The smell was getting quite bad as Eleanor led the way onwards. The body of Culo was slumped practically in the doorway so she had to push him aside as she pressed the release to stop him from falling and getting stuck in the doorway. The force of the automated metal slamming would have probably torn his head from his body and spending another length of time with that wouldn't be the best. She moved him aside carefully, not recoiling or flinching even when the worms dripped down onto the floor. In the distance she could hear Brittany shrieking. She disliked it.
The room beyond was a standard size with the only other exit on the Western side, and that one locked shut. She walked across the floor. The lighting in here was a breath of fresh air. Not bright, but so much brighter than what they'd come from. It was glinting off something near the Western exit. In the middle of the floor sat a box with a number of locks, each leading into a compartment. There were five locks in total, which probably meant five keys. This should be simple enough.
She strode across the floor and put her hand in the crates containing the keys. Five keys, just like they thought. As she reached into the crates however, the bases opened up and the keys disappeared into some kind of mechanism below. She heard them clanking away down there.
"Perfect." She said glumly. The others were sat around forlornly. Nothing was that simple.
There was a rumble from up above as something fell from the ceiling. Eleanor looked up and watched as something fell down with a clink sound. Was that the keys? They'd gone around to the ceiling only to fall...
Then it hit her.
"Who has a key in their pack? Let's make it fucking quick, we don't have all day." She demanded.
The keys must have fallen into their packs at random. She turned back to the box. The top compartment was separate from the smaller ones underneath. It would probably need all five keys to open. Whoever put their key in last would get whatever it contained. The smaller compartments underneath would open individually, one with each key turned. It was a complicated design but what was simple around here?
It is now Phase 54. Phase 54 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
Objectives:
Your inventory will be updated to state you have been given a key if you have. These are unlike regular items and will not take up a normal slot and cannot be used outside of this room. Once you have your key, you may turn it and open the lock. With each key turned, the compartment will open beneath and you will gain whatever is inside. When all five keys have been turned, the last player to turn theirs will gain whatever is in the top compartment. You may trade your keys, as you would trade items.
Players (11):
Airlea
Brittany
Dennis
Eleanor
Frederick
General Chuikov
Hobert
Kristoff
Mark
Peter
Sophia
Exits:
East
West (Locked) | |

Hmm, interesting. I can't imagine they'd be trapped? | ---------------
I just don't want to be another piece in their game. I keep wishing I could think of a way to show them, that they don't own me. If I'm gonna die, I wanna still be me. |

Once again, I think we should pass on this. All we need is guardian stuff now. | ------------

I don't know, I think we should go for this one personally. There's no guarantee on death here. The russian roulette one there was. | |

If you guys want, I will take the risk and then share whatever is inside.
We can decide what to do with whatever it is once we find out. But I'm willing to risk it. =x | Don't judge a book by its cover. |

Is there anything we need, aside from Guardian crap, worth risking a life for? | ------------

A revive book would be good, but idk if it's worth the risk. | A hero is no braver than an ordinary man,
but he is brave five minutes longer.

We have to think it's both guardian stuff, but how long we have to travel and how many people may die in the process. | Don't judge a book by its cover. |

Might be...at the risk of me. | Don't judge a book by its cover. |

I don't understand. Were people supposed to randomly get keys in their packs? I got nothing. | ---------------
