Does anyone have the turret info from the ante-room? (I didn't get the whole ~threads just disappear~ deal at that point so my early notes aren't good at all)

YOU WON THIS ROUND BUT YOU ARE HOPELESSLY GULLIBLE AND MERCILESSLY USELESS JUST LIKE ALL OF THEY WERE...WHEN I KILLED EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM WITH MY TRUSTY HATCHET..." "YOU WILL SEE JUST HOW DANGEROUS ALL OF THIS IS. AND YOU WILL LEARN YOUR PLACE." The voice stopped but the rumbling continued. A hatch on the wall opened up and a long metal arm slid out. On the end of it was some kind of turret. King Frosti looked up in abject fear as a red blaze lit the end of it and some kind of projectile blasted out. He leapt back but super hot steam was rising from the ground and filling the room. The projectile hit where he was just standing and scorched the floor. The turret turned to face ublazrob... And blasted once more. ublazrob dodged as the turret spun and the frequency of the shots increased. The room filled with thick steam so visibility became impossible. Everybody frantically ran back and forth across the unstable shaking floor as ricochets of gunfire bounced off the hot rusty metal. There was pandemonium and screaming. The intensity of the eye burned on. Drr backed up against a wall. The guns seemed to be avoiding the walls so it would be safer back here. Wikey shook his head as every round missed him narrowly. Eduardo screamed out a variety of Spanish curses. Frosti lay cowering on the ground mumbling something. Everybody was absolutely hysterical. The firing stopped but the steam remained as a spike shot up from the ground causing Ninefingers to roll across to the side, escaping narrowly with his life. Robert also dodged the hit from one of the spikes which shot up with an eerie steel swish sound. There was a clinking as more spikes rose up below the feet of Kiwi...and Malarkey...and Alex...and just about everybody in the room. "Oh men oh men" muttered Jeffrey in abject fear. Leos swilled down the remains of a bottle of whiskey he had secreted. Helios looked across miserably and Leos threw him the bottle. Helios drained it. ublazrob was also sat, dazed as he rolled out of the way of the array of spikes. Everybody cleared the area where the spikes were rising. Finally they fell and there was one final clink as a number of spikes extended from the perimeter of the room. They stayed there for a few seconds before sliding back into the walls. The steam cleared. Everybody groaned as they checked themselves up and down...did they all make it...through....? The eye of Willis appeared calmer. "I hope you now know, what is in stake. Tread carefully. And trust nobody. They will lie and deceive. Death is...almost certain." The eye vanished and the pendulum swung. The list of names returned. They seemed to be the same as befor.... One of the names was struck through. Kiwi yelled out as he saw the trail of blood dripping beneath his feet. He checked his body feverishly.... There was...no wound... but the trail of blood was still there. His eyes and everybody's move to one of the walls where the spikes had come through. Lying and wheezing helplessly at the side of the room was the body of Drr. Her abdomen contained a very large hole. Blood was trickling out of her mouth. The group circled around in shock as she tried to speak. "wh...why...y....did....." Her voice gurgled out. The room once again...fell dark.

This is right?

Walter stood by the computer sweating at the sight of all the buttons. He looked back nervously at the expectant group.

"I do this?" He asked miserably.

"Yes Walter, just be typing Leos and let's all see what this thing was meant for." Ninefingers said with a smile.

Walter nodded and stared at the buttons in front of him.

"You sure?" He asked nervously.

Kiwi rolled his eyes in the background.

"Do it Walter, we want to see what happens :P " Said Jeff excitedly.

Walter glared at the buttons. This was a puzzle the likes of which he'd never had to solve before. They were...hard...all the buttons. He didn't like the pressure. He wasn't sure he could solve this gargantuan task.

"I NO CAN!" He screamed out into the room.

Natalie smiled and put a hand re-assuringly on Walter's large shoulder. "Let me show you." She said helpfully. She proceeded to guide Walter's hand to the "L" button. He looked nervously at her and she nodded. Walter pushed down hard, almost breaking the key.

"A little gentler please Walter!" She said firmly.

Walter looked despondent.

"I very sorry" He muttered miserably.

"Let's try again!" Said Natalie re-assuringly. She guided his hand to the E button. Walter pushed a little gentler. It still almost flew off but it was a little better now.

"Just twice more now Walter." She said smiling.

"You can do it Walter!" Said Iron Face happily. Walter nodded.

"I CAN DO!" He screamed out with a grin.

Under Natalie's guidance he nervously pressed the "O" and the "S" keys. Then he smiled. He'd solved a puzzle. He had needed a little help but...he had completed the hardest task he had ever needed to complete. He breathed deeply.

"Willis puzzles hard." He said exhaustedly.

"Just one more Walter." Said Natalie smiling.

She guided his hand to the "Enter" key and he glanced at everybody in the room nervously. They all nodded and smiled except for Kiwi, Frosti and Donovan who just glared angrily. Walter sighed and pushed down.

The screen displayed a message.

"Searching..."

The dots after the searching proceeded to move across the screen before the screen flashed up with a red message. It said.

"Error: Target not valid."

Walter was too busy sitting in the corner and smiling dreamily. He had helped.

well that didn't work

oh men I guess they have to be alive then? Should we try it on someone else?

So dead targets are not viable targets. Kill machine, then?

Also the passage Natalie was questioning - it sounds to me like the red eyes in that sentence belong to Frosti. Some commas would have helped that one out.

I'm going to put my vote in for using it on someone from the other team, or maybe seeing if Brock is a valid target, since if he isn't we might get another shot at putting a name in. I would vote for Helios. I'm sure the monitor will give us a hint as to what happens. "Target eliminated. Target -something-." You know? I know Helios has self revives but, I would think this would eat more of his reserves up than him rezzing someone else would.

I don't remember who all they thought was scummy from their team, so if you all decide to pick someone they aired complaints about, or maybe even Raking Czair since something obviously changed with him to sever the twin thing, I'm fine with that. Just now that we know it doesn't revive, it makes me nervous to say let's use it on someone in this room. Unless someone wants me to put the BP vest on again and be the guinea pig.

(I've got a doctor's appointment at 3:15 then I'm going to grab something to eat. Will be back after that for fun times in the labyrinth all afternoon/night.)

ya I'm cool with testing it on sum TWINSIE. I know we hate Helios but I dunno how good an idea it is to waste his revives (: Could come in handy later

Who all has separated from the groups? I know we mentioned Brock from our group. Didn't they also have some wander off alone?

I do think it seems too straightforward for it to just be a kill machine tho. I think Willis has something more creative up his sleeve on this one

so ya putting the vest on someone to test it might be a good idea. Cuz if this is a GOOD thing then I don't think we want group U to reap the benefits instead of us (:
