This looks pretty awful. And that might be the understatement of the year, even coming from someone who tries to find things to enjoy in every season... unless it's impossible like it was with RI.

Things that look REALLY BAD:
-RI is back. That alone will probably make this unwatchable. Why did they bring this garbage twist back? Are they going to take away rewards again? Or is it going to go away at the merge, LIKE IT SHOULD, so we can get inter-tribe mingling?
-Colton returning makes it even MORE unwatchable. Seriously, he's probably my least favorite Survivor contestant ever, having zero redeeming qualities. I don't get how he has a fiance, either. Why would anyone want him in their life for more than 15 minutes?
-Candice is back instead of RC. Granted, I hate both of them, but RC was actually likable on the island. It was just... after it.
-Grandma Laura again *ugh*
-The twists are stupid. They can switch places at RI with their partner... and then get voted out themselves on their own tribe?

I like that they aren't on the same tribes as their family members, but that being said, I have a strong feeling that this season will be even worse than RI. I don't get why this article bashes One World - it actually had some extremely polarizing characters and an extremely chaotic pre-merge with one of the stupidest moves in Survivor history.

Also, Dalton appears to have forgotten that one season of Survivor was 42 days long...

Am I going to watch this season? Probably not. I've completely lost interest in it given all of the garbage they're throwing at us here...

I completely agree. I'm not going to enjoy it but I'll watch it for you and tell you how bad it is.

The cast isn't completely awful, in my opinion. Apart from Colton, I mean. He'll have to do something ridiculously awesome to redeem himself from his last season. Even then, I don't think I could shake that first impression. The twists are freaking awful though. Especially the bit about voting off a tribemate AT THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE GAME! WHY?! That sucked in Palau and it's gonna suck now. Ugh! Jeff is a fantastic host but I hate his guts as the showrunner.

yeah this season prob wont be very good. But I like Aras and I love love LOVE Tyson so I will watch it just for them. <3

You all will hate me for this, but I honestly think that this is the most excited I've ever been for Survivor...

This will be fun and interesting, but probably in the way survivor redemption island was the first time, and turned out badly. I always enjoy survivor immensely though even when it's bad ( Thailand many say was the worst season and obviously still even enjoyed that)

Her laugh wasn't that bad on the Philippines edit. At its Pornonosa, though? Downright awful. RC completely U-turned for me at the jury house... and she's still bitter towards Abi. -_-

Cuntice however is way worse for me. I'm sure most of you can figure out why.

The only returnee I could ever see myself rooting for is Kat. Tyson if he's tolerable Tyson and not ass Tyson, but... yeah. I really don't like this cast. AT ALL.

I also don't get why the producers want the show canceled, given all the shit they're doing. It takes a lot to get me to stop... and this season has managed to do it before it has even started. Expecting 7.15 million viewers for the first episode - an all-time low - and for it to drop somewhat as the season goes on. Survivor will be a bubble show after this year, but will be renewed for season 30... where they will likely end it.

I like to withhold judgement on the new seasons and casts no matter how bad they seem at face value. The twists are awful, yes, that's something that can be determined already, but people can change and surprise you. So no matter how bad the cast seems right now, they could be one of the best casts to date (although I certainly have my doubts about that). The cast from last season appeared awful at face value and while some of the assumptions people had turned out to be true (Brandon and Francesca, for example) some players were surprising (like Andrea).

Whoever let Jeff be show runner deserves to be shot.

Ehh I stopped watching midseason in the caramoan season. When they over use bringing back a castaway it loses its flare when they have a Allstars season. I don't think I can watch another season with Rupert/boston rob/ Russel/Russel's family. I lost all faith in this game and can't wait until it dies.
