of the walls to relax when suddenly he felt a rumble.
"Hobert watch out!" Katy shouted as the wall in front of Hobert began to slide forward.
He blinked a couple of times, not quite taking in what was happening. Like a bolt of lightning, he jumped up in the air as he felt the wall behind him slide forward. It was very hard to get footing though. They were sliding too fast.
"I can't do it! Help me!" He shouted. Katy rushed forward as some of the others held her back.
"It's too fast! You can't pull him out."
Katy's face was anguish as the walls closed ever tighter. Brittany shrieked, tears welling from her eyes. Frantically, Ajax was hammering into the wall, looking for something...just anything that might stop this.
Finally there was a scream followed by a sickening crunch. The walls stopped dead for a long time and just hung there, very close together. With a click, they whirred back into action and slid away in the opposite direction. A body fell down to the ground with a thud. Katy immediately rushed over and leaned down to look.
Hobert was motionless, his body bloodied and battered, his bones broken and his clothes torn to shreds. She began to wail uncontrollably. He was so young...
The room fell silent as they looked on at the grisly sight.
It is now Phase 30. Phase 30 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

"What is happening to us?" Helm asked. She looked over and noticed that Arimnestos was there and...
Hobert blinked down at his hands.
Finally the device stopped and Peter fell to the floor with a thud.
"Now I'm even more confused..." He muttered.
It is now Phase 30. Phase 30 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Tyrese revealed a power to see the last death that happened in the labyrinth.

OK So here it is:

Phase 28
There were two stone statues in this room(identical). There was something unsettling about them. The statues eyes glowed red, the heads started to follow Wilt and a red blast shot out from the eyes. Everybody ran, but they all got consumed by this red glow until Wilt fell down and was no longer glowing.
Mark and Wilt's roles were switched after this. Wilt admitted his previous role was that of a scum because that is what Mark now has. Angela wants them to kill Mark. They were in room 7997 when this happened.
Somebody slipped Ezra an orb that detects the nearest monster to frame him. He passed it to Urk and a lot of arguing and people at each others throats (nothing specific specified)
Phase 29
They took the Southern East exit. Room was twice the length of a normal one, they stood on the northern side. Floor was unstable and caved under Wilt. Wilt exited first and he got impaled with sharp barbs (only said his hands did though), Brie's role is common knowledge and he expects her to heal him (flavour showed Brie snarling at Wilt though). Lee helped Wilt up from the barbs.
Two hours later Angela, Boone, Brie, Eleanor, Frederick, Marek, Mark, Rita, Lee, Urk, Walton and Wilt time traveled to the future with the staff.
Ezra, Fong, Kane, Parker and Culo were left behind because the group had discussed potentially killing all of them. Culo's flavour made it sound like he was confused as to why they were left behind.
Parker and Fong are scum. Fong said he was the one who has been giving select people in his group voices. Parker can take the role of a dead person.
Parker started intimidating Culo. He then bumped into Fong who laughed at him. Kane was unconscious, drunk or high. Culo's hatchet was gone. Fong smashed his spectre and they attacked Culo. Ezra joined in finally because of his disdain for Culo (sounds like they butt heads often previously from the flavour).
Culo was killed.
Kane was going to be used as a walking trap activator but then the three ultimately decided to kill him as well because he wouldn't have it.
Phase 30
Ezra blacks out right after the reset, and there was nothing to show for before the reset (he died after the blackout though, so he was not revived with this reset, whereas I think the others have been - nothing was said about how. He could have been killed by Parker and Fong or by the reset). |

Phase 31:

Pai Chan walked sternly towards the West. She had intense training in fear control and knew that it was only a state of mind. Nonetheless she felt it, she just suppressed it until the task was completed. She glanced at the mechanism on the door, not quite knowing what to make of it. In the end she just decided to hit it. That usually did for most things. The door opened with a click.
She stepped out into the room beyond and found an enormous misty chamber. This room was three times the width of a standard one. On the very far Western side, there was a South facing exit and another leading out to the West. The mist came with bodies of water, but this room was nothing like the tranquil lakes she had seen before. The water was putrid and yellowed here. It didn't look like water at all. It smelled of sulphur and the metallic walls gave it all a very drab look.
The water filled the vast portion of the room. Metal gangplanks on either side allowed access to the exits beyond. Pai walked along the Northern gangplank and glanced down. At the very far North of the room, the gangplank dipped down onto a lower metal platform. A dry stone canal ran along it, all the way from the East to the West. The canal contained iron bars either side that were too small for anybody to possibly get through.
In the middle of the putrid yellowed water was an outcrop of rock that stood quite tall. She stared at it for a while as the rest of the group milled it.
"Disgusting!!!" Shrieked Brittany. It did have a particularly foul aroma.
"Why........don't we..........play"
Everybody's eyes shot up immediately. The voice was echoing around the chamber from an unknown source.
"Who goes there?" Asked Ajax, warily.
"You......are in.....my house.....now..........."
"It would....be rude not.....to play......"
My house? That could only be one person.
"We're not playing your games Willis." Said Sophia with a growl.
"You....should there......is something......useful to be....had"
"I...know why.....you travel.....here.......futile effort......but nonetheless....entertaining me.....will be worth it..."
The voice was gravelly and sinister. It almost sounded like two voices in two different tones, merged together. Sometimes the pitch would change midway through speaking and it moved so slow, as if every syllable was a struggle to speak.
"It is....simple......just stay on....the rock for as long......as you dare......."
"The last to stand.....wins......but for the second place.......a lesser prize......the prize of....death."
A metal bridge extended out towards the rocky outcrop.
"Do you....fear death? You......really should.....it will be with you.....soon."
"But......there is no fun....in making it quick....let us play.....while we wait....."
The horrible voice faded into nothing. The group were left staring at the rocky island.
It is now Phase 31. Phase 31 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
Objectives:
Players can choose to take the challenge. Do this by posting ##Take: Challenge. At the 10 hour mark, all players participating will move onto the rocky island. They will lose access to the thread both for viewing and posting. To regain access they will need to post ##Jump in their role thread. They will then jump from the island and return to the rest of the group. The thread will not be re-created, so players will be able to view all of the phase posts they missed upon returning.
When there are only two players left on the island, the first person of the two to jump will be killed. The last person will claim the reward. Players will not be told if any of the others have jumped or not. You may not use any items or roles to communicate with the players on the island.

The group watched the two figures silently as Maria sat and glanced around. Suddenly, Helm stood bolt upright and stretched her arms out. She paused for breath momentarily before jumping off, the rock, arms first into the water. There was a splash as the water flooded upwards and Maria turned to look. She sat silently for a moment until the metal plank emerged once more and she stood upright, crossing back over to the group.
The waters below were still and silent. A few bubbles drifted to the surface and a hand rose out of the water along with them. Katy and Balagor rushed over to pull the hand upwards and Helm emerged from the water with a gasp of air. The murky water dripped from her face and hair but she was otherwise unharmed.
"Is it over?" She inquired. Katy nodded.
"You were very brave. A true knight."
Helm smiled at that and glanced up at Maria.
"I suppose there was nothing to fear after all. It was just a rock."
Balagor nodded and helped Helm climb out of the water. She lifted her knee onto the side and scrambled to get a grip. Maria was a bit more cautious though. She looked across the water and saw the black shape moving.
"Climb out!" She urged.
Helm turned to look as an enormous black shape dived out of the water with a mighty splash. It was very hard to see what the creature was, but it contained a razor sharp set of jaws that quickly clamped shut. It returned to the water in the blink of an eye, and when it did, Helm was gone.
The group silently watched as the yellow water became tinged with dark red. Finally, as if in a flash, something arced back up through the air. Helm's body smashed down hard on the metal surface. It was ripped to pieces. |

There was a gasp of air on the metal platform. Helm's eyes stirred and her muscles began to twitch. She blinked a few times before very very slowly pulling herself upright. She looked down at her hands and her torso in awe, noting that there wasn't a scratch to be seen.
It is now Phase 31. Phase 31 will end in roughly 1 hour from now.

Ajax's eyes snapped open. He was weary but he was glad to be back around. He looked up just in time to see a shape descend from up above. Dennis landed gracefully with a smile as the group was once again, reunited.

Pai Chan moved West once more. She was getting a bit bolder with regards to that. She pushed the door release and slipped through into the unknown. The room beyond was a standard size, with two exits to the East and the West. She took note of the large metal door to the South. It had a red ring painted on it. As she looked on, the red light on the door flashed green and the metal slid open with a clunk. A shuttle came bounding up the track from below, coming to a firm stop in the room beyond.
She took a step back and investigated the room. Water splashed across the Northern side. At the Northern part of the room, the dry stone canal moved in from the East through a set of iron bars. It remained dry until about two thirds of the way across, where a large metal gate stood firmly in place. The gate was attached to some kind of mechanism. It was blocking off the flow of water from the West. On the Western side of the gate, putrid coloured water splashed across in a slightly wider canal.
She moved towards the canal, interested in the gate when there was a loud screech in her ears that caused her to stop dead. She stumbled to the ground upon hearing it and realised there was a white line painted across the floor here. The white line moved on either side to meet with a towering pole. At the top of the tower...
Large black boxes loomed, each one facing her position. The boxes began to vibrate slowly, moving faster and faster as she kneeled on and looked. More screeching boomed out, causing her to bend double on the floor. The sound was assaulting her senses and disrupting her balance, two things she held in very high regard. The pitch and the frequency of the sound increased until with a thud, she fell forward on the ground, shaking.
The door to the East opened and her group walked in to find her there. Her nose and her ears were bleeding somewhat and she blinked up as somebody tried to speak. All she could hear was a horrible ringing noise.
"mmmmf mfffm fmmmffmf" Said a voice in the distance.
"I'll be okay." She murmured, unable to hear herself talk.
"mmffsss mffsselp her up..."
The voices were becoming a little clearer with each second. Tyrese offered out a hand and helped her unsteadily to her feet.
It is now Phase 33. Phase 33 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Hobert walked over to the Western exit and began to reach for the door release as Balagor came charging past.
"Move aside, coming through!" He said with a grin. Hobert growled and dashed under his feet, charging into the room beyond.
It was a standard sized room with an exit East and an exit South. In the middle of it sat a white dome which was radiating light. There was a small entryway into the dome. Around the outside of it was a moat full of the same putrid water they'd seen too much of. A separate canal ran along the Northern side of the room, the water flowing rapidly from the West to the East.
"So where do-" Hobert started and a voice cut him off almost instantly.
"Silence..........."
It was Willis again. The voice echoed around the chamber.
"You are......to sit........in there..........and you will......be silent."
The room fell deathly quiet as a mechanical arm descended from the ceiling. There was a turret on the end of the arm. It swirled around the room slowly, resting its aim on everybody. It was quite flexible.
"Now enter.....and be quiet....."
"This is.....another game......you see...."
"Last....time I played....this game.......many people......died.........it was tragic....."
The voice bounded around the silent room, the two tone nature of it unsettling everybody now seated in the dome. The walls of it glowed a horrible pale white colour.
"One of you.......must speak.......sometime........"
The turret span towards them.
"But which.........one?"
"Maybe......I will reward......whoever speaks....last....."
And then there was silence.
It is now Phase 34. Phase 34 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
Objectives:
For the nature of this challenge, any action that involves speaking directly will be considered breaking silence. This includes any communication item or role too. Players may not speak directly in the thread without breaking silence.

Balagor waited before smacking his hand into the door release. It opened wide and he stormed out. He was just glad to not be around that giant metal arm. Screw the future. It was full of stuff like this. He marched headlong into another metal room and found himself surrounded by more metal arms. His mouth dropped open.
Rows upon rows of them were lined up in cabinets. They were situated behind reinforced glass paned doors. Balagor reached out to open one but it didn't budge. Locked tight. This seemed more for show than anything. He glanced back up at the Northern exit and looked on as more people milled through the door. Finally he saw, everybody from his group was following. That was certainly a relief if nothing else. He grinned.
The others were looking at the gun cabinets themselves, in awe by the sheer amount of firepower on display. Maria absent-mindedly strolled along and noticed that one at the end didn't have a lock like all the others. This one was free to open. She moved away, back to the waiting group.
The room here was twice the width of a standard room. The Northern exit was set on the Eastern side, but there was another exit to the West. They sat down and waited patiently, trying to figure out their next move.
It is now Phase 35. Phase 35 will end in roughly 24 hour from now.
