Im sure this has been addressed before, but does he ahve a map or list of rooms he's been in?

That's what I was thinking too. Guess they're just situational if someone were to attack you here? Or if there was a way to keep them cooled.

oh BTW, next time you talk to him can you ask for room #'s he's been in? I know he doesn't have them mapped but even knowing where he's been would be helpful

if anyone's curious, by my count there are currently 18 unexplored rooms which could have the sword (assuming we didn't overlook it in any room, like the lava game that Group F passed up)

assuming my map is right:
7 of them are clustered between the yellow shuttle and the exit
5 of them between the yellow shuttle and the computer room
2 of them the 2 rooms west of the purple shuttle (the one we took to get here)
3 of them south of the Cerbie tracking room (one of those being the northeast platform of COS, which probably isn't any different from the rest)
1 of them to the east of the northeastern COS platform
1 of them to the east of the southeastern COS platform

oh, and 1 of them is the room east of 6075
