Sorry about having been MIA, my family and I took a trip to Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC yesterday and frankly I am recovering today, since being the cheapskates we are walked the entire thing.
My mother has a bit of an obsession with Van Gogh, I took a picture of one of his best works there. Its much better in person of course, seeing all the individual brush strokes and textures up close.
The Last Judgement is a particular favorite of my brother Max:
Here we posed in front of a small egyptian temple, a real one, not a recreation that was transported to the museum. I pointed out myself and Ghandia for reference, the others are my brothers, starting from the left are the twins Jake and Zach and then Max.
Here are statues of egyptian goddesses, whom have lioness heads. It turns out Egypt worships cats in general, which is why their gods and the sphinx are all cat-like in nature. They also worship the sun, the disks behind the statue's heads represent the sun.
Here is Jake, Lacey (Ghandia) and our mom, whom gave birth to us just so we could host this game for you all!
This is on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum. It's a terrific view of the city. I took a shot of the El Dorado buildings here, it's kind of tough as this was very crowded.
Overall it was a pretty awesome trip. The most annoying thing about the city are the tour guide trying to sell you on taking their tour...and street hustlers who basically cornered me to buy their hip hop and rap music, it was AWKWARD!
