I've stated it before Willis, this was an awesome game... Even though I've had my time with some forum games, I can't say I've gone through such a rush while playing them.
The game itself was marvelous, with such a style of a mafia game and yet more intricate than one of those, that it has been one of the things I've enjoyed the most in the last months game-wise.
The story was amazingly done (at least from Roth's POV), and of course, even as of now that I have no clue on most things that happened in other parts of the game, I have to give props to the rest of the players also for this one. Damn I'm still annoyed by Wikey and Rayne mostly, taking my coveted vest in the most crucial time... I still wished I could have done something with Hupu shoe-wise. With that last phase I'm still wondering the roles of John and Wikey... Was John the devil I was supposed to take out? Also who the fuck sent those messages?
The part of the in game traps and such were, to be honest, regular (the Jigsaw puzzle was an awesome one though, thanks to Robert for that one). Of course, to keep things fair, I did go by through most traps after someone else had gone through them first, so I can't properly judge this one. I still have no clue where the key was, or if someone had grabbed it first from us, and kept it secret from the rest, or if someone escaped. Also, whatever happened to Dante, Cerberus, Acheron? Where there judges of hell in the game or was that misguided to me by the computer?
One last thing that comes to mind about the last phase though:
- almost everyone was in the same room
- the REAL EXIT not in any nearby surroundings (according to the mapping done, hopefully right)
- and the killing spree that went in it led to the game being over.
Makes me believe the devil didn't go outside to the real world (or maybe he did and none of us knew?).
I've really enjoyed this game. And sorry Luca, but I'll be one of the (I'm pretty sure) many waiting for the third installment of this story.
... Because if the devil is either inside of the maze, or even more if he's gone outside...
My mission is not over.

Glad you enjoyed it so much and I'm really happy you put so much into it. It was a joy to write flavour for the people who put the most in the game and you gave me plenty to work with. Your journey was a high point.
Your questions will all be answered when I run the finale tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a satisfying conclusion to this story, but it also leads into another story which I intend to be the third chapter (the first chapter was actually quite forgettable compared to this one).
That third one won't be for a while though. Hosting this has taken a lot out of me. | |
