mmm... thank you for that story General. That Red King, as you may know, was my cousin Frosti.
The Bito Isles were a bad place to grow up, only because of the wretched royal family that lived there. I am convinced that with my leadership, I can lead those lands back into prosperity once more. There is still good in those lands.
Fong was the worst of them. The fact that he became part of the axis of evil is only fitting, and I should've seen it coming. It is possible that his sons, Bear and Frosti, wouldn't have turned out so insipid if he didn't play such a role in their sad little lives. But who can say. I know that Fong is responsible for turning my twin brother, Rito, into a dopish buffoon like his cousins. You see, Rito wasn't so bad at first. But when he started hanging around the royal palace, with Fong and his sons, he turned mindless. "mmmmmmmmm...BITO" he would bellow. As if reciting his own name with a 'B' conveys any kind of meaning.
Frosti was perhaps the worst of them. Fong loved both his sons, but I do believe he loved Frosti more. He was his golden boy. Frosti became swept away with delusions of grandeur. It did not shock me to find out that his fate was sealed by his stupidity.
There was a time when I was at the Bito Carnival, just off the Shmito Coast. All of the royal family was there. I was still young then, too young to yet realize how utterly terrible this family was. Frosti convinced me to play against him in an archery game. When I accepted his challenge, he laughed, telling me it would be all too easy to beat a girl.
So him and I played. And I beat him handily. I won a giant stuffed zebra. He was enraged. How could the heir apparent lose to his little girl cousin?
So he struck me across the face, and seized the zebra away from me. When I tried to get it back, he screamed to his father that I was attacking him. Fong locked me in the dungeon for the night. His very own niece. When I was released, I found the zebra's head on a pike on the castle walls.
That's when I knew Frosti was...unhinged. He was nothing more than an impotent man-child who thought just because he was of the royal blood, he should be treated as such, without having to earn it. I'm just glad he's gone. I'm glad they're all gone. |
