The group moved up the slope on the Western side and worked their way through the exit. As they did, Ninefingers glared at the thing...that had possessed the body of Jeffrey. It grinned and followed them into the room beyond as the group stood back uneasily.

The chamber of souls loomed away into the distance. They were stood on the South Eastern platform. As they stood and the flames danced beneath with the blue wisps leaping around, they felt the ground occasionally shake and rumble. Tongues of flame leapt up from the lava and blasted through holes in the ceiling.

Ninefingers moved to the edge of the platform, keeping a close eye on the resurrected Jeffrey. He scanned around below to see what was causing the constant rumbling. As he approached the West and looked down into the lava, he noticed that the Southern wall had a series of steps leading to an alcove below the platform. They were unreachable however.

The bottom of the steps led onto a stone platform which jutted out into the fiery lake. A smaller river extended off towards the East. Ninefingers stared at the shape which was stood on the platform below. It was a hideous thing and it seemed to be causing the rumbling.

The...thing...was a large metallic looking beast. It had two enormous horns and the head was covered in a strange visor. A long tail flicked back and forth as the massive beast pounded at the walls below their position furiously. It worked restlessly and occasionally, the ground shook as a result of the hammering. Ninefingers scoured the walls all around. They were rigged with something. If he were a betting man, he would've presumed explosives. He'd seen plenty of C4 in his combat time.

The walls beneath the platforms were lined with whatever it was. And the beast continued to pound away to whatever means. It was very unsettling. He glanced over at the group. He wished he understood what the eye's game was.

You each have about 20 hours to move through an available exit.

As the group scoured the room, they noticed on the platform to the South-West there was a very large, feral looking beast. Was that...cerberus? It was shocking to get a good look at it. It was distant but still visible. The three headed beast was the mangiest looking creature they had ever seen. It lashed out in a furious frenzy every so often, though there was nothing on the platform. It continually tried to butt its head through the door to the South.

As they were distracted by the sight of the beast, Jeffrey picked up the throwing knife and carefully aimed again. It arced through the air and once again landed firmly in Alex's abdomen. Alex let out a yelp of pain as once more he pulled the knife out. Bloodied, it clanked on the floor as Alex slumped down in the corner. He ripped off a portion of his shirt and padded away at the wound furiously.

This continued for quite some time before the bleeding stopped and Alex lay groaning in the corner. He was still alive somehow.

As the group looked on, the figure of Jeffrey convulsed and fell in a heap to the ground. Its form was now covered in bullet holes. They looked down at the very dead Jeffrey sombrely.

The group stood around as Alex grabbed Mercator's arm. Mercator hissed. He'd been fairly silent since losing his manhood. Alex flung him forwards with all his strength and then stepped back. Stumbling a little, Mercator looked up blearily as Bryce and Korru grabbed him and walked him to the edge of the platform. Ninefingers looked up into the sky and made a sign of a cross before booting Mercator in the behind.

Screaming out into the night, Mercator fell a great distance, bashing the rocks a few times. The metallic beast below didn't stop to turn around. Just narrowly missing the land mass below, Mercator's body plunged into the fires as Ninefingers stood over and watched curiously.

There was a tremendous rumbling as the blue wisps leaped into the air. They danced and waved as the fires bubbled furiously. There was a tremendous wailing that shook them to their cores. Glancing over the red mass below, Ninefingers' body was blown backwards by a horrible blue wind. He stood against the wailing and the blowing and perched on the edge of the platform.

Looking down at the chaos below, he knew they had called forth the souls as suggested in the message Willis provided. He paused, preparing to finish the task.

As Ninefingers yelled out the name over the blasting winds and howling and wailing, a solitary blue wisp leapt up high above the flames. It circled through the air dramatically before blasting past their faces. Finally the noise died down and the bubbling ferocity ended.

The group stopped for breath. That was quite the event.

The doors open after much delay. Time to move on.
