Kane backed away from the creepy display and the creepy motionless...guy who was sat in the throne, ever watchful. He didn't need this shit. Things were bad enough. He shoved the Western door open and tested his courage once more.

The room he stepped into was twice the length of a standard room. There were two exits set into the Northern half of the room. These doors were to the East and West. There was another door to the far South but this one was firmly locked shut. Oh well. He'd just have to do whatever he could.

The ceiling was curved and cave-like again. There was damp all around him and the air was filled with a strange mist. From the North of the wall came a dry stony canal. It looked as if water had flown through once, but it was empty now. The canal veered East, near to where he stood and passed into the wall, just a little South of the Eastern exit. The wall was a bit cracked and water-worn there. Where the canal came in from the North, there was an iron gate to allow the water to flow through, but the Eastern side lacked a gate at all.

He shrugged and moved towards the South of the room and got the distinct impression...once more....that he was being watched. A series of carved faces looked down from the wall. They were scattered around in all directions and they looked down at him with cold, dead eyes. Each of them was looking to the West. There were faces with pieces missing, gaps where faces once were but many that were still fully intact.

The rush and smell of flowing water filled the air. There was a waterfall cascading down from the top of the cave on the Western side. The mist in the room seemed to emanate from here. Onto the floor below.

Kane turned back and saw the faces once more watching, saying nothing.

Then came the voice in his head.

"See what once has been....just speak the number of your desired destination and you shall see all..."

He shook his head. This was not fun sober.

It is now Phase 35. Phase 35 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Funny thing I just realized about the last room. I wonder if I could have used my role to attack who/what I thought was Pollux. I could kill him eat his heart and then I would BECOME him.

That would be fucking sweet.

So there was nothing special that happened. I'm just happy I picked a valid room :)

Worth a shot since I got nothing better to do than jerk off. But that would be creepy with all these stone faces watching me.

Kane stood below the watching faces and spoke out loud.

"4554" He said hesitating slightly. Nothing happened for a while.

Then the floor began to shake. He braced himself as one of the heads on the wall lit up brightly. It extended forth and blinked out at him, speaking in Ancient Greek and muttering words he couldn't understand. Another did the same to his right. He jumped back suddenly, wary of what they might be saying.

Then he felt something stir at his back. His attention was drawn to the waterfall where something flickered into view. It was an image from a room. It was standard sized with a green portal swirling on the Western wall, like liquid water. There were two doors, one North and one South. As he looked on, a large skeletal figure clad in black armour with a flowing black cape seemed to drift in from the North and move out through the Southern door. The room fell silent again for a short time before the exact same thing happened, another wayward skeleton drifting from North to South. It had a dark air about it.

The he watched as somebody was shoved into the room. He could only vaguely recognise her but she'd been around at the start. Rhea was it? She stumbled in after being pushed and a moment later she was pulled forcibly towards the portal. Rhea was eventually sucked through, and came out through another portal. Only now she was facing East.

Dern walked through into the room in front of the portal along with the rest of the group. Alongside him, there was Airlea, Ajax, Andrael, Arimnestos, Balagor, Brittany, Dennis, General Chuikov, Hobert, Katy, Kristoff, Maria, Pai Chan, Peter, Queen Genevieve, Sophia and Tyrese. Airlea and Katy approached the portal and looked through. Dern shrugged and walked through the portal too, leaving the others beyond. Ajax did exactly the same.

Next went General Chuikov, Balagor and Dennis. Andrael went along too. The only ones left after others spilled across were Genevieve, Airlea, Kristoff and Brittany. Genevieve went next as well as Airlea. Finally Kristoff went through, eyes closed. The others stood by a door that had "East" written above it. They were all on the other side of the portal. Dern went back across along with all the others and they lingered for a while talking. No voices could be heard, only the splashing of water from the waterfall.

After a long time, Genevieve climbed back through the portal and walked through the door labelled "East" on the other side. The rest followed through and eventually the whole group departed through that door. No sooner had they done so than another skeleton swarmed through from the door labelled "East", wielding two daggers and hissing. It drifted over to the portal, moved through it and drifted down to the South.

Another skeleton appeared after a short time, drifting in from the North and going through the portal. It glided through the door labelled "East". And all was still until something else drifted into view. This wasn't a person or a skeleton. It was some kind of dark, swirling apparition that had the vague appearance of a woman. A dark sort of energy drifted from it as it glided from the South and headed through the swirling vortex. It came out on the other side and approached the door labelled East. It paused, suddenly, whilst at the door. Then its face turned up to glare at the waterfall. A pair of cold dead eyes stared right into Kane's soul. And the image faded into nothing.

He was left staring at the flowing water, remaining as peaceful as if nothing had happened. Then he shook his head frantically. What was all that?

What the fuck was all that?

Ooooohhhh It was what happened in the past in that room. I remember now Mark mentioning something about a portal room within a room. I guess that was it. Wow it's like I experienced a flashback without having any LSD on or in me.

Fucking withdrawal.

Funny you two should get your shit straight Pollux posted in my journal that nothing interesting happened in that room.

I guess that would have been good with a large group and we could have verified everything Sofia told Mark. Probably could have also seen if Parker killed Tyron or sum monster.

In retro it would have lulz to revisit the lynching of the three scumbuddies too.
