I think he means if you exit first and die? That was my assumption. |

I think Dennis was saying that if the groups don't get split correctly something will happen to the leaders? I have no idea. |

All we know is that he was told to stay by someone. Probably the man. He just couldn't stick it to him. The details are vague |
|
|
Can someone explain this Walton situation? (Ezra?) If he is in my group I want to know what happened last round.... |
Uhh... I'm still trying to understand it. I just sort of dropped it because it doesnt seem to be relevant this phase and there was more to discuss and I assumed he would be on my group.
Last phase, he announced after coming online that he had to stay behind. That he was told. He didn't explain why until after the lockdown when a few of us opted to stay behind to make sure he was safe/keep an eye on him. (Carl disapproved of this and I'm sure he'll mention that). Apparently someone (he can't say who) instructs him on what exits to take, and if he does not heed the instructions, something bad will happen.
It seems to be his role, but he didn't clarify that it was. Apparently he didn't place an action to leave or stay last phase, but it seems he stayed and those with follows on him also stayed, only to be brought into this room by the shades (probably because we were all intended to be in this room for the sake ofthe story).
I have no idea what to make of it, and it seems a bit inconsistent. This phase the voice suggested he go east, though north isfine, but he cannot stay behind. (That's from memory, I'll have to go look at his exact postto be sure thats what he said) |

Sorry, I was trying to give you the full details instead of just a quick summary
|
|
That is probably going to cause a few problems. Seems strange I must say |
|
.. wow Hubert have really grown up since we all first met a few days ago, I remember when he used to play around like a little boy. He's acting much more serious and mature now .. |

|
|
(I only skimmed so I might have missed something, and I have to go again for a bit.)
Walton, I was wondering if you could tell us more about whatever it was that compelled you last round to stay in that room. Were you able to chose to move, or were you forced against your will? |
The first round, I was told I had a choice of doing whatever I wanted to do. So I moved North with everyone.
Last round, I was told I had to stay behind. I was not given any other information except that I had to stay behind.
This round, I was told that it might be best to head East and not North. But staying behind is not an option this round.
Maybe that means someone is behind us? |
|
Last round was the only round that I was told for sure that I HAD to stay behind. That was the only time so far I was forced to do what I was told.
And if I was staying behind, I thought I didn't have to put an action in? |
|
|
Are you told anything other than where to go? |
Not to my knowledge, no. |
|
Last round I did not put an action in, Ezra. I was under the impression I did not have to if I stayed behind. |
|
I just re-read the rules and saw that now. I was told bad thing would happen if I did not obey. Not sure if it is right away or down the road.
I'm thinking though, since my intention was to stay and just did not act on it correctly, maybe nothing bad will happen? I really have no idea. |
|
"You have to stay behind or bad things will happen."
I guess you could say, yes, that is a choice. However, I do not see it that way. I'd rather stay away from any danger. |
(I asked if he was paraphrasing that here)
|
No, that's all it said last round. |
|
You know as much as I know, other than who is telling me and how I'm being told. Which I really am not allowed to tell. But this round I was told heading East would probably be a better option than North. Though, again, I have no idea if what I am being told is accurate or not.
|
|
Ezra, its happened every round so far. I'm assuming it will continue.
Hobert, I'm thinking its either because we were all meant to meet in this room or that I just was unclear with the rules but clearly stated last round that I was staying.
As I said, it said something bad would happen but never said when or what it would be. As Sophia said, it could have been the Shadow attack that happened.
I'm sorry I do not have more answers for you guys. |
|
|
That's every post about it that he made this phase. |

Thank you Boone. I am happy you are accompanying us in Lee's group. (I think).

I want Boone back in my group :( |

Well great fucking going guys.

I will say one last thing in regards to Kristoff, and I will try to point out all the key issues here so people don't have to sift through the many pages of arguing. (I think I can remember most of it).
- A lot of the time when asked a valid question, Kristoff danced around it two ways. He either ignored it completely or played the "I came down from the sky with Father Roth" card.
- There has been so much arguing for the past 30 odd pages because of this. A lot of the time those of us who suspect Kristoff have tried to get a straight answer, and when given none, we repeated the questions. Half the time Kristoff's defense was taken up by others.
- He became pretty irritated when nobody listened to his first claims to leadership. His whole rise to power is reminiscent of a certain 20th century dictator I don't feel the need to name. He played on your fucking fears.
- This last point for me is the most compelling evidence something is amiss here. He will not pass the staff to two members we trust to confirm his story. He has said himself that this room does not have a parallel. Where could they go? And since they are trusted, level headed members, it would be highly unlikely they would use the one shot powers the staff possesses. Even if they were evil it would be a stupid move as they would be lynched instantly. Whilst it is still just speculation that Ezra and Lee are on our side, it is a fact that neither of them are stupid.
One person alone knowing the powers of the staff is very dangerous. It gives that said person way too much power. I believe Kristoff said he would be happy to pass the staff to someone next phase...when there is a parallel room to escape to. That is retarded.
He could pass the staff now and all it would take is a nod and everyone here would feel a lot better about him. Instead he seems content to let things end on a sour note between our two groups. Way to go.
There are few to challenge him in his group at the moment. He probably wants it this way. If anyone in my group who shares my mistrust and is willing to switch with Rita, it would be good if someone who isn't just a blind follower was keeping tabs on him. I will do it if nobody else wants to.
|
|
Nobody come to his aid this time please. I am looking at you Lincoln, Katy, Brittany.
And Kristoff, if you aren't going to answer properly, do not bother even acknowledging what I said. Otherwise we will have another 50 pages to sift through.
Now there is the subject of the exits to consider. Walton seems to have the ability to sense danger. He had no choice but to stay behind last phase, and whilst he was dragged through with us, it seemed to be a good move, as the shade attack happened.
Now he says the voice in his head told him that North wouldn't be a good direction to travel.
Group Lee should go east in that case. Until I know which group I am going to be in, I will hold off. |
|
Something else has been bothering me. If there is only one means for time travel at the moment, and apparently that is the only way to reach the idols and Theseus, what is group Lee's purpose?
Sure, we could come across a blocked idol in the present, but unless we have a way of telling group Kristoff, what are we really doing?
I am sure there are alternative means of time travelling, but the exploration of the labyrinth in the present must serve our purpose some way too.
|
|
Quintuple post!
We need to revise the strategy we use for exiting rooms too. At the moment there is no organisation at all, and it is usually the most active among us who exit first. This will lead to problems.
Traps are going to catch us out. It is inevitable. But who they catch out is up to us. Usually, the first person to enter a room will fall victim to a trap.
I don't care what system we put in place but we need to really think carefully about who leaves first each phase. Whether that is someone volunteering (perhaps some inactive contributors would like to step up another way) or a system where we elect someone each phase. I think this is important.
Don't think I am exempting myself from such a system were we to use it. I know full well that if it came down to Ezra surviving and me, Ezra is a more beneficial to the team. I am fucking willing to die to complete this mission.
My win condition might only be valid whilst I am alive, but it is just a formality. If my death allows someone to go on to defeat Willis, I will be happy.
|

I'm not opposed to this idea.
What are you expecting this person to do exactly? Just be a voice of reason and ask questions when needed? Or something more? |

Ahh Eleanor, I have to go to work soon but will do my best. You claim I do not answer anything. I was asked fifty or more questions. This is literally too. This is what you have learnt from me:
- My staff, Caduceus, can teleport groups through time.
- In order to reach SOME (I do not know how many require this) guardians, time travel is required to go through blocked paths.
- There are alternative time travel methods that have side effects which I do not know. Highly unlikely they are group based ones.
- The leadership role is needed for my personal use of the staff.
- Caduceus has (two) one shot powers.
- Caduceus is the key to Pandora's Box (although this is an established fact, it is very important).
- The previous two points are the main reason I am not passing the staff around. I do not trust anyone nearly enough. You may trust each other but it is too early to pass it around. Has anyone else been passing around items of high importance?
- The staff reveals markers that tell me if a room is a parallel room to the other Labyrinth. Some rooms are not. Such as this one.
- The past maze is safer, because of the fact this maze is 2000 years older. I believe this because of flavor but I think it is a fair enough assumption.
Now tell me, who else has provided you with more information? People say I have too many secrets. Yet, I have provided more information then anyone in the game. I do not wish to go over these points as we have thousands of times. Some things I have probably missed out on to. Now what things have I ignored?
I am honored to be compared to Churchill.
I addressed the passing thing many times. The people in my group understand it I believe. I could have pretended Caduceus was just flavor but didn't as I felt the group had the right to know in case I died and was killed and some evil person picked it up.
I welcome you to join our group Eleanor. I do not like you and nor do several members of my group but I am pro-Democracy. A vocal opposition I welcome. And you are clever too. I will give you that. In addition Lee has not stated he will distribute any items he gets. I will, one will be given to Sir Dern and the rest based on what the group believes. I have also publicly stated many times that if I go against my word the group can and should lynch me. If you join us you can keep me to my word. You will even find out all I say is indeed, true. |

(If anyone has any questions about that please ask as soon as possible as I have work and will be absent like yesterday...) |
|
The way I see things I do not trust anybody, no matter how trustworthy said person seems. I don't trust Kristoff, I don't trust Ezra and I don't trust Stonehard Lee. And I did not join Kristoff because he is using scare tactics like Eleanor keeps talking about or anything like that. I joined him because if he can do what he says (go back to the past)we can find Theseus and his sword and we will be a lot safer, and being able to travel between past and present offers a lot of options. I also like to keep a powerful item's like Kristoff's staff as close as possible to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. In the end I don't think it matters who we choose to be the leader. In my opinion it is an empty title and the group will do what the majority decides not one person. And if I remember correctly in the last lab game, when the group was split up, then the one who said he wanted to be leader and campaigned for it turned out to be good but the person one group considered trustworthy and chose as their leader turned out to be a bad guy in the end what does that tell you? At least it tells me that the bad guys are smart act like saints to begin with (who wouldn't???). I also do not understand why Kristoff would share the information that he has if he is such a bad guy because if he is lying he will be lynched and has painted a big target on his back. To me it just does not seem to be something a bad guy would do but nonetheless I will keep an eye on
him like everybody else because no one can be trusted yet. |

Katy and Hobbert I hope you guys change your minds :( |
I appreciate your concern Parker. I know that there is a risk following Kristoff, but I knew I would have to be ready to take a few risk then I joined up for this mission.
Besides, he and Roth did safe our lives, so in the very least I feel I should repay that favor by giving him the benefit of the doubt.
And I too hope you change your mind, I would feel better having you at my side.

Wouldn't someone have to jump ship in order for me to do that? If someone is willing then I would definitely join! |
Talk to maybe Tyresse, Dennis, or Kane. If memory serves they didn't neccesarially have strong feelings for either side. |
I actually wouldn't mind having Tyresse on my team if things get dangerous. He seems so.. dependable.

C’mon ’cause I know what I like,

The fact that at the end of the phase you need to either choose to go with Kristoff, or Lee. Lee's group will stay in the present. Kristoff will use the staff to open a portal and move into the ancient labyrinth. |

Considering you've done two murders, been murdered two times, and probably a bad history with alcohol, it doesn't seem this is a good choice for you.

Who the fuck cares if there are side-effects? |
Time travelling can take you to places you didn't want to go, you may suffer from illusions that can harm you or any of your companions, death or maybe nothing at all, i suppose. It may be none of your own concern, but for the sake of others you should consider this pausible. |
|
|
I have to read 40 pages. Does anything require my attention before I do so? |
No, and this is a serious problem. It's incredibly aggravating to have to sift through about 20 pages or so of people just dicking around just to read the important things. |
|

So now team Kristoff is going east? Kristoff said that if Walton were to join the group we may be forced to go east. |
I'm still reading through all of the pages since I wasn't around last night.
I still haven't seen him say that yet. When I get to it, I will address it. |

Just to clarify: 22 on one group, 23 on the other. |

Lee is full again. Rita wanted to join Lee's team as soon as someone left the group.

For splitting up the groups I'd suggest keeping Eleanor and the General seperated. Their useless fighting will just make the size of threads bigger. |
I agree.
Even though my trust towards Jesus and his scavenger hunt is limited I feel his group needs my strength more than Lee.
I do like Thomas though. He speaks truth in many ways.

Damn it, how will I ever get out of this labyrinth? |

I agree with elanor as far as organizing people leaving the room goes. We should also make sure to check each door in case there are keypads like in the first room and devise a system for possibly springing any traps in the rooms before anyone enters.
On the kristoff debate, its a bit fishy that first we were told by roth that the staff could be used for purposes of time.travel to find theseus in the past. Then when kristoff posted HE ammended this and said that if he wasnt a leader it wouldnt work and on top of that people would die. As some doubt was flcast on him he came up with excuses not to pass the staff off for proof of its abilities (which is at least understandable) but still caused unease. As more people left his group, suddenly he states that now the staff is not only needed to find theseus but also some of the immortals, because other methods of time travel could strand or kill us? It doesnt even matter if he's the official leader of a group at that point, thats just one item that is almost unbalanced in its importance if everything he says is true. This is why he shouldnt be trusted. Especially not if he tries to tell you he needs to hold the sword of theseus to use the staff again. |

Just a clarifying point to your last one:
Kristoff later said that he doesn't want to pass it because the staff has 'one time' powers. To problems with that are
- Why did he not explicitly tell us about the one time powers when trying to gain our trust?
- What are these powers?
Everything else you said was spot on. |

I think it would be beneficial for the past and the present to attempt to remain in the same room. For example, we could make a system for choosing the direction.
Maybe North > East > West > South? |

I think Kristoff wanted to go North but said depending on whether Walton had restrictions of which way he could travel may have to go East instead? Walton, do you have anything like that going on this time?
And Eleanor wanted someone to move from Lee's group to Kristoff's. I volunteer to make the swap to Kristoff's group. |

This is a smart plan. Though i am sure that there will be times where we cannot both be in parallel rooms trying to double up like this will raise our chances of reuniting after finding the sword and the immortals.
Also before confronting willis with all the items we should use theseus' sword to destroy the staff so theres no last minute opening of pandoras box. |
|
People in Lee´s group do not worry about Kristoff. I hear mistrust but time is running out and this has to be final.
If he lies I will personally take him down. I toured with Spetsnaz for many years. I think I can handle small farmer.
If he tells truth we are rewarded heavily. We will track down Theseus and take sword. Bring sword back and kill Willis. Kristoff will not carry sword. That is my word.
For death. For glory. |

Note that i suggest we do that right before the end of the game. Its too valuable a tool to do such a thing sooner. |

And I just now just been informed that, since I have now joined Kristoff's group, that it may be more beneficial to head North. Not sure why it changed now since I changed groups. Maybe its the staff?
Again, no reason was given as to why North is the better way to go now that I switched groups. When I asked why, I was just told that I could not be given a reason. |

It's almost as though you volunteer as tribute |

This is from the same voice or whatever that tried to have you remain behind last phase?
I'm very curious how this works, do you have to ask which way you should go, or does it just speak to you prior to the end of each phase?

Yes, I guess that would be one way to put it :)

I suggest both groups stay in the present for at least one more phase. |

Its kind of just been telling me at random times throughout the phase before it ends.

There's obviously something presently dangerous to the North, so if the staff can send them to the past it would be best if they did it now |
