according to my map that person's in a room with a razor blade trap that's already been tripped

Wonder who originally tripped it? Weird that it matches up with Alex's map pre-shift in being a trap room.

A room appeared with two rusty razorblades visible. A lot of blood was splattered over their surfaces and across the floors and walls. There was no corpse to be seen. Exits were visible to the East and West. A very large beast was filling most of the room, occasionally bashing into the door at the East.

whoever tripped it didn't die apparently. I think GROUP U actually stumbled across this room before meeting up with me in the subway

also I never noticed the "beast" description before... that must be CERBIE waiting to get through (as of that phase, which was awhile ago)

So is 2046 where 7355 used to be on one of Jeff's old maps? One room West of the chamber of souls? It was a barrier room. And we lost a barrier room in that shift.

4026 is now one east of the razorblades room. Its where me and twinsie found the stairs to the subway

I was hoping a room swapping pattern might emerge. Guess not. While you were at that computer did you compare your old maps to it? To see where all the rooms we had seen early on together had moved, if any?

well the computer just gives you a description of the room and exits, doesn't actualy tell you where in the maze they are

here's the room swaps we know tho (Bagshot compiled this list)
???? (G3) became 4026
4026 became 7355
7355 became 8613
8613 became 3812
???? (A5) became 9432
9432 became ???? (C2)

Also I noticed I asked about 2046 but you replied about 4026. Do the room numbers have sort of inverting/shifting pattern you all have noticed?

I just went looking at my maps and our discussion and I don't see any mention of a 2046, so I must have.

So if I'm following this right, the room we're about to walk into was originally where the stairs to the subway were? Before we moved into it with 7355.

And I know someone said the shuttles don't change, so no matter what room the one we're walking into would contain in the future, one end of the purple shuttle WILL be in there?

So that means any other rooms that move have to either be empty of tracks, or contain the exact same shuttle path configuration as the one it switches with.

hmm I think how it works is when a room shifts it leaves it's old shuttle path behind and the new room to go to that position inherits it. So like the shuttle path isn't actually PART of that room it just happens to be in the same position
