Robert's message to Roth:
|
Back when Jesus was doing his Jesus stuff, after he got baptized, he went in the desert alone for a really long time. While he was there, he fasted. No food or water or anything for way longer than any person should ever take.
And eventually the devil saw all that, and he tried to take advantage of it. He would offer him things. I offered to make the rocks out there into bread so Jesus would stop starving.
But jesus said no.
Then when Jesus was like stuck somewhere and couldnt get out, the devil told him to jump, because the angels would catch him. But Jesus was too smart for that shit and turned him down again, cuz you aren't supposed to test God. If you gotta do something, you do it yourself and god helps if he wants to help.
Finally the Devil decides to up the stakes, and he takes him to a really high up place... like a moutain but super high. And he shows him all the kingdoms in the whole world. And the devil offers Jesus those kingdoms in exchange for him turning his back on god. He'd let him rule the whole world if Jesus just gave up his faith.
But Jesus turned him down.
And he survived his thing in the desert and the angels came and helped him out after he survived all of the temptations.
Then like a long time after that, when Jesus was on the cross, he started feeling like none of it meant anything. He questioned why so much bad shit happened to him and why god did make his pain go away. But he accepted it
And he died.
But Jesus came back, cuz none of it was just for nothing. It all had to happen for something bigger to come out of it.
And because Jesus kept his faith even though his friends betrayed him, and he almost starved and the whle crucifixtion thing he got to come back and he got to go to heaven
And Jesus's sacrifices mattered, cuz what he endured lead the way for others to be saved. Even when people make mistakes and sin, Jesus openned the way for forgiveness.
Roth, you're no Jesus, and I'm not sure how much of this shit I really believe.... but there is hope, and hopefully the shit you have to endure is worth it.
And even if its not, I hope you can forgive what I did before I met you.
Don't give up! |

What the hell. Robert was never that verbose. Except when we had our first witch hunt, when he had gotten the cape and was keeping it secret from us. We knew it was one of five people, and he was one of them. Granted he ditched us early on so I didn't get very much exposure to him but...
"I hope you can forgive me for what I did before I met you" ???
I don't have time to analyze it right now, but I'm copying that down. It is very strange. | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |

He has to kill everyone on his list before he can possess his permanent shell. That's why I think he was put out that Alex survived his two round attack. He knew we were going to the CoS to toss Alex in, so by killing him he would have forced us to either abandon the plan, or pick someone new to kick into the fire.
Which left Mercator and Randolph. He's tried to kill Mercator before.
Also, we told Randolph we were going to toss him in, too. He said not to, that he would be much more active. This was a lie, as we can all see. | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |

Honestly, for all we know Mercator was the last person he needed dead and/or his permanent shell. |
If that was the case though, why kill useless Jeff over Malarkey or even the permanent shell?
It seems weird that he would target Jeff who has no good role. |
He killed Klaus with the turret, then used Klaus's gun on Helios. He then passed Jeff the Walkie Talkie. He targeted Jeff because he knew Jeff had the knife from where he passed it to him as Baby Pete after stabbing Mercator.
He likes that knife. Every time he passes it to someone, that someone winds up dead in the near future, while someone else winds up being passed the knife. With that turret and knowledge of who has the knife, he could keep popping off 2-for-1's.
It might actually be a good idea for us to swap items or something. We'll worry about it next round.
(Something tells me those will be famous last words.) | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |

Also you know what would be a REAL ASSHOLE STRATEGY?
Go to the Sanctuary and stay there FOREVER.

Oh yeah I meant to ask about that - can the turret not fire in the Sanctuary? When we found that Missile Launcher computer and accidentally shot Jeff to Raking, I was wondering if it might fail if Raking was still in the sanctuary.
That's still the funniest thing that happened in my opinion. We stumble across two strange computers and wind up bringing one Twin to us, only to have him throw a live grenade and teleport to the Sanctuary. The next computer sends Jeff flying towards the one guy he needs dead, and that needs him dead. | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |

Also, Robert's message to Roth - notice how he refers to the devil as "he" or "the devil" except for one time. When he accidentally said this:
"I offered to make the rocks out there into bread so Jesus would stop starving." | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |

The doors open after much delay. Time to move on.
The thread is now in lockdown. Actions after this point will not go through and movement changes will not be submitted. You may still move if you haven't already done so. All actions that are awaiting results will have the results posted.

I thought nobody can die in the Sanctuary... :3

I don't know anything about it other than Raking was awarded the ability to teleport there. I'm asking you if no one can die there? Because when Jeff Missile landed on Raking he had already left the Sanctuary. | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |

I wish there was a way we could dispose of corpses we come across permanently.
I almost really like this idea of just going and sitting in the Sanctuary.
I mean, not to be Mr. Pessimism, but this isn't looking good for us. At all. | In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong. |
